  1. It looks good but it is in the "wrong direction". 😄 It really looks similar to BlackBerry. Unfortunately, it covers some part of the display but also BlackBerry has strange aspect ratio. 🙂
  2. Anyway, the first few times you mentioned this slow process I have not really noticed what you are speaking about. ...but the last few times it became really slow also for me which is the speed you are mentioning I think. As it works in the background, I don't really care but I think it is not really a bug but something related to the OS usage, user data, installed apps or anything related I think.
  3. I don't know as I have not disassembled the phone since I have this problem... However, I don't feel the connector is moving and I have noticed worn inside the connector at its contacts... Anyway, in such a problem, the best case is when soldering releases but worst (and more usual) case is when also PCB wires are injured or come together with connector's pins (detaches). Also this connector has some through-hole soldering for mechanical fixing, so it is harder for it to release without further damage if it was soldered well, especially as it was never fallen plugged into a charger
  4. I have the same problem but it has reached the state it mostly don't work and it is a pain to put it on a charger and it results in stopping after about 20-30%... I mean mechanically. When it only writes "slow charging" that means it does not charge (more than what the phone needs) and even depleting a bit... Today I only could charge it up to 80% in two stages which at least high enough... I have contacted F(x)tec a while ago and they promised a replacement, however, they will only have the part needed together with Pro1-X manufacturing... so I hope soon they will have this part..
  5. Mine does not look to be that detached... However, there are two ribbon cables coming from bottom, one wide which is the display and a narrow which is the touch signal. The connection of the ribbon cable and glass is a sensitive part but also ribbon cable can break but usually at places where it is bent wrongly. I would think the connection between this ribbon cable and "glass" what can be detached more easily causing touch-related problems.
  6. Do you refer to the ribbon cable-related problem I told? Practically it is not repairable...
  7. Wow, it is good to hear somehow there is a service provider which lists Pro1 as a supported device. (I live in Europe but read a lot of conversations about whitelist systems in the USA.)
  8. I don't have exact tips tips but it definitively should be applied near edges. Anyway, last time I wanted to do it better and it last more than my original screen but I currently have an insensitive part again of the very same position like my original screen had... I wanted to demonstrate one of my friends the glue is still holding well which is basically true, but I have found I can move the problematic (lower-right) edge a bit by applying force, so still it was not properly glued or it has simply released gluing... since COVID, I use some alcoholised tissue time to time for cleani
  9. I don't know why you are addressing this to me, I am also a simple customer here... Anyway, Chen wrote this on twitter 18 hours ago (not for me, but as a reply on Twitter): So I would think an official update is also close to come...
  10. That board will be definitively somewhat different as they wrote in one of their update that they had to modify it because of some radio/reception problems... However, I don't know how it affects Pro1. Generally, I would think the new board may have the very same fixing and conection, but it would be good to know what was the problem with original board and how it may work (better or worse) if it was installed in Pro1. For example, it may have a charging controller which has some noise what causes problems at some bands of the SDM662-related board... but we know nothing about it.
  11. This kind of charging problem exists for me since several months but I have noticed its cause is my worn USB connector. I did not use magnetic connector but I have found last year that only one direction works reliable for me... closer to the end of last year, I had problems with both directions... I have started to use a magnetic end but it did not look to be reliable from start because of my worn connector, so I have started to twist in one or other direction to have a mostly reliable charging... now I have reached a state where I starting to switch magnetic and normal cable as non
  12. Although I have problems with charging (as having a faulty USB connector) and today it was only charged to around 80%, I haven't noticed any additional battery drain so far. However, I use it daily using two SIM cards, so it may happen I would not notice a relatively small aditional battery drain... (I mean small compared to aditional power consumption of two online SIMs). So that does not mean it would be unnecessary to investigate its background, simply it may don't have huge impact on a daily driver I think...
  13. Same for me - looked at caps lock, pressed it, pressed again, nothing... then I heard about the sticky function on this forum. 🙂 ...but later my first thought was still caps lock, then this sticky thing...
  14. Right, we have discussed about that earlier. I haven't found any switch to enable/disable it either. Now I have checked it and yes, usual smartphone apps have it enabled but for example, Termux don't. I haven't extremely searching of a solution for that but sometimes I feel it is frustrating, especially when I press shift twice and only capital letters are appearing...
  15. I have sticky shift on LOS 18.1 but I would like to disable it. 🙂 (Usually it stops me in writing to look at Caps Lock state and find out plus check if pressing shift releases it...)
  16. It seems Pro1 manufacturing is affected, at least Liangchen Chen has written the following info on Twitter: Edit: Quote was not really successful, so I have removed some images/formatting stuff (quote inside quote of Chen's own text).
  17. Wow - really mainline kernel support of Pro1 seems to be good? ...that is a really good news. I don't know what it is still missing but I hope it will have full support as we may have great benefit if that becomes true.
  18. Do use a proper glue for fixing the display as it should not be allowed to move - bottom part has a ribbon cable from glass to PCB and if that breaks somewhere, it will cause screen or touch-related problems again.
  19. Just for reference, I have experienced problems with my second replacement starting today. So this time the screen took me 13 months of use... Anyway, currently I I don't have ghost touches but an insensitive area at the very same position where my first screen had... ...so, prepared to replace my screen somewhere in the near future... next time I may try to fix the screen / cable a bit better... However, I would be happy if F(x)tec would has sent me the promised replacement USB panel and I would not have to disassemble the phone twice but the time since my first contact (24t
  20. I don't know what device model of distance sensor Pro1 has but I think that is the sensor intended for sensing if the phone is practically on one of your ears or not. ...also, as far as I know, it has two kind of signals - close or far - and even if it would be able to distinguish some distances, it would not has been designed to work farther than about 5 cm distance. So I don't think it is a working idea and also sensor may not support real depth measuring at all... Moreover, this kind of sensors usually use infrared LED - one which emits light and another one which senses it (or
  21. @voheg We don't have experience with Pro1X yet but based on Pro1 experience, you may switch between OSes relatively easily (but it may need some technical interest). However, if stock Android means the very same kind of stock Android what Pro1 has (so really Android itself and only necessary modifications), then I would say you don't really need it. I mean LineageOS is much superior in any ways than Pro1's stock OS. However, it also has its own limitations like the lack of official Google support which may need to use additional tools to get the OS accepted by Google services.
