  6. Hello, Soo today i have tested today touch fix on new display from ali. Method with goodix app does not work on los22...all was fine...selinux set, read data from display was working too, but after flashing new firmware phone makes reboot and nothing - still same. But method - flashing stock rom without wipe, wait for boot and then flash back los22 works fine 🙂 ...only reinstal magisk was needed

  7. The point is that the updates are not incremental. The weekly OTAs each time contain the full ROM, even if changes relative to the previous one are minor or non-existing. The idea behind the a/b partitioning scheme is to keep the previous version of the system intact for backup, while flashing a completely new version of the OS to the respective other slot with every update. This is to make sure one of the slots always contains a working OS, even in case of a bad flash or faulty download.

  11. one more note regarding protecting my battered Pro 1x: I ordered one of these cases, took out the wallet insert quite easily, increased the cut out at the bottom for the charging access, and figured out that if I open my Pro 1x, I can insert the bottom, keyboard portion into the case quite snugly, and then i can slide the phone close and open securely. I just have to memorize the locations of the up, down and power buttons as they don't correspond exactly, but not difficult. Now I don't feel like i'm risking another disaster. Hope this can be of help to others.

  13. Update after one year of usage: Current version (video): I still love it. I had to replace the keyboard one time as the touchpad stopped working (probably my fault since I sealed the touchpad chip on the board with super glue so it could have overheated. Part cost: 25€ The hinge system is still in place since the first day. At one point, I replaced the phone cover (which is fixed on the hinges with super glue). Part cost: 10€ These changes gave me the opportunity to do a better job with the backside of the phone so it looks more professional and to probably make it l

I think the April 1st dates in previous posts was a typo I kept perpetuating. Lol. So far well behaved, battery-wise. Lost 3% in 2 hours including activity post-update. Edit: Looks good. 7 hours, yes, mostly idle, but has only dropped 10%. That's par for the course given that I have background mail, dropbox ans calander syncing.

  17. Today, I found a solution, for my Pro1, for my situation (Germany). I switch from the network-type: LTE/WCDMA to global. I didn´t change following settings: Wifi-Telefone (off), VoLTE (on) And now, I can hear the call ring 🤗 (LineageOS 22.2)

  18. Lineage-22.2-20250414-NIGHTLY-pro1x with April 1st security patch installed smoothly via OTA. MindTheGapps15, and root was maintained. Notes: I encountered no problems after the OTA going from 22.1 to 22.2. I use Magisk, but only as SU, I don't use any Magisk modules. Also, since I update OTA, I don't flash newer packages of MindTheGapps. My contention is, that since Google updates both the Gapps and Play services, there is no need to flash the newer MTG packages unless you are moving to a new full version of Lineage (new version of Android) that can't be installed OTA. I don't k

  19. It's 2025, and I am going to necro the sh1t out of this thread because it confused me a lot ... but helped me getting the touchscreen on my replacement display for my Pro1 to work properly 😁 Essentially, Kaali said it all and provided the correct files. I uploaded translated and modified instructions as a PDF. I don't know why the instructions say to start the GTP Tools directly after installing it, because it just crashed since it can't access the hardware yet. The "fix" are the adb commands, which can also be performed in Termux (as SU) on the phone itself. Set SELinux permissive (

  21. The lineage page is correct. CPU-Z misreports it. I've had Lineage on for a very long time and it works fine. Lineage is currently on Android 15 (Lineage 22) which you will probably not be thrilled by if you don't like Android 11. Android 11 is the earliest Android the Pro1x can take. But yes, you can reinstall stock Android 11 if you don't like Lineage, but you will get no security updates. Make sure you thoroughly investigate the Pro1x's call and text performance on Stock. Lineage will not affect that, either ofr better or worse, so make sure you know what the problems are ahead of t

  24. So hello 🙂 I have today HW/SW modified Blackberry Passport. Maybe it will be my second device...or device just for fun 🙂 It works relatively good...yess it is old and yess it have only 3gb ram....but good device. It runs LOS 18.1 (A11). I have one question. Passport have on lineage same problem as was on FX (first custom roms) - multipressing keys. Can anyone help me fix it? Will be needed to add something like key press deelay.

  27. I know everyone has had their breath bated: "None of us can sleep until we discover why, oh, why the Backspace won't work in the Pro1x/Exagear/MS Word 97." External Keyboard Helper proves to be the oracle. Installing EKH and selecting that as the on-line keyboard somehow returns the Backspace to all its glory of erasure. I can't even begin to imagine the forum's relief 🙂

  28. Hi everyone! I decided I'd share my initial efforts on making a leather case for pro1x. I got mine just a few days ago. This is work-in-progress, I'll post the CAD files once the result doesn't look too ugly. But please note, it requires some good equipment and skill. So, since it's a true linux smartphone like they used to be in 200x - you even have to make the case and the rest yourself. Basically, I used the initial design from here: https://www.printables.com/model/267403-fxtec-pro1x-case/files and printed it. While TPU was not around in my workshop, I made a draft print from SBS

  31. HI, the Lineage Juli Update maybe improved the battery drainage a little bit. Instead of going down from 100% to 30% during the night (meaning, the Pro1 was at standby and "Do not disturb" was activated) my Pro1 was emptying the battery to only 50%. Slight improvement, but still to much to use it during the day at work and so on. Last night I had "Airplane Mode" on and Wifi on too. VoLTE (4G-Anrufe in the phone localized to a German UI) was on. The battery was going down from 100% to 93%. This is approximately, what I had in the past before the update of Lineage to version 22.2. I

  32. I've uploaded the latest build of LineageOS 16.0 (for OG Pro1 / qx1000) to https://findus.zwergenschaenke.net/~puma/linux.html#lineagepro1 The ROM dated 20250723 contains a WebView updated to chromium 138.0.7204.63. As Google did not publish any ASBs for July 2025, there are no further changes with respect to last month's build. I decided to still bump the security string to "1 July 2025" to reflect the fact that the system browser was updated. As usual, you can get an idea of the full list of changes with respect to the last official LOS16 from the patch tarball also available

  35. It would be far easier to stay with lineage 21.0: That branch still gets patched with ASB fixes upstream, so all you'd have to do is fetch the source tree and make the build, which is piece of cake. Basically all you need is a Ubuntu virtual machine with enough storage and RAM. Because of the new QPR release scheme, staying with 22.1 is more complicated: Only the latest QPR (22.2 as of writing) is getting patched according to the ASB. 22.0 and 22.1 are not and I'm not sure if the available ASB patches for 22.2 could be directly applied to them. At least in the long run you'd probably have

  36. (BTW it seems so greedy that the reduced current at 98% makes it hard to reach 99%, it has been at "98% - charging" for over half an hour 🙈... display off, checks about every five minute...) UPDATE: Got it charged to 100% and after 3h it is down to 96% and that is OK. So now I will try to reenable the stuff I disabled, and recharge. But still No sim, no WiFi, no apps UPDATE: After 75m it is down to 99% and that is OK. So now I tried to add sim and WiFi, no account, no apps, and recharged. UPDATE: After 4h it is down from 100 to 82% and that is not good, 4½ %/h... I will now remove WiF

  40. Here's another one. The ROM dated '20250326', available at https://findus.zwergenschaenke.net/~puma/linux.html#lineagepro1 gives you my latest unofficial build of LineageOS 16.0 for Pro1 (qx1000). To make the thread more accessible, I'll recapitulate the full list of enhancements with respect to official every few months. So here it comes: Backported AOSP fixes up to the "1 March 2025" ASB (official LOS 16.0 stopped updating in January 2022). Improved keyboard behaviour, partly backported from later LOS releases (code changes can be found in my local patch tarball).

  47. Those are hardware issues, unfortunately. All recent releases of Lineage (including mine) have a workaround implemented in the keyboard driver that suppresses unwanted multiple keystrokes (https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_kernel_fxtec_msm8998/+/318274). For the undetected keypresses, there is unfortunately no software fix. I have three Pro1s. One (the oldest) has that issue to the point where the keyboard is almost unusable, the second has one or two keys that sometimes need two presses to react. Only my most recent device has a flawless keyboard. All three run t
