Not a huge advantage, but night mode is a little bit better implemented in 10. Also it is the new and shiny one that may have some security patches android 9 does not.

I have no crystal ball, but it's in the pipeline so it'll definitely come at some point.

This is definitely not by design, impossible on my unit, the whole edge of the glass is supposed to be recessed. I think the screen is even supposed to be glued (not strongly but enough to dustproof) on the edge. I think you should contact support to get it repaired or replaced.
-
This doesn't look right to me for what I can tell from the photo there seems to be a gap between the screen and the part it is attached to. There is definitely no gap where dust could get in on mine, I would advice to contact support about this.

That's correct, it is a separate issue in the same driver. The latest version of the driver I have is merged with those changes also. (I may have stated otherwise in the past due to not realizing merging with newer driver from stock inadvertently to me also fixed the crashes.)
-
The original driver may indeed miss keypresses if you type fast, I tested similarly typing "fjfjfjfjfjfjfjfj" and similar sequences fast and it would give something the likes of "fjfjffjffjjfj". Currently all I can provide is a boot+vendor image that require a factory reset to be installed and break OTA but fix this issue (if you need it let me know, i haven't written proper instructions down as of yet and it's sorta confusing), but soon an OTA update should come that fixes this. [edit] Note that if I am not mistaken this happens in the relatively rare situation where the driver is still

Good question... Could that be the Vendor_18d1... which pretty much looks like a misspelled 181d?

Having owned the pro1 for a few weeks I can tell you at least for me, this was a temporary problem and now i can just whack it open with one hand if needed and most of the time it just magically opens without thought. It's a great design, but like many good things it has a learning curve. And I am not concerned of dropping it when opening, never really was as I just started carefully, but now as I told it just opens easily because the motions are in my muscle memory.

If you mean the stuff used for corrections and suggestions, it's a mess. There's some android builtin spell checker/correction thing that has a dictionary part of android where you can add own words but otherwise don't know what is possible or where it is located. And then the IME (aka software keyboard like gboard) usually has it's own independent dictionary stuff, which depends on its implementation.

I have had no problems flashing the pro1 with fastboot trough one of my USB 3 ports, but this is on FreeBSD so kindof a weird case. I'd think it should work on USB3 but software being quirky as it is, it's probably hit or miss.

I sure hope that wowcube isn't the phone form factor of the future xD

If you are willing to tinker a bit running an android 10 GSI works rather well except for some keyboard related bugs (it considers keyboard always open, backlight does not turn on, no fxtec magic to force landscape mode). [edit] I should read proper, didn't realize you mentioned coming from OLDER versions of android. Yeah, you will dislike Pie, and 10, as I also do xD.

Overcharging a li-ion battery is catastrophic usually, but phone will stop charging when it's full. It can save the battery a bit to stay below 100% tho, but not knowing when a day will be like the pictures I posted I like to have it fully charged when i start the day 😄.

I have since done it worse:

This is pretty awesome :-).

About that... Can we always get into EDL mode without disassembling the device and if not, how deep do we have to dig in trainwreck scenarios? Or do you just need a special cable in such cases?

Discussion and testing on features and known&potential issues

Well what I mean is to pay mind to whether the keypresses happen to get missed if two keys are somehow pressed at the same time (even possibly only happening with some combinations and not others), which I happened to do and it was a problem. I'm now running a patched kernel which fixes this. If they get missed when truely only pressing one key at a time it is different issue. HDR seemed to work for me after doing the delete data+cache. Perfect it isn't indeed, shutter sound and the gallery thumbnail depend on the way the app is launched for me, they work if i launch by clicking th -

I think we need a proper issue tracker really... With some luck that will come :). Can you check by typing slowly or such if this is related to the inability to register multiple keypresses simultaneously? If yes, this will be fixed soon, also i can provide a temporary fix if you do not mind a factory reset. If not then that is somewhat concerning. I had the same issue with the camera app, clearing its data and cache in application settings has resolved it somehow and now it works quite ok. -

If it happens a lot or you manage to somehow reproduce it, definitely let us know :). -

Does it happen just the one time or repeatedly, and if so how often? -
Just to throw some more opinions/experiences in the mix: 1, 3, 4. Are things i quite easily got used to, I didn't really find the phone that big even (however my phone before this was a Doogee S60 which is a monsterously big slab). And as for the keyboard layout... I like the letters being offset now that I got used to it but the lack of a / key without fn seems like a weird decision to me. Overall still the best keyboard layout I've seen on a phone. On 2... Did they ever officially advertise it as being compatible with Verizon? I know we deduced on the forum that it *should* work, and it

So I have to correct myself here, it was posted by the official F(x)tec twitter, this photo https://twitter.com/thefxtec/status/1119617316034162688/photo/4

We need more votes, or the "medical grade smart ear" will defeat us yea :-D.

I was naive but red flags are now quite apparent xD. There is hoping the people's choice thing does get some attention still I guess.

I really wish they tried to describe it though 😂. There's no rules given atall.
