Those are some seriously BEAUTIFUL PICTURES! :) I can hardly wait!

I'm using a phone that is rapidly approaching 8 years old, and right now I'm on a laptop which may actually be over 20 years old. I suspect my performance is worse than yours. It all comes down to this: is something worth having worth waiting for it a little longer? Clearly you have already decided it's not. I can't exactly applaud that; the Clack is the phone we've all been awaiting for most of a decade, and now you're willing to throw it away over a potential few weeks? I cannot even understand that. Put up with your old "Mr. Right Now" phone a little longer, and get "Mr. Right," instead of

Me too. I have attempted to update the compatibility list, and indeed have at the bottom, but the limited-time editing of the forum has locked me out of the top post. I am seeking Eske's help to update it. Great work on getting it to work! :)

Thank you! I am in the process of several updates after getting sidetracked with silly things like work for a bit. I am out of editing time period on the top post so I'll try to get a mod to make the changes. -------------------- 3.dk (DK): Working with no problems observed (1 report) AT&T (US): Working with no problems (2 reports) D2 (Vodafone) (DE): Working with no problems observed (1 report) FreedomPop (AT&T) (US): Working with no problems observed after manually adding APN (1 report) T-Mobile (US): Radio dropouts and poor performance for one user, ano

I GOTTA do this! :) -
Thank you!

It's nice to know that this compensation tweak is available, but I agree, the curved screen is stupid, but it turns out that it was the only thing they could find that would meet the needs of their device at a reasonable price point with sufficient supply available. Apparently flat screens in that size just aren't widely made anymore. I observed elsewhere that a curved screen was pandering to the type of person who wouldn't buy this device anyway, but was informed that the pandering has been so widespread in the industry that it was the only reasonable option anymore. I do hope that the Pro2 w

However, not to make you despair, I have a report of a Clack working on Ting, a T-mobile MVNO, which leads me to believe signal problems with T-mobile are highly area specific. Although I always did call them Trouble Mobile back in the day :P
-
He did elsewhere, it's an AT&T MVNO.
-
Thank you. That's the 2nd (3rd if you count Craig) confirmed working AT&T. Craig is using an AT&T MVNO.

Duly noted.

Any updates on desktop OS's?
silversolver replied to QWERTYAndreas's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I was thinking of that myself. I downloaded it for Justin.....Case. :) I don't even have my Clack yet! I could probably put it up soon-ish. -

Factory restore files are available, yes. On the card sizes I cannot comment. -
Team Win Recovery Project [TWRP]
silversolver replied to david's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
All silliness aside, that is good to know. It seems that the more "secure" Windows becomes, the more fussy it becomes about actually working. Bah humbug. -
For my compatibility list, was your buyer also a T-mobile customer? It sounds like it, but I'd like to be certain.

All the Verizon discussion should be moved to the thread specific to Verizon, here: @EskeRahn can you please make this happen?
-
Thank you for posting this so we'd know his experience! That was very thoughtful.

It will often require a fresh SIM and ALWAYS a phone that is currently supported.

DOS! Forget all this android/linux nonsense
silversolver replied to Craig's topic in General Discussion
Yes, but perhaps not with a set of driver handles that game understands. The S3 Trio64 was a very spec-ed card in its day, and not everything knew how to use it. Your resolutions choices are probably 1600x1200x16 colors (4-bit), 1024x768x256 colors (8-bit), 800x600x65k colors (16-bit), or 640x480x16m colors (24-bit). I had an actual 1M SVGA card running on Windows 3.1 back in the day, and for some stupid reason I remember this stuff. -
Yes, essentially the strategy was to ignore CDMA, or hope it worked anyway. Certainly changing an IMEI to match a mule is not stupendously easy for most. With working LTE and VoLTE the phone should be fully functional with no CDMA at all, and as Verizon has stated their intention to decommission their CDMA equipment soon, it will all be moot soon.

DOS! Forget all this android/linux nonsense
silversolver replied to Craig's topic in General Discussion
It is possible that DosBox only offers VGA, not SVGA video. High color is a SVGA function, and often requires DRIVERS for DOS. Ah, the good old days! :) EDIT: It's possible they're calling high color 320x240x256 color, as opposed to 640x480x16 color. Those are VGA modes. Anything higher is SVGA. -

But what if we network our DOS? Does it then become DDOS? :P -
Day One Impressions of Keyboard
silversolver replied to Craig's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I hesitate to call that a fix, as the functionality is present and working, just rather oddly. It's a mod, to change the behavior, albeit to one more consistent with what one might expect.
