By the way, thanks @EskeRahn for this neat little trick. I don't usually deplete my Pro1 sufficiently to require it, but it'ds nice to know I don't have to worry.

On my Pro 1 with Launch Time (if that makes any difference) in landscape, when I have two split screen panels the square button changes to 2 parallel rectangles (or an equals sign on end). If I hit that key, it leaves the first split app but cycles through whatever apps I have previously used as the second slit app. If I hit home wit two split apps, the first app on the left withdraws allowing me to manually sort through the recents cards and pick which app I want to bring up on the right. When I tap that card, the app on the left returns. I do think two apps 50-50 is the Android 9 def

Does *not* happen here. Could that be launcher specific? I an using Launch Time. I also do not have auto-rotate on. Don't know what else might be a variable here.

My guess would be no, assuming you typed your reply where they asked you to. The original acknowledgement is the opening of the support ticket. After that you only get replies, however long it takes, until the ticket is closed.
-
I'm guessing, but when they send the acknowledgement email generated by the Zendesk there is a line in gray at the top that says " ##- Please type your reply above this line -## " I'm guessing that results in the reply not being treated as a new help ticket, not going to the back of the queue and also another acknowledgement email going out. That same line also appears at the top of any answer they give you, again so that nothing in the back and forth emails is treated as a new help ticket. At least that is how it has worked with me.

Look at your screws behind the screen-- they are covered by round black stickers. If any of those stickers aren't flush, you may need to pry off and tighten the screw.
-
Right now there is a known bug that when the screen goes off and the backlight does too, the backlight doesn't come back on with the screen. You have to close and reopen the keyboard. I believe it is being worked on. I don't know if that applies to all your cases or not.

I wonder if the mule trick would work here like it does for Verizon. Of course, you'd have to have an AT&T enabled phone that you didn't need anymore, which is unlikely as you were Verizon. Just curious.

Sorry, this juxtaposition gave me a chuckle. 😉 Still, if you get the WiFi Calling solved... hopefully, you will.

I'm not sure I understand this comment since, according to the specs, the Pro1 does support LTE band 13.

To this day, I don't know what my sticker S/N number is as it wore off before I realized it was wearing off. I wonder if F(x) has a record of the number of my assigned unit. 😉

This is because if the stock launcher implementation. It handles not distorting the layout, particularly widgets, by forcing a two column architecture on you. For the same reason, you can't center widgets in landscape.

That is fascinating given this was a new SIM they activated in your S5. My Pro1 is identified as a Moto G6 because that was the phone the SIM was provisioned for VoLTE in and transferred to the Pro1. Hey, if it works... but that is a head scratcher. Was it not a new SIM but one pulled from a turned in LG Voyager? Lol.

I had this placement on my Nexus 6p and loved it. Made picking up the phone and unlocking it a single motion. Rarely had to even think about it.

Key shortcut for apps drawer?
Hook replied to peter.s.fidelman's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
Maybe I am misunderstanding. If you simply want to search your apps, hit the F(x) Tec Logo key from the home screen and start typing on the keyboard. I assume this works on stock launcher and isn't a Nova Prime thing, but apologies if I'm wrong. -
The most likely reason for this problem is your SIM not having been provisioned for VoLTE in your old phone. That has to be done on the old phone first, before it can work in the Pro 1.

Then you might at least do mentions for Erik and Waxberry so they get notifications. 😉

I've never used screen protectors, even going back to my Palms (resistive touchscreen with stylus). Whenever I picked up my stylus I always (and pretty unconsciously) wiped my thumb over the tip).

This question should be directed to Fxtec support email, info@fxtec.com

I suspect you need to change display size in settings to make it smaller than you currently have it. I'm guessing at the current display size, 3 rows is the maximum you have room for. However, just a guess. I might be wrong.

When you make the connection, there will be a notification saying "charging this device via USB". Tap that and it will add "tap for more options" Tap again and all the options will be listed. Just tap "File Transfer." And no, it won't remember. That's Android 9.

I'm not sure of your point since I wasn't making a claim of either good or bad signal. IRL, everything works so I'm happy. I was just providing David with ping data from another Pro 1, for whatever it might be worth to him.

If it's of any use, here is what I get oinging the WiFI router gateway next to my desk <--I'm not an IT guy and am not very technical and may or may not be using the terminology correctly. 😉

Yes, exactly, the SIM has to alreadt been provisioned in a Verizon approved phone. In fact, Verizon online may in fact think you are still using the old phone. My Verizon account (Pre-Pay) shows my phone as my Moto G6. Verizon doesn't care about that, or at least they didn't when I clled it to their attention. I had checked with them to make sure they wouldn't later pull the rug out from under me. 😉

Here is the Verizon thread, and, yes, as @ermghoti said, Verizon is pahsing out their CDMA network and has no interest in allowing a new, unknown phone from a small company on their old CDMA network. They won't even register their own phones on it anymore. However, the Pro 1 works fine on Verizon (except possibly in areas where LTEis not prevalent yet).
