I Just received my order of the Snakehive flip case and pouch today. I only tried the pouch briefly, just to test for fit and I would say that after a bit of use, it'll be the perfect fit. It's a tight fit but not something that you're left struggling with to get out with two hands.4 points

This is what I have done to solve a couple of key problems I was wrestling with. Verizon connectivity (both Stock and Lineage) and problems with Android Auto (Lineage). Also, the fact that I want to keep Lineage and not return to stock. This is not a solution for everyone. Some may even say it isn't a solution at all. However, it has made me very happy! I first should provide some context for why I have done what I have done and why it works for me. I retired at the end of 2019 and then Covid hit. I am older and thus remain very cautious, even with the world trying to open up. I st3 points

Thanks all for the input! After all it was through EDL factory reset. Seems like I downloaded the wrong package, a forum member kindly pointed me in the correct direction. I'm back on track!2 points

It seems that they have sent a refurbished device to you but they didn't reflash the firmware with factory tools. Your situation is like owning a stolen device so there is very little you can do. The whole point of FRP is to block the use of the device and data. I think that EDL flashing tool can help but I am not sure.2 points

in my case, the update seems to have really fixed the issue related to the "Wifi signal lost => phone crashing". In the past days, I have switched off my second wifi access point and connected directly to the router only (to test). Previously the phone would crash within 30 seconds due to loss of wifi signal. in the past days, not a single crash (as they promised). What surprises me is that now the wifi signal reception on the phone is constant, even in the most remote room (without the second wifi access point). It seems that the signal reception has improved (or is it the weathe2 points

Hi all! Just received a replacement unit from the kind people at F(x)Tec, just want to say that's GREAT customer service. Yes, it took some time but hey! On the other hand, I just can't log into the phone (for the first time). It asks for either some password (which I don't know and couldn't find it anywhere in the box) or google account. When I try to put my GA there, it asks for second step auth, which I pass (tried all the possibilities like SMS, clicking on a different device, putting in a security code from GA..) but it always ends up the same: a shadowy box pops up saying ,,ple1 point

If you prefer a more pure Linux experience you should know that an ubuntu port exists. I'm not sure how far it has been developed though.1 point

update: for me the solution was to move to lineageos and install acc module with setting up lower temperatures https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magic-charging-switch-cs-v2017-9-t36684271 point

I type a lot [Laptops, Keyboard phones, but not Tablets] The difference between typing on a Keyboard Phone w/Thumbs [SGH-T699, LG F3Q, etc] and everything else is where/how you can type. With Thumb Typing & a force rotation app, you can be laying sideways in bed == more comfortable positions. Laptop and Tablets require you to be sitting up and certain Tablet keyboard addons make your Tablet require a hard surface to the flimsy 'keyboard case' design ...even though the device is a "Mobile" Device. Thumb typing on a tablet is terrible and usually works best with 4" phones and1 point

I was speaking about this audio recorder. Now I took a record and I have noticed it is also louder in the first few moments (maybe around a second) but gain / cutoff are not varying during recording and I can clearly hear background noises and also my colleague's question asking what I am doing about five-six metres and two monitors in-between while I was speaking something unmeaningful in quieter / louder volume. 🙂1 point

I have also noticed this agressive noise filtering during video recording. I am unsure but maybe one of the applications worked well but the Snapdragon Camera which has good video record capability can't use microphone this way which makes video recording to be really inconvenient. Anyway, I have found a voice recording application which can record audio without this noise filtering effect, so it is definitively possible. Based on this, it would be good if it could be applied _only_ during phone conversations and not for regular audio recording at all. So I hope it can be solved1 point

EDIT: Sold. Hello, I decided to sell my Pro1, too. I prefer to sell it in Germany only. If you want to bid or buy: https://www.ebay.de/itm/F-x-tec-Pro-1-128GB-Schwarz-Ohne-Simlock-Dual-SIM-6-Display-QX1000/373198744195 Not sure how the price is, so if it doesn't sell for this price, I'm gonna lower it. Please: when I posted it on ebay-kleinanzeigen, I got like 30 messages from people supposedly wanting it and asking me to deliver it to the UK. I won't do it unless you are an active member on here. In this case I might lower the price by around 75€ compared to the buyout pri1 point

One thing I did differently is I go over the matrix twice, because my anti-ghosting is somewhat naive in that it gets confused if the state of the matrix changes during the scan (so i re-scan to be sure that's not possible). It's probably possible to do this in one go when you do the anti-ghosting better and I believe the way you approached it should work from reading the code, however I haven't tested it. So I don't think it's relevant but since we are possibly looking for a difference between the drivers i figured it's worth mentioning.1 point

You need a noisier washing machine.... 😇 There seem to be some sort of cut off level so that at levels below this nothing is recorded. In some contexts that can make a lot of sense but in others not, so what is lacking is a way for the user to select this level.1 point

I bought three Snakehive cases and completely forgot to order a pouch for myself 😩. Really annoying, because six months later I actually still want to try it. It's not even that expensive. I just hate the shipping costs 😅.1 point

Hi all, I just got a nice phone protector from MediaDevil this week (I found the link here on the forum) : https://mediadevil.com/collections/apple-iphone-7-accessories/products/artisanwallet-wallet-pouch-case?variant=38665797777 I prefer the "wallet" shape to a simple "pouch" because it provides 2 layers of leather on the screen. I don't want to try a drop test but I hope it absorbs more shocks! The black variant was the only option with "size 4" in stock. Dimensions are good but it's a bit tight to get in/out the phone easily and quickly. I hope the leather will fit better ove1 point

I've only played with Cosmo for a while but own Pro1, my observations from that: Pro1: faster nicer SoC, smaller form factor, only really suitable for thumb typing but really nice feeling keyboard. Definitely my favorite of the two because I primarily want to use it where I don't have a table to sit it on and type with thumbs. Also the way it snaps open/closed just makes me feel happy. The curved screen is the biggest downside in my opinion, it's harder to protect and more prone to impacts due to covering two sides of the front with glass. Cosmo: sadly mediatek SoC, very big phone, keybo1 point

I have also had a restart yesterday (update installed when it became available) while I wanted to take a photo using Gcam Port's camera. Display became green and I think a watchdog restart happened. I have a problem which I still have not dug into so Android keeps restarting a while when I reboot my phone or connecting a charger so it has started its "usual" reboot loop. ...but there is a difference. My reboot loop does not affect the kernel, so practically the hardware does not restarts but the Android on top. The watchdog restart above was a complete freeze or panic so also0 points

I got one crash today which made me late for an appointment because my phone was sitting at the "Draw your pattern to unlock your Android" boot screen. I can't tell for sure if it was due to the Wi-Fi bug though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯0 points
