  1. Today morning I have experienced this keyboard bug the second time but I have instantly restarted the phone because I wanted to show it for my colleagues when it has occured. I have just installed this update, so I may see it in a few days if it is still working without reboot. 🙂 Also, I am curious if this is based on the improved keyboard driver which allows multiple keystrokes at once... I am also curious how the rooted systems could be updated relatively problem-free as it should be an updated kernel which affects boot image.
  2. I don't know how big it is, but it may not be connected easily as Type-C connector of Pro1 is not centered... (Which is convenient anyway when it is being charged and you would like to type on its keyboard - if it were centered then charger cable would be in wrong place.)
  3. I see @vlycop has already gave you a link, but here it is: link I have just ordered also this one.
  4. Absolutely right, I would like them to continue their work and also have successor(s) later. Also, it seems they take the project absolutely seriously, so I really hope it will worth the effort and also have later devices and they will have much better background (like funding from profit and not their own savings) that time. No, I have received it on 30th of December, but I had to do some steps before I could set it up as a daily driver. ...like I have also cut a protection foil and applied to the back of the phone, I had to do something with my SIM cards and tried other things so
  5. Yes, basically I am agree with you. However, I have bought a Pro1 from a reseller despite of I am still waiting for my pre-order and having IGG coupon here. I was thinking for a while that I will buy another one mostly because I will not do experiments on my daily driver and I would like to try Sailfish OS and maybe do experiments with rooting or recovery solutions later. However, I wanted to wait for general availability and see maybe if an unshifted QWERTY version will be available... but as I heard no news about my pre-order and I wanted to move to this phone while I have some time
  6. Additionally, it seems retailers have also received a very few amount of Pro1 phones and maybe much fewer than what they wanted. I am sure they will have additional stock after other orders are fulfilled here and that will be the time when generally anybody will be able to buy it. It also allows some more time of polishing the firmware anyway. Also, I think canceling a pre-order because a few phones have appeared at retailers is not a really good decision anyway.
  7. I don't know if special layout creator program exists but these are human-readable files so practically they can be modified but it also needs some time and effort. 🙂
  8. I use Vivaldi on PC and usually Firefox on Android.
  9. Shake Light - On my Moto G6, there was a built-in feature to turn on/off flash by shaking the phone. It does the same thing which also works on Pro1. It is completely ad-free and works in background DualSimRinger - As Pro1 currently does not have a setting of separate ringtones for two SIMs, I have installed this app yesterday. It looks to be working well, however, it seems it will request an in-app purchase in a week... Fast Notepad - I use it to take some quick notes sometimes Aqua Mail - I found it as the best e-mail client for me because it supports aliases, has perfect IMAP Push support,
  10. Yes, and this is where a special device with its own community comes in. ...at least it is what I hope. So if a usual device abandoned then the user cannot do anything. ...but Pro1 has open (or openable) bootloader, a keyboard which makes it special, a decent hardware and hopefully durable design, so I am currently absolutely not worry about it.
  11. Also I feel SailFish OS (or some others) will run well on this phone after a while and it is a native operating system which may mean better performance if optimized well. Also it may have a long-term LineageOS support if community will exists around this phone. So it may happen to have also some improvements by time and not necessarily obsolete operating system. 🙂
  12. I think a non-standard layout (which I would like to make) would not be useful for others. However, a standard Hungarian layout is another question.
  13. I am currently using a laptop released in about 2012 / 2013 - it still works well, not laggy at all and at least it has better quality than almost every modern laptops. So time is not necessarily means something is unusable, especially if hardware and build quality is good and is open enough to not depend only on manufacturer. Anyway, manufacturers sold much weaker configurations also one or two years ago. I think Pro1 is a hardware which may have long life also if manufacturer decides to focus on something else but we need them to sell enough phones to have enough users who suppor
  14. It works - at least currently I am using a similar adapter (a cheaper one bought at Aliexpress).
  15. I am also do the same. However, I would like to find a method to modify layout without rooting as I would like to use a somewhat modified layout of national characters but keep of QWERTY as much as possible, so it would be not a standard layout. I see the source code of FinQWERTY is on Github, maybe the simplest way would be to modify that package...
  16. As @Polaris also wrote it supports larger formatted cards but the filesystem has file size limitation. I have tried to format the card also using exFAT and it wanted to re-format it. Anyway, my Motorola G6 formatted the card as exFAT by default (128 GB). I am not sure if the system also tries to re-format FAT32 cards which was not formatted by Android (I have a bad feeling but I am unsure as not tested it) Maybe I will try it when my pre-order arrives... or maybe using an external reader through USB. One possible reason may be a longer video (in 4K, it may not be very long tho
  17. No, but they also told somewhere that they will ship it afterwards (for pre-orders). ...so as far as I know, only a very few of pre-orders received also earphones. It also has a printed welcome card with the (printed) signature of Adrian & Chen. I don't know if it will also be included in non-preorders.
  18. It would be good to also have a separate setting for ringtone of SIM2. Currently both SIM1 and SIM2 share the same ringtone which is not really good.
  19. Somehow it formats the SD card using FAT32 filesystem which means there is a limit of 4 GB in file size although the SD card has "512 GB" of capacity. It would be good to use at least exFAT which does not have this limitation. Maybe it isn't compiled in the kernel or there is a (vendor) setting somewhere. Also, f2fs support would be good because it was made specifically to this type of hardware in order to have a longer life...
  20. Fingerprint sensor loses its setup. I have set it up three times (all the fingers which was allowed). Last time I know it was worked until reboot, now it is like if it was not set.
  21. They may also have a contract which had to be fulfilled but anyway, resellers are also important in long-term run. However, I don't think pouch is part of the non-preorder packages and the Pro1 I bought from Dragonbox (as I still have no info about my own pre-order) also had a pouch inside. So it seems they are also some type of pre-orderers.
  22. This topic was not really had much information about production status anyway. Instead, it seems like a general thread... also that is why it is so long...
  23. Unfortunately it does not work. I could easily separate my test SIM (an expired one), it was still working. However, if I put an SD card in Pro1's tray, I can not even pull it out with nails, only with my special tools which may be used to take apart plastic things without much signs. ...and this is only a SIM1 + MicroSD without any additional thickness. So the slot is too tight and it can not accept the SD card and separated SIM chip on top of it - or at least I did not dare to force the tray in as it may destroy something or will be impossible to take it out.
  24. Just to be clear, I knew it may destroy the card and I did not want to destroy SIM card holder instead. I just told it was a really stupid and crazy design idea. I said it from the beginning not just now (even before Pro1 was ever announced). I never ever liked that really crazy idea. ...and yes, I am frustrated as I have to use two SIMs and I need an SD card.
