  1. 1450€? Did you buy two? Look, get your refund if you think it's a phone you won't want. They will give it to you, based on all previous interactions. There's no need to keep whining. While I understand the frustration. there are people who have been waiting a lot longer than you.
  2. @EskeRahn suggest this thread be moved to the "How-To" category rather than letting it get lost in General Discussion.
  3. So looks like this is the battery source (the company, not the wholesale web site hosting the company's catalog. https://sunshinelec.manufacturer.globalsources.com/si/6008825825782/Showroom/3000000213584/15428/Mobile-phone-battery.htm Looks like they only work wholesale and are not consumer oriented. They don't list a replacement battery for our phone so it is probably special order in batches. Unless it's one of the Samsung batteries, lol. But I couldn't find any leads. Guess we have to depend on F(x) Tec to get spare batteries, maybe after (if) operations become normal.
  4. Best pictures of the battery we have had so far! Thanks! 👍
  5. Working fine so far. I have now made Fuguris my default browser, I am so happy with it. Thanks again for your continuing work.
  6. So, I'm curious. where does the name of this browser come from. It could be related to fulgurite, there's a battery company called Fulguris and I also think it's also the name of a pokemon in some localities. 😀
  7. Thought so. You might want to look through this thread. What you will see is that this has happened to several of us on Verizon, myself included (in my case it happened early on, cleared up, and then came back). No one can figure exactly why, so far, but it is most likely not the phone but it's tenuous and unofficial use of Verizon's network. I finally gave up and went to AT&T. Again, I doubt this is an actual bug with the phone.
  8. I'm not the most knowledgeable person here, but I know from experience that the following instructions will return you to factory state with all partitions restored. You will lose all your data. In fact, it won't properly reboot unless you wipe /userdata, but this should save you. You don't have to type all the commands. When you download the zip, there is a flashall batch file that will issue all the commands, but it does not include the commad to erase /userdata so make sure you issue that command first. When done, you will be on the factory stock Android from last October. Th
  9. This worked. I use Root Explorer and I hadn't tried the long press. When you tap it, it offers a small set of apps to open it with including, in my case, Firefox and Chrome, but not Fulguris. But when I long press and do open with, I get a very rich set of choices, including all apps. I was able to open with Fulguris and then make a bookmark to the file, which works great. 👌 Not on my Pro1. Shows up as Fulguris, not Lightning. But thanks for the tip! 🙂
  10. You are welcome. Thanks for all the work you are doing for our Pro1. 🙂 Ah, you are right. For some reason I had thought I tested that and it didn't work either but it does. So that's fine! That's fine. As I said, not super important. By the way, using the html file does work, but not the way you jokingly suggested. 😉 Stock Android does not seem to consider Fulguris to be a browser, so doesn't offer it as an app to open an html file with. So first I have to open the file with an html viewer. Then, when I tap a link it does offer Fulguris to open the link, but there is n
  11. i'm liking this browser quite a bit, thank you. One small annoyance is that if you go to a second level in the settings menu (say, settings /advanced settings), the navigation arrow at the top takes you back to your current web page rather than back to the top level settings menu. Also, I would love to import my Firefox bookmarks. Firefox has them in a simple HTML file if there would be a simple way to read the file in. Not super important. I don't know how hard or easy it would be. Just curious.

  13. I suspect you need to go to to Settings, System, Languages & Input, physical keyboard, tap Fxtec Pro 1. When the box pops up tap set up keyboard layouts. Then make sure all keyboard layouts are unchecked. Then arrow back and it should show your layout as default. Without FinQwerty, picking *any* keyboard layout will mess up being able to use the FN key.
  14. Not sure I'm following this. Even without key remapping, the keyboard is perfectly usable if a little weird. You can certainly get a question mark—Fn (slant arrow)+L FinQwerty restores using the shift for all num row symbols, but can't for ? or /. FN+L and FN+P is a little strange, as I said, but it's learnable. Not having TWRP is inconvenient—I've twice had to reflash my phone using factory images and both times had to completely rebuild it. The second rebuild was my fault because I had failed to notice I let Titanium Backup use internal memory, which is useless. 😄 But the fact is
  15. I think part of it is the variation in the expectations people bring to the phone. This phone is not for everyone. It's not a polished experience at all times. I expected that and it is a trade I'm willing to make for, not only a physical keyboard, but for a phone I can easily tweak, root etc. This phone is perfect for me, not because it is a perfect phone, but because it closely aligns with want I want and need. Quite honestly, that was the appeal of the Nexus phones I had previously. They also had rough edges in both software and hardware, but they were my first choice over Samsung
  16. Here it is for now. I have it bookmarked in my browser... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15uE12Yv5nMvIF42U33cY5FQoF6M66QIn00cC876uf7Y/edit#gid=0
  17. Oh, for heaven's sake, you completely ignore the substance of Eske's post and bring out the Flag and a full marching band for the humorous quip he made at the end (I'm not really sure what having three full grown daughters with families has to do with anything here, but congratulations). And lol on the the comment about GB our mother country. 😄
  18. @tdm Thank you for whatever you can do whenever you can do it. Right now, the number one priority is taking care of yourself and your family. Bless you for all you have already done! Cheers!
  19. I use Firefox on the Pro 1. I do like it, but I mostly use it because it syncs with my desktop and two laptops (Windows and Linux) that all use Firefox, my preferred computer browser.
  20. @Erik Yes, that works and it is a very nice summary of the instructions that those of us on (or who were on 😉 ) Verizon have used (I found Global worked nicely as network setting). The only caveat is that, for some of us, it doesn't keep working, the most common failure seeming to be that you can receive but not send SMS. Why? I don't know, I certainly don't think it's the phone. I'd love to find an explanation. It happened to me twice. On the other hand, the phone worked wonderfully on Verizon for the better part of 3 months. However, especially in these times, I didn't feel I could tole

  22. It works fine with both my Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch and with Android Auto in my car. I don't use my phone for listening to music, so haven't tried my Sony BT headphones. What I do find is that sometimes the phone has trouble pairing with the auto when the watch is paired, but not always. I should try and sort it out better, but especialy since I'm not using my car as much as I used to with limited travel, I'm just turning off my watch when I get in the car. This phone is not the only phone or device I've found that has trouble sorting multiple pairings.
  23. I'm compromised, rooted and open bootloader, so, yeah, no Disney+, Can you find it for sideload? Might work... Netflix does.
