  1. I know right? But that there is one guy fielding all social media and emails and all customer support? For thousands of customers? I highly doubt that. Busy guy. Maybe they have been reading Atlas Shrugged too much.
  2. Amongst other things I saw this... Mayhap they can redeem themselves a bit by giving us a damned case! 🤣
  3. I say take whatever means necessary. Fxtec does not have a legal leg to stand on, so they won't dispute/refute any claims. As far as Francisco, that's just a generic name that is used for all email replies to make it seem like you are talking to an individual rather than whomever is answering the emails that day. Good luck.
  4. I am still waiting to hear back about the battery. Cost is high but I want one.
  5. I am still waiting to hear back regarding my request for a replacement battery. I sent in my address and phone # for a shipping quote and no one has responded yet.
  6. They don't have the money. File a claim through your bank or credit card company
  7. I am so sorry to hear that. I don't know much about financial institutions other than in the US the customer generally is favored in transactions.
  8. There is no such thing as money used up. Your account and purchases are insured. Where do you live?
  9. I agree. And I was surprised that someone sent that via text and not email. I don't have any disrespect for fxtec and don't think that they would intentionally scam customers. I think whomever sent it doesn't realize I have always been a staunch supporter of the company and the staff. The situation - whatever it is or is not - is unfortunate, but I don't believe it is any kind of scheme. I would really like to know who got my cell # to send me that.
  10. Thanks Casey. I have never gotten any other communication via test - always via email and never anything like this.
  11. I got a text message (not email) so I don't know who it came from, but it said: "Listen Maya it's not like we never made the devices or tried to get them to you, but things are out of our control right now. They are taking them from the warehouse, inventory is a hot mess, we don't know who has what and we are seeing them pop up on other sites for way less and we can't stop it. We owe these people money and they don't want to wait to let us get things together. Indiego is a pyramid scheme and we never pretended it was different. We just thought things would go differently and we would be abl
  12. I agree. In three years, I never dared trying to learn to open the Pro1 single-handedly, out of fear it would jump out of my hand in the process. I could never have afforded an N950 (😉) but even my N900's simple sliding keyboard mechanism was more practical from my point of view. How are you guys opening your phones? Aside from Day 1 I have never had a problem... https://photos.app.goo.gl/cMvjas963yyQAj619
  13. My post should help you Got My Refund You can complain, you can post about how they are doing you wrong. I am not saying that your wants/needs are invalid. I am saying that from what I have read you tried ONE time in ONE way to get a refund. They didn't respond. You know what? The finance team never responded to me either, and my regular contacted wouldn't even talk about it. So I had choices: suffer/whine/deal...or find another way. I found another way. Have you tried contacting your bank or CC company? Fxtec does not have a legal leg to stand on so they are not going to
  14. Terms of Sale also state the following. The buyers are covered. I could have waited for the finance team to get in touch with me, but after 5 emails asking for proof of cancellation with no reply other than "I will pass that along to the finance team" I went the other route and contacted my credit card company. Fxtec has not case and can not contest the sale/charge when it's going on 2 years (for me) and they did not provide the product. Know your rights, and take control of your finances. Even as an IGG backer you still have a valid case for a refund.
  15. I just meant I don't even think THEY know the extent of what is going on.
  16. I order things to the US from China not regularly, but frequently. The longest I have had to wait in the past 3 years has been about 3 weeks from order to delivery. Most recently I ordered something on March 8th and got the package on March 17th. I am not saying that fxtec does not have legit problems; I'm just saying there is more to the story. I really feel bad for them, because it's a great phone and they did such an amazing thing taking on the market and producing a device that mostly lives up to its promise. I love my Pro1. I wanted my husband to love his X. I hope that th
  17. "Devices for the remaining backers are ready and in Hong Kong. Due to ongoing difficulties with our shipping partner, we are working through getting them shipped as soon as possible. We cannot share further details as we do not want to breach business confidentiality. " Those are really the same words in different order.
  18. Yes, I ordered directly from the website not IGG. But I guess it really does depend. IGG's refund policy says that you should contact your campaign owner. Nowhere on the original campaign is there a disclaimer saying "No guarantee of equipment being provided" or anything like that. So I guess it then becomes a matter for the CC or bank. I honestly think whether it was through IGG or the website directly, once anyone provides the documentation saying that they did not get what they ordered, it has literally been years, and the company will not communicate regarding refunds, the banks/C
  19. I feel sad too. Today it officially cleared. I'm glad that there is at least some recourse for those people who really, truly want a refund.
  20. So after patiently waiting for fxtec to come through and give me my refund for my canceled order placed on 2021.04.21 I called my credit card company and disputed the charges. I gave them all the information (date order placed, order #, number of emails I sent asking for a refund, how I contacted them, and the fact that no credit or confirmation of refund has been provided along with no contact from the "finance team"). I am happy to report that despite it being over 2 years, my credit card company provided me with a FULL refund and said that they will handle the rest of the claim. I did
  21. I still want it deducted from what they owe me 😄
