  1. 1. A screenshot would help. 2. The slant-arrow key combinations only work if you do NOT select a keyboard layout; in this state shift won't work for number row. If you select a layout, then shift will work as expected, but slant-arrow does nothing. I personally selected a layout and remapped my sym key to slash using key mapper, see my thread about it. 3. Don't use whatsapp, dunno, haven't had virtual keyboard come up by itself in anything I've tried. 4. Dunno, only put it in once, don't intend to try again til I have to, so yeah I guess flimsy sounds right. 6. If its s
  2. I don't know why playstore won't let you download netflix, but it's not because of safetynet, as I pass safetynet and can't get it from playstore. People getting their prawn from retailers also pass safetynet by default.
  3. I can certainly see dead zones as a useful feature. I tried to do it with overscan setting, but in the end gave up cuz it doesn't work in app apps, for example nova launcher handles it wrong. Dead Zone Control Allow user to customize each of the four edges. Ideally two settings for each border - how many pixels to disable completely (no display), and how many to disable touch response.
  4. Safetynet doesn't block you from downloading from playstore. Safeteynet is basically something an app can check status of when it's running. Doesn't affect installation. Playstore is blocking netflix download for our device for some reason. Usually that kinda thing happens when you have the wrong android version, or your device doesnt have some hardware the game needs, etc....
  5. That happens if you select ANY keyboard layout. That's not part of key mapper.
  6. fyi, i can react to your post, should show a like from me...
  7. btw, panicbro, in original post i think you meant 'interest' not tax.
  8. England and Switzerland so far... But rumour has it its coming to Amazon.... (to be clear, I mean the reseller, not the rainforest... so not a real answer to actual where they are...)
  9. I always imagined you as a woman 😉 If it makes you feel better, there are female pro1 fans in the fxtec discord (chatroom), including at least two regulars I can think of, so you're not alone.
  10. I have the exact same question. Its great if this is already implemented, just like Esc to wake, but if we don't know about it, we think the feature is missing... let us in on the secret Eske... what is this standard navigation you speak of... i want to check it out... i didnt wanna ask earlier cuz I thought maybe I was just an idiot, but now I'm in good company so its okay 😉

    Factory Restore Tool

Ubuntu 18.04LTS based: ./qfpkg_gui: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I assume I just need to install a dependency (maybe libjpeg-dev? or libjpeg62? lotsa this stuff in repos), or is this an appimage? aptsearch.txt
  13. Probably what happened, is the first time you use virtual keyboard, it popped up and asks you. You can then chose one, or make it default choice for next time, depending where you click. I have never set a default, so every time I use virtual keyboard it asks me if I want google voice typing or gboard. But anyways you could have just cleared or reset your default virtual keyboard instead of factory reset...
  14. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/io.github.sds100.keymapper/ I tried this app on QWERTY Pro1 and think its worth a recommendation. It allows you to map keys and buttons to other keys or actions. Its very simple, you add the trigger (push whatever keys/buttons) then selection an action, and has search function too which helps find keycodes/etc quickly. All comments about current Phone behavior are based on software update from 10 December. I hope some of these type changes end up in stock, but until then... Some apps (all apps if you chose another keyboard lay
  15. I got an email from F(x)tec saying my order was completed and got tracking info the same day the status changed.. so @OliverTypes I'd check your email, and if not contact fxtec support to see if they made a mistake like with ravelo...
  16. The one I posted was for QWERTZ keyboard. Which already starts with the letters unshifted, so the only letters that dont match print are z and y. It's the symbols that wont match up very well, and those are the ones that are harder to remember than letters as they're not standard... so that is a big downside. The version for shifted qwerty keyboard cannot be the same cuz layout itself is different.
  17. Yeah I agree Hook, that kinda mapping should be included. Fortunately this can be accomplished already with apps like Key Mapper (f-droid.) #5 PgUp/PgDn/Home/End It would be nice if these keys could be accessed by default with modifier (i.e. slant arrow or alt)+directional arrow. Additionally, Ins could be added on del key with same modifier too, and CTRL+PgUp/PgDn/Home/End could be added as Ctrl+Arrows.
  18. I tried key mapper from f-droid. I was able to map camera button longpress to open gcam or default cam (and change quite a few other things while i was at it) but dont see a way to make focus/shutter work.
  19. Yeah, along that long 90 minute stretch of road...
  20. I just crossed out #2, cuz I accidentally discovered, Esc will wake it up. Ideally it would be any key, but now that I know which key, that's fine too.
  21. Well, I wouldn't mind if that were possible. But that's not what I'm suggesting the bug is. The bug is that some apps don't switch to landscape when the slider setting to force landscape is turned on. On the other hand, with CM/LOS I think I recall being able to force landscape, force portrait, or set to auto-rotate, all from quicksettings, so its not unthinkable. But no, I don't personally need that, I just turned off the force landscape setting, turned the phone, took my screenshot, then turned it back on. Of course if I'd been on my PQ I'd just close it, take the screenshot, then o
  22. This is awesome! This is what Fxtec should have shipped with! Makes me really wish I'd ordered QWERTZ! It took me a few minutes to understand how to understand his layouts as I've never paid attention to these before, but for anyone whose new like me, the first character on the key is normal, the second is with shift, and the third is with slant arrow (he calls function). The pink means it is different than printed. The ones that have a grey accent too means you can add it to the letters on that key by pressing sym after you type the letter (I think - havent tried yet). For example i
  23. What David said is right - with the caveat that you'll ONLY be getting LTE service and using voice over LTE. Although Pro¹ has the radios for it, Verizon isn't letting Pro¹ on their CDMA network at this time, which is tied to the device (MEID/IMEI), not the simcard. LTE is tied to the simcard. So Verizon won't activate a Pro¹, but if you have a working SIM card from a device they did activate, that supports voice over LTE, then you can move that simcard to pro1 and use it LTE only.
