Ohh so we can win the peoples choice award but not the finalists from the judges panel thing? I wouldn't describe anything on that website with the word "clearly" to be honest xD.
-
The finalists have already been chosen though if you look careful, and the whole thing was rigged, the votes don't count :-(. Guess all that counts for them is bribes.

Strong magnets will make it think the keyboard is closed when it is not, because there is a hall sensor to detect a magnet on the screen side of the device at the top right of the keyboard (holding as one would type in landscape). If you bring them close enough to that hall sensor anyway.

I took one off for science a while back. PH0 driver fits. [edit] And my plastic prying tool damaged the circle sticker a bit but it reattached quite nicely. I'm looking into having custom small circle stickers made with a more interesting print than just black 🙂.

I'm only a 90% sure. The reason for expecting these to fit is that Chen (@Waxberry) showed a photo of a box full of screens on which the numbers are the ones of these panels. We also know screen protectors for this Elephone U fit exactly (which I can confirm first-hand). And do take my advice to contact support, they'll be more certainer, and perhaps have instructions on how to replace. Hope you get it good as new soon :).

I don't know if that's possible with these curved screens and if so it'd be difficult. Also I don't know where to buy the glass separately for these particular screens. But see what does support tell, I am not all-knowing ;).
-
You should probably contact support and ask them directly, often more fruitful than the forums I think. However we do know it's the same screen as Elephone U and U Pro, so these in theory should fit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32952316407.html

Apps that works great with a real keyboard and in landscape

To be honest I didn't know it comes with a widget xD. I use launchtime as a launcher now, which doesn't even support widgets, but I like it that way. -

Thanks for the info :). The caps LED i mean is the little green dot on the caps lock key itself, it should light up when caps lock is on. -

Came across this on my surprisingly difficult quest to find an acceptable free (and ad free) text editor for android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.gsantner.markor&hl=en or on f-droid https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.gsantner.markor/ It has some special mode for editing markdown which isn't really my favorite thing in the world, however it works nicely and plain text also is editable just fine. Also it's open source. -

Also let us know when the keyboard stops working like so, does the caps key still turn the caps led on/off? -
Power Consumption. How are you finding it
netman replied to MickH's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
The signal would have been like that most of the 20 hours as it was mostly spent right here in my attic where the wifi is far, I do have to say some of my devices get slightly better wifi here (and some don't, given the distance I think it's acceptably working). Additionally most of that firefox time was playing youtube, and i had youtube from firefox overlayed on discord as picture-in-picture a fair amount of the time in that ( highly recommended: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-background-play-fix/ ). And I spent some time video calling. So I think it did great :). -

+1 for launch time being excellent in landscape and with keyboard. The wildcards seem limited though now that i tried, just matching 1 char. But still, i like it a lot so far. -
What do you mean by assembly document?

I believe he is aware :).

Most of the emulator games and such allow remapping, and I think you'd be fine being unaware of the limitation since most keys that can block eachother are quite nearby to eachother, things like diagonals on wasd keys (actually wazs seems way more practical on pro1 but that's another discussion) pose no problem, even while using keys on the other side like jikm etc as abxy buttons. Unless the game in question is fixed to a very awkward unfortunate mapping I forsee no problems :-).

There's a keydown for every key-up, at least in the driver I had a stab at :D. And yeah there are some limitations to that page, I did various tests but this one is the most clear and visually pleasing :).

Quick demo of my modified driver, keep in mind i'm also limited by the my thumbs and trying somewhat randomly to press this and that to give an idea what is possible.

Multiple keypresses, any combination of 2 works, combinations of 3 or more depends on their location due to a hardware limit, but the layout of keys that can block eachother is good enough that you woulnd't have trouble in most conceivable scenarios (including emulator gaming and the likes). Ctrl, shift, alt, and fn (the diagonal arrow) are fully independent of eachother and the other keys. Edit: an additional detail is that if you press for example 3 keys where one of them does not register due to the other two being pressed the first ones pressed take priority, and if you let one of the t

That I have reason to believe it will come as part of an official update at some point :).
