  1. Hi Guys, Just an update of the progress. After the front case breaking twice due to drops, I made it a bit beefier. I also Cut out a section so that the front case does not sit on the first row keys. Not sure if it is enough for people with bigger fingers or with long finger nails. I'd need to find someone with thicker fingers to try it out. I also made some more adjustments to the the back case for usability. I don't have super detailed pictures of the back case adjustments but I am fairly confident that I am close to finished product. Here are some shots. If yo

  3. I never thought of posting it. I tried Open Camera and one other app. Open Camera worked for a while but also this one stopped working. I can take a picture, but the green triangle/arrow point won't show. The snapragon camera app never worked for me. Maybe a hard reset is in order. So I just uninstalled all camera capable apps. Cleared cache on camera app and rebooted. The app starts but doesn't take pictures. A regular app not responding notification. This issue was almost right from the start and thought it was a bug. Did't bother to report it before. So, next step is a hard re

  5. Thank you for the feedback EskeRahn. For the cut-outs they already have a 1 mm fillet to them. So long as we have used them, my wife and I haven't had any snagging issues with them but I am more than happy to make a larger fillet to make it smoother. We also don't utilize the fingerprint reader so we have that section covered on our cases but the version I am making for the general public will have that opened up. I will attach pics when I get some prints in this weekend (or sooner if I can manage to do so.) Your eyes do not deceive you friend. I left out the speaker holes

  6. I have both devices, and if you can over look the flaws on both phones it boils down to how much you need to use your phone in portrait. Of the 5 main apps I use 3 are only portrait compatable, so the pro 1 is my daily device and my cosmo is used for my word documents, as I find it a better device to type on, it also has a Pound sign which the pro 1 doesn't unless you install keyboard apps, which for me kind of defeats the purpose of a keyboard phone. the keyboard should be fully functional and not have basic symbols missing, but thats my view. So you need to ask your self that question. How m

  7. I'm (not yet on Pro¹...) checking out some browsers again and for the time being I've decided to make Opera my standard browser, as it indeed checks all of my boxes – proper text reflow; allow zoom also when prohibited by the page; adblock; compatibility with the Bitwarden (potentially self-hosted) password storage app. Very nice.

  8. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure this version introduced a bug that can potentially loose all your tabs. Just lost like 50 tabs. I need to introduce some automated bug reporting so that I can track down such regression issues. It's too bad cause I really like not loosing favicons after restart.

  11. Not sure I'm following this. Even without key remapping, the keyboard is perfectly usable if a little weird. You can certainly get a question mark—Fn (slant arrow)+L FinQwerty restores using the shift for all num row symbols, but can't for ? or /. FN+L and FN+P is a little strange, as I said, but it's learnable. Not having TWRP is inconvenient—I've twice had to reflash my phone using factory images and both times had to completely rebuild it. The second rebuild was my fault because I had failed to notice I let Titanium Backup use internal memory, which is useless. 😄 But the fact is

  12. I had the Gemini, not the cosmo. However my opinion is the Pro1 is far more useful to me. TL;DR My Gemini is fragile, the hinge is plastic, and will eventually break ( and I'm taking good care of my devices ). The metallic plates are locked in place by tiny asperities in the plastic body. This is ageing fast and I start to loose the metal plates just by opening the device. The only good thing is the screen is protected when closed, but, the keys leave marks on it, as the screen is in contact with the keyboard. So use a screen protector film... There is two usbC port, but only one can

  13. So you use your fingers – but then you always have to have some kind of support to put the device on? Me, I often need to type with the device in my hands, and I wouldn't know how to do it other than with my thumbs, or maybe with one hand holding it and the other typing, which is even less comfortable than by thumb...

  14. In my mind, the best way to keep people from losing faith in the product when there are production delays is to be up front about the delays and keep the communication flowing. People can easily get antsy and impatient if all they hear is silence. It is the same concept behind hold music and the message that plays assuring the person on hold that their call is important. In this case it is hearing silence about a product that they likely have already been billed for. In all honesty, we would like to hear something from you guys at least weekly on the forum here. Even if there is

  15. I concur: especially for a startup, this phone is very, very good. I know the long production time has people irked but in all honesty: it's worth it. There's small bugs and little things that can be done better, sure. But I find this phone very pleasant to work with. Just... ditch the curved screen next round...

  16. Hey all, it's been a while since I've been here so I wanted to pop in and give an update. I live in Seattle, which has been under stay-at-home orders for over two weeks and will continue until at least the end of this month. I have a wife and 4 boys at home, and we are all healthy. But it is difficult to get any work done between the constant interruptions. In addition, I have been given a new project at work that will take a week or two to complete. So I'm afraid that I won't have much of any time to work on the Pro1 until at least the middle of April, but more likely the star
