  1. Nothing to apologize for, I was just making sure that the blame (so to speak) gets assigned to the right place. However, as to your main point, that is a serious one! So you are saying that with Verizon you can't place/receive any voice calls on Verizon when using Lineage because the VoLTE feature isn't working in Lineage. However, you were able to place/receive voice calls with the stock ROM. Please verify that I have this right as it is indeed important.
  2. No offense, but I couldn't disagree more! As someone whose first physical keyboard phone was a Blackberry way back in the mid 90s, I can tell you that I'll take a landscape keyboard over a portrait keyboard any day of the week and twice on Sundays! I'm glad portrait keyboards work for you, but I know many people who are in my camp and think landscape keyboards are the only real productivity option when it comes to physical keyboards. My own experience has proven that a Droid style landscape keyboard blows away a Priv style portrait keyboard (I have owned and used them both, and have been us
  3. It's not the Pro1 that doesn't support CDMA, it's that Verizon won't allow the phone on it's network. Sure you can (sort of) fool Verizon by using a SIM provisioned for VoLTE from another phone, but the problem is Verizon not the Pro1 (which supports both the BC0 and BC1 CDMA bands).
  4. Glad to hear it, BUT your still stuck with that darn portrait keyboard! 😁
  5. @tdm You're one of the good guys, and I'm convinced you would have helped devyl solve the problem too. πŸ˜„ I'm genuinely curious as to what's wrong with it also. So when the time comes, please enlighten all of us on the sidelines. ☺️
  6. Sadly, I believe it's more correct to say Lineage HAD a su addon package.
  7. Ohhh, Ahhh, wait just a second here!!! LOL. There are a few of us that find this matter very interesting, I was kinda hoping to watch it unfold, but since that's not possible, once it's fixed, please fill us in as to what was wrong (yes, I'm very curious about what happened, if that wasn't already conveyed in the last sentence, lol). 😁 πŸ‘
  8. There is no chance there are 45k actual units ordered, same goes for 10k units produced -no chance. The number of actual units ordered is closer to (less than) two thousand.
  9. @EvilDragon The above is what tdm had to say on the matter. My guess is it will take more than a normal factory restore. I have no doubt he'll be able to solve this problem. Sorry to hear you got stuck with it, but, again, I have confidence in his ability to resolve this matter and would just wait till he has the time to deal with it.
  10. @tdm I'll take a shot at trying to help, but there might not be much that you don't already know, or haven't already tried... So the APN settings are indeed just for data; however, AT&T defaults many of their accounts (and MVNO accounts) to VoLTE calling. I rarely use, but was issued, a Samsung S8+ on Pie with AT&T, if I go into the "Info Menu" (*#*#INFO#*#*), the switch for VoLTE is (and many of the others are) in the off position and is also grayed out so it can't be changed. However, in the same screen it shows "Voice Network Type" as "LTE" whenever the "Network Mode" is set
  11. Features over security? Humm, that hasn't been my experience... more like extra security plus bonus features. Edit: I replied before switch to this new page where I saw tdm's response. His is much more elaborate, lol.
  12. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I never use OTAs either, I also don't like wasting 4 Gb for no reason, and I'm not at all nervous about re-partitioning the device.
  13. Is it too early for Easter themed wallpaper or... 😁😁😁
  14. This is fantastic. Without a doubt, I'll be a LOS guy, but until it's ready this is very tempting. Thanks!! Edit: Since OTAs are out (which I like), can it be repaved to axe A/B support and gain the extra internal 4 Gb as well?
  15. I plan on using LOS, but I second this request.
  16. Ok, well that makes sense because the MMS default provisioning sends the messages through the data core (either EV-DO or LTE). However, the default provisioning for outgoing SMS and non-VoLTE voice is via CDMA. For now, just convert all the messages you are sending to MMS and they will go through; however, the only way that I know to successfully get texts working is to start with a fresh SIM, in a mule, without access to the CDMA system when activated. That said, it might be worth putting it back into your Moto (I think it was a G6), setting the preferred network type to only LTE, and call
  17. Because it sounds and looks cool, and we all know style is so much more important than function! πŸ˜‰ Look ma no wires! 😁
  18. @Hook Before I throw in my $0.02, can you verify that you can send MMS messages.
  19. Yes, 100% agree with @silversolver, for me, Brave is the only way to go. I run it on everything I can and it works well. I too support what they are attempting to achieve, but even if I didn't it runs quickly and efficiently.
  20. Those whackos are the pencil pushers. I promise you there is many an engineer over there who are using D4s. I too will use it till the bitter end, but because it's such a productive device. It lacks the necessary LTE bands, but it hauls ass on their CDMA network where 13 isn't implemented.
  21. I kind of inferred that is what you were saying because of how you worded it, and because the original link was from back on 12/30. Makes perfect sense now, thanks!
  22. Oh, I'm with you, I know those large files are out there! ...I just don't deal with them on my phone. Heck. I'm on a Droid 4 as a daily driver and, most often, function just fine with the internal 16Gb! Takes some practice, and I wish there was more, but I make it work. 😁
  23. I agree with everything you have said about things being a matter of who you speak to at Verizon. I have also stated on these forums that Verizon is a huge bureaucracy where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. That said, I can assure you that regardless of who you are speaking to (and, most of the time, I deal directly with engineers at the NOC), a device will only be activated if it's an 'authorized device', and you don't have to rely on a Verizon employee to find out if it is authorized. You can just use the BYOP URL (https://www.verizonwireless.com/od/prepaid/bring-y
  24. The link that @Craig posed above comes up as 404 Not Found. The URL is: http://files.nwwn.com/android/pro1/QX1000_user_20191028_oldfirehose_base.qfp It's to the 'oldfirehose' file, that's the link he said isn't working. The 20191028 file that you are referencing (and is downloadable) is at: http://files.nwwn.com/android/pro1/QX1000_user_20191028.qfp
