  1. The file permissions aren't set for us to be able to see/download the file. The only visible files are two .html files.
  2. Well the 4Gb per file limitation (again, per file, not per disk -so to speak) is in the FAT32 file system. So regardless of whether it was formatted by the Pro1 or in other hardware, as long as it was formatted as FAT32 the limitation will exist. Thus, I think the real question is will the Pro1 read exFAT, NTFS, etc. formats? Personally, I rarely deal with files greater than 4Gb, let alone on a phone, so this doesn't pose a problem.
  3. This is not entirely accurate. Verizon won't activate any device that doesn't support VoLTE; however, once they activate a VoLTE device it it will work on their CDMA networks. I know this to be a fact because I have done it, and, last weekend, a friend just activated an older LG G3 with them and never even turned on VoLTE. All his SMS and voice calls are taking place on the CDMA network. Correct.
  4. The keyword above is should! I have seen numerous phones, including the one I'm using now, that still allow small amounts of current to the battery after a full charge. Many don't just turn off completely (as they should). This can be partially due to using the charger as a power supply to keep the phone from draining the battery, but in real life it happens.
  5. I don't see a reasonable explanation, but this might be because their communication is awful, and a textbook example of "what not to do." There might be one, like maybe most of the IGG ones are a certain keyboard layout phones and they didn't have enough of those. I have no idea, but, again, I agree with you about the lack of (seemingly) prioritizing IGG preorders (and I'm not a IGG backer).
  6. I'm still in the "if it's not rooted, I don't use it" camp. LOS has the ability to turn on and off rooting with a switch (although some claim issues with using it, but I've only needed to once and it worked well). As far as the PRIV is concerned, no reason to feel stupid for selling it, I couldn't stand it and couldn't get rid of it fast enough! Then again, I was used to Motorola Droids and landscape physical keyboards, but still, as I see it, no sale of the PRIV could be considered premature.
  7. While I agree with your overall point that IGG backers should have received their phones before non-IGG backers, in all fairness these two statements (above) are incorrect. You received more than a promise, you also received the option of a full refund (out of their own pocket). This is almost unheard of and you could have lost your investment, but instead they acted honorably. They didn't sell the same device twice, they sold the ones that shipped early on as preorders. There might have been other legal obligations (I'm not privy to this info, but it's often how it works) that we are
  8. Who knows??? I do! It's not going to happen anytime soon, Verizon is a big bureaucracy that is consumed with policy (or what they believe to be policy). Not faulting Verizon over the other large carriers, they are all close to the same with policy nightmares, but Verizon and Sprint (here in the US) have IMEI/MEID problems (while 3G is still in play).
  9. Good idea. Note to F(x)tec: It would be a good idea to take a look at a Motorola Droid 3 as an example of a fantastic bezel.
  10. Not to mention the battery so easily replaceable that it can even be swapped out during a marathon session if it was that critical. @silversolver I still get about two days on my D4, BUT I never keep it trickling on the charger after a full charge, and I replace the battery about every 18 months. They are so inexpensive and so easy to swap I figure why not?! Lol. Of course the design of the D3 was even better as one could practically hot swap those! 😉
  11. Completely agree with both of you about the D3. I like the keyboard *layout* better on the D4, but as far as overall quality of the build, solidness (so to speak), and durability there were few, if any, that compared to the D3. I used mine much longer than I should have because of the overall quality and wonderful feel. Like @silversolver I now daily drive a D4 and would continue to do so if it weren't for the fact that it's time is limited by the carriers.
  12. Agreed and agreed! Having a tool like this is a huge plus and something worthy of much gratitude. Fantastic! What a bonus!
  13. Wait, what?!? What shop? Where you bought it? As in you returned it and are done with it for good, or is this just temporary? I hope it's temporary as @tdm was/is working diligently to get this corrected for you, and the solution might very well help everyone. @tdm I have been watching and reading this issue with interest, as always thanks for all your support!

If I'm not mistaken, that was an image that F(x)tec released (on Twitter?).
  15. For me, the increase in productivity [generated by the Pro1] increases the value of its produced good, and hence it's worth (which is why I can justify paying $700 for it). 😉
  16. Right, but, in this context, we were referring to punched out of a pre-perforated card; as in made to be done by the end user w/o tools.
  17. I agree with you about the 2012 and 2014 dates for nanoSIMs and VoLTE (respectively), but I'm pretty certain that all of my Droid 4s came with microSIMs, regardless of whether they were early or late ones. The one I'm using now is a later one (not sure of the year, but it replaced a D3 that was in service for a very long time) and I just popped it open to double check, and sure enough, it's a microSIM (only).
  18. As such, I'll post my response here too... Thanks for the update, I'm glad you got it wroking. The key here is that your SIM was only about a year old and spent time in a VoLTE phone. I have tried multiple old (as in original from when I originally got my D4s) SIMs from Droid 4s, and not one was able to be provisioned for VoLTE; instead, all of them required replacement. Edit: In thinking about it further, I don't believe any of my original SIMs, as provided by Verizon, were anything but micro SIMs, they couldn't be 'punched down' to a nano SIM.
  19. Thanks for the update, it's very helpful. The key here is that your SIM was only about a year old and spent time in a VoLTE phone. 20. Oh, well then I must have missed that one! Clearly, I missed the 3/10 post, but I don't believe that 1-2/10s are shipping each week. I'm curious if there is evidence of this that I'm missing...? That would be about 390 to 400 (at 1.5/10) units per week, and I don't think they are close to shipping this amount. It won't tell us the batch we are in, but would definitely help give us a better idea of when to expect our devices. This is exactly what I was shooting for here. I don't care when I receive it, I would just like to have a realistic idea as to when it will ship.
  21. I'm not sure you read my first post on this matter. It was asking for the approximate size of the "big batch" (Erik's words). That's it, I wasn't asking for anything else. It's not a true statement that I have a rough approximation for the term "big batch." It may be hopeless, but I decided to ask since I don't think it's wise to not answer questions like this one. I agree, in regard to to prior communications, they haven't made wise decisions, but I'm hoping that, sooner or later, they'll realize this and change course (which is especially easy to do with smaller, less significant, detai
  22. Except that I don't really think that they are actually shipping 5 to 10% each week, do you? Also, is a big batch considered 5 to 10% or, since this is the first time the phrase "big batch" has been used, is it something different? If nothing else, it can confirm the percentages of phones that are actually shipping. In case it's not apparent, there's a big difference between what they hope to ship and what is actually shipping. I'm not trying to rush them, I'm just trying to (more accurately) predict when my phone will arrive. Whether it will be in January, or July, or 2021.
  23. Well for a few reasons... First off their communication has been awful and it has only been harming them, so changing their ways would prove wise. Second, please note that I didn't ask for any specifics, I asked for a rough approximation. They could easily provide this without divulging any company secrets (not that the quantity needs to be secret). Third, I didn't ask anything about how many have already shipped, or how many total units still need to ship. Again, I only asked for a very rough idea as to how many will be in this big batch. Certainly doesn't seem like too much to ask from a
  24. @Erik Would you kindly give us an idea on the "big batch" size? Is it around 50, or 100, or 150, or 300, or 1000 units? This will be very helpful to estimate one's chances of being in this batch, or if we should expect to need more patience, and calmly wait around for another batch, or two, or ten. Thank you, and Merry Christmas to you too!
