  1. Hi guys. Just to respond to the question of whether the design impedes front first row usability, for us it doesn't. This may not be the case for everyone. My wife and I are both asian and we are shorter than the average in our area. We are both roughly around 157 cm tall. This means we have smaller hands with slender fingers so it may be to our advatange in this case. However, since I have decided to share this with people I have been incorporating some design revisions so that functionality is more generalized. No pictures to share as of yet but I will post when I get more test prints

  3. It might be a beginning of hardware problems with hall sensor. If it gets stuck again, try running the hall sensor diagnostics.

  4. Idea: I wounder if it would work with a vertical icon-toolbar in landscape to the right, (Reload, stop, Prev, Next, bookmark, and not the least the icon for https/http)

  9. And tabs too. Our aspect ratio is very wide, have room. Could take a couple cm on the right and wouldn't affect most web pages.

  15. https://eskerahn.dk/?p=3620 The P20 Pro cases (practically) all need simple modifications, that anyone can do with a pair of scissors, see earlier in thread or https://eskerahn.dk/?p=3620

  16. @netman @EskeRahn I like both ideas very much. However there are a bunch of basic stuff that are not quite working as expected and I will prioritize those over more advanced UI experiments. Here is what comes to mind: No recent tab stacking, only the tab list is used Tab list sorting Downloads UI is mostly not working Feel free to join the fun on GitHub.

  18. Interesting point. Didn't notice that, thanks. I wonder if making it thinner would even be possible without seriously reducing the stability? And at the least the corners should stay 'thick' , as those are the areas most in need of protection by a case. Though I at first made (well adapted) a flip case as a 'quick fix' in lack of something better I am getting used to it, and as I see the images here, I doubt that the overhead size is much bigger than this type of dedicated case. When you make the flip case like a japanese book, opening to the right in portrait, the flap does not interfere

  19. While this is definitely the best case I've seen for this phone so far (other than flip cases), this picture makes me wary of how much it would impede usage of the keyboard's top row. Could you tell us if it causes any issues? Could it be made thinner in that area?

  20. Depending which letter I change, that can mean thinner or thicker. It's like trying to perfect the ideal combination of T and F on a true/false test when you're not sure.

  21. I see. That sounds like an improvement that'd occur in the further future though. When it does happen though, I'd probably set both slanted arrow keys to AltGr and set Sym to Fn, rather than just modify the right slanted arrow, for sake of consistency. For now I've been looking at what I can do to make things work better in the short-term, as this is my only phone actually. It appears a quick swap of DEFINEs in the driver and a custom recompilation won't be possible, as while I have found the DEFINE for the slanted arrow keys (one define though, so my first impression is that they're physic

  22. Hey guys. Just wanted share the case I printed out for my wife. She wanted a functional opening case that would protect her phone and won't fly off when it opens. After many attempts I was able to get it to work. I'm probably going to modify it some more and tweak my print settings to make it a lot nicer and possible do some post print finishing.

  23. I just dropped my phone and cracked the screen as well! I’m so upset and sad, does this sticker repair it or anyone try to replace their screen yet? looking for help! Also the drop seems to mess with my incoming calls audio. I can’t hear the other person but they can hear me just fine. 😞
