  1. Not a method you're likely to use. 🙂 I used fastboot to flash vendor and boot image netman made, then used linage recovery to factory reset.

    Don't use SystemUI tuner.
  3. I would venture to say most of us don't want any of that, having a keyboard gives me full control of that myself..... however that doesn't mean the toggles to turn it on/off shouldn't be there for people like you that dont get annoyed by it, I usually just turn that stuff off if its enabled. Now that wouldn't be bad. A one line bar of suggestions. There's an app I've tried key mapper, doesn't require root, for this. (In fact I factory reset and unrooted now and its working fine). I started a thread about it.
  4. This device definitely does not look cheap. Its sleek and smooth and clean, open and closed. I haven't tried looking for leaking glue tho, and don't plan to.
  5. They either have to pay it to the state, or refund it. It would be a crime for them to charge sales tax and then keep it for themselves. So if they are not paying the state, they should refund everyone, not just people that ask, that's ridiculous.
  6. If you are factory resetting using the flashall, there's several updates after that, and you gotta reboot after each... make sure you're up to 10 december software...
  7. When keyboard is closed, yeah. At least how I think it's supposed to work, and how it worked for me. But I can't verify right now cuz Im bricked...
  8. I was focusing on my own issue with getting to notifications. Yes, modern android puts the quick settings above notifications. You can open quick settings by themself with two finger slide, but I dont know any way to open notifications without quick settings come up... and I tried (and failed) to do so! So maybe he wasn't trying to get to notifications, I just assumed as much... like gotta click that usb thing three times to transfer files (until you install ftp server!).
  9. If you have landscape lock and auto-rotation on, it's not supposed to rotate with keyboard open (although some apps ignore this). And I only saw it rotate with keyboard closed, and he wasn't moving it around much to verify if auto-rotation was working or not...
  10. Well, I ran out of time to edit the OP. I really wish the forum didn't have this restriction, never been on a forum with limited editing window before... But I thought of another bonus feature that would be really nice. Disable Quick Settings Menu in Notification List while Landscape or at least while keyboard open - Perhaps a toggle in slider settings. I don't need to see quicksettings. If I want quick settings I'll pull down quick settings with two fingers. In landscape, they take up 1/3 the screen with very little room left to read notifications.
  11. I think it is expected tho. Pull down notifications in any other landscape device with similar screen, it's the same problem. Ideally we should be able to turn off quick launch icons completely when you pull down notifications in landscape. (You can already open quick launch w/o notifications by using two fingers to slide). But that's a change/feature request....
  12. Did it seem like they'd already done it, or did they not do it til you asked?
  13. Did you have auto-rotate turned on during that video? If yes, that could explain this. (I'm not referring to the slider setting to lock landscape, I'm talking about the regular auto-rotate in quick settings.)
  14. @Gon009 This. If you set your display size and text size small, you'll at least get more than what you see now. You can also go a step farther in developer settings and play with dpi, but doesn't work well with stock launcher.
  15. I 100% agree this is is not a bug at all, but it's annoying - so much so that I bricked my phone trying to fix it, so it's not just gon009 who doesn't like it! I wanted to get rid of the quick launch icons from notifications, cuz in landscape orientation the waste a lot of the screen (and I would just use two fingers to pull down the quick settings if needed). I tried a systemui tweak and killed my phone, so I get to factory reset or wait for twrp to fix it... This I think is the only known bug you actually reported. The Camera button doesn't appear to work in any cam
  16. I hate to say it, but it seems like you have a hardware issue, and are going to have to contact fxtec for warranty repair/replacement....
  17. Yeah. This isnt' a fast UI for doing a major remap. I'm thinking about doing slant arrow+number row to be F1-F12, and that'll take some time... I spoke with the author, he's going to implement a feature to import/export profiles, so that means we could share keymaps (and maybe edit it with a text editor!), but that's not likely til next summer. I think he's going to add in labels for our special keys shortly tho, so they dont just come up as blank ovals, which will be nice.

I only get this when I try to flash... rebooted multiple times...
  19. @zurvan2 as mentioned right next to the part you quoted, I used the SYM key for / (KEYCODE_SLASH) and longpress SYM for ? (I used text). You could map them back to slant-arrow LP if you want tho. You don't have to manually remap the shift number symbols, cuz that happens automatically when you select a layout for your keyboard, either in the settings menu under languages and hardware keyboard, or from notifications if you're getting prompted to do so. To get special characters when you use US International layout, you push the accent key first, before the letter. Still playing around
  20. Yeah... seems like just yesterday, but I guess it's been over a week. S/N 1111111 (127)
  21. Exactly. It doesn't seem like the setting you're looking for, but it is. you turn off the gesture to get the buttons back.
  22. There may be another way to turn off home button on stock launcher desktop, but is that what you're trying to accomplish anon? What exactly are you trying to do that you what different? For example do you want the button for app drawer? Nova has that. Here's my desktop right now:
  23. This may be dumb, because you already mentioned the lack of sticky keys, but are you holding down shift when you press the letter? I don't think you need root to use key mapper, only a few special features labeled as requiring root. I think you're pointing to the home button. You can get rid of that with immersive mode... some apps use it... you can force it with systemui tuner but I think that may require root... when you said 'bottom' I automatically assumed landscape, for me that's on the right... and I've restored the other buttons too... As to regional letters without
  24. Yeah I've heard such. The solution for QWERTZ is FINQWERTY. The app developer has been working with Eske on this. I believe OP has QWERTY, but if not, disregard my comment, it only applies to qwerty.
