Doesn't help with the how but I made / 10G on my Xperia running Sailfish as I don't use many apps and thought it would be plenty then had to uninstall some apps to get one of the big OTA updates to install so 15-20G is probably a better choice.

Pro¹ X – state of production and delivery
suicidal_orange replied to Rob. S.'s topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
If we have an agreement in writing and I take it to an impartial lawyer they will say "you're right" or "you're wrong" or "it's badly written, could go either way". If it's clear I'm wrong my lawyer will say don't waste your time in court, if you're wrong yours will. Only if it's unclear do you go to court to argue, but if that's the case you shouldn't be confident enough to say it will be over in [time frame]. Expansys aren't new to the shipping game so their contracts are not going to be badly written and for that reason to me the court theory makes no sense. Of course there's always -

If they are that confident about the outcome of going to court it seems unlikely the other party would bother with the hassle and expense - lawyers earn at least 10x what a phone packer does and a packer could pack 100 phones in an 8 hour shift at just under 5 minutes a phone which seems reasonable - there are only ~2000 phones so two days at court and they're out of pocket, and they've got inventory clogging up their warehouse all that time. What does who gain from anything in this mess? From what I see everyone loses. Expansys look incompetent (the few perks/orders they did ship were -

I'm still optimistic but the fact that in two months no progress has been made in the contract negotiations really doesn't look good. This is not an ongoing contract to ship X phones a month for the next 5 years, it's simply to ship a fixed number of phones ASAP. The only point of contention is the price and assuming Hong Kong is like everywhere else prices are only going one way and that's up. If they can't/wont pay what's demanded now they'll be further away tomorrow. There's also the curious fact that December was given as an estimated shipping date months ago, as if they knew the n -

I don't want a second one but could buy on Expansys to actually get one this year if I could be assured of selling the IGG one later, but as always the update is vague - what is a "small" batch when it comes to complex manufacturing? The entire 2500 phones needed for IGG and outstanding website orders was already small enough to struggle to find anyone to bother making it, surely they'd need to round it up to 3000+ which puts the Expansys bit at nearly 17% of the total devices. That's a flooded market... -
So not so much decided to wait as thinking there was no choice, that's not so crazy. At least you didn't back one on IGG so you can cancel when you get tired of waiting, unlike most of us!

I've seen some crazy things posted on this forum and this is right up there. Why did you chose to pay twice as much to wait indefinitely?

You're not alone - no-one knows what's going on! The last update didn't say the stock was stolen so we have to assume Expansys bought some to sell and our phones are sitting on a pallet waiting for December when the faries are going to start shipping them. -

"Where is my phone?" Probably sat in Expansys' warehouse in China with mine and many others... "How many people have received their phone?" Some, no number has been released. They are also available to buy direct from Expansys and apparently ship fairly quickly. "Is ebay link legit?" I haven't seen anyone post their IMEI number (not a good idea) and the photos look good, the account is suspiciously private but did supposedly sell a PS4 to an establish business (63000 feedbacks) some time in the past 3 months so I'd happily bid on it. -
Droidian released for Pro1 and Pro1-X
suicidal_orange replied to Benni's topic in General Discussion
No experience here but just read the instructions and as I read it you run an app not Waydroid itself. Is this what you are doing? I'm very confused by the really - either something happens or it doesn't. (Apologies if this is because English isn't your first language) Another test, run "waydroid session stop" - if you don't get an error it was running. -

Found the below on the Mobian wiki, if you have the same files it's probably the same fix in Droidian 🙂 -
pro1x My [Z] key fell off last week. Can I just super glue it back?
suicidal_orange replied to JECE's topic in Support
What is visible through the hole? If it's a flexible membrane and you get glue in the wrong place the key wont work, if it's flat and hard you'll be fine (as long as you don't get any glue on the outside and glue it to the bit with the hole in...) -
Sounds like a dev unit to me, has one of the "community devs" finally appeared? Great work whatever your backstory 👍🏾

pro1x I got the Pro¹ X in the mail earlier this week and I need help

You're right - first thing in the morning I "only" saw two U keys on the Hungarian keyboard when really there are 4! Looks like two of them are on the wrong side of the Pro1's keyboard but at least they're not hidden behind the yellow arrow (Shift+Arrow+[key] is not thumb type-able) I'm hoping to use Ubuntu on mine so no idea what the keyboard options will be, your work sounds promising so I may well ask for a copy 🙂 -

If you must let Google track you for a while best do it while you're doing something random - when you come home you can put sailfish on it? -

I thought it should be, and I see no reason they'd reinvent the wheel for the X. It depends how you define a layout - if I want to put backspace on caps lock (great on a full size keyboard, not so much on a phone) that's not a language-layout which should be handled by the OS but it is a keyboard-layout. It would be good to change what the yellow arrow does as there are many keys with no second use - holding arrow and having numbers 1-9 in a 3x3 block on the other hand would be nice, for example, and as I understand it this is not possible with the current setup where the yellow arrow i -

Is the keyboard driver open source, or at least documented? Given the number of requests for layouts already (which I will probably add to if I get my fingers on my Pro1X and like it) with most devices not even shipped it seems work is required to make customising easier, and putting it in the driver would fix Android, Lineage and Sailfish all at once so seems the way to go. Completely customisable keyboard firmware exists in the mechanical keyboard world (tmk being the first and least bloated) and it's in C so although written for AVR much of the scanning and mapping code should be reus -

Didn't think my Xperia X would make it to my last birthday, was sure it wouldn't make this years but that too has passed and it's still going. No standard speaker for calls even after replacing it, temperamental vibration motor, ringtone and alarms, no sensor on the headphone socket, randomly hangs up half of incoming calls as the phone is pulled from a pocket and (or maybe because) the flip cover is now hanging on by one layer of rubbery covering. My backup Z3 compact has a dead sim slot and my trusty Nokia 808 has a broken USB so I don't see any option other than getting another phone -
pro1x Pro1X - Stock Android OS (Build Number: v2.1.2_20220707)
suicidal_orange replied to Casey's topic in Support
It takes longer to type or copy a command and it gives you the chance to do it wrong and both of these things are seen as "bad" when it comes to officially supporting something. It's copying - either it works or it doesn't and both methods do so why would you want to mess around installing windows, drivers and reading licenses when you could just use a simple tool 🙂 -
Pro1x - really poor connectivity to both wifi and cellular.

Maybe the antennas aren't properly attached? Not sure about the warranty effect of opening it up to check...
