  1. If you still haven't received one when all of batch #1 has shipped, you will have a reason to complain, and rest assured I will complain in case the phone I ordered in Sept 2019 won't come in batch #1, too. If you cannot contain yourself for the few more days that will take, all the more so after you have been waiting for more than two years now, your fuse it too short. And then tell us which other tiny, but "thriving" and "efficient" company has been denied an already promised supply of SoCs, making scrap out of their mainboard, in place of which they then had to create a completely new
  2. You can email fxtec.([email protected]) I'm pretty sure they have some. Right, that's how I got mine (together with a USB-C module that eventually has become available as a replacement part, too, just on time before my current phone would completely lose its recharging ability) 🙂
  3. My guess is, as I just wrote here, too, given that I now have received tracking info for my Oct 2020 IGG order (8/256 GB QWERTZ), but not yet for my Sept 2019 Pro¹ order (changed to 8/256 GB QWERTY Pro¹X), that they tried, at least roughly, to sort orders/perks into those two batches according to order/backing date, but didn't care for any specific order within the batches, as that would make just a few days difference anyway even in the worst case. Also, as some already said, F(x)tec might have no influence anymore on the sending order once Expansys/FedEx has taken over a pallet/container...
  4. Would be really nice if we had one or two older generations of LineageOS officially supported in parallel at least for some time after the most current version became officially supported... Depending on how good stock Android is implemented this time and how well I get along with Android 12, I might actually stay with stock for the time being, and look forward to seeing whether Android 13 will impose more nuisances on us or actually improve things again for a change. (Yes, stock Android is 11; I suppose @Noob refuses stock Android for a different reason.) Good thing is I'll be able
  5. In addition to In the end, for me only replacing the screen helped (in my case, Fxtec's replacement unit which actually is the complete upper half of the phone)...
  6. For screws (M1.4x2mm is indeed correct) there are a few more posts with links to sources here. I've actually found those black ones nice enough to not bother anymore with stickers 🙂
  7. After all that time it's more than understandable that we get confused about the exact year 😉, but I guess that should read 2020, as that was the year the Indiegogo campaign started? Anyway, good to know that notifications for first batch shippings are still coming up, and good to know that there definitely are a whole lot of IGG backers already in batch 1, too!
  8. Hey, I thought I was the only one left with an order dating back as far as September 2019 😄 Or maybe destination region? There's no tracking info for mine (September 2019, qwerty) yet – which is supposed to go to Europe...
  9. Just for the record, there are IR transmitter addons for android devices which don't have their own IR blaster: https://www.irdroid.com https://irdroid.eu
  10. I guess for the Pro1 X the same applies as for the Pro1 (probably no external DAC, otherwise it surely would have been mentioned in the specs):
  11. @EskeRahn Might make sense to pin these three threads, what do you think?
  12. Right, and so far it looks like they're at least prioritising unfulfilled Pro1 orders over Pro1X IGG orders. (On the other hand, a few more days won't kill us, either, and at this point I'll be happy if and when I get the phone at all...)
  13. Neither have I (September 2019). Looks like their shipping order is similarly incomprehensible as it was back in 2020.
  14. Everyone would have been "entitled" to so much since the Pro1 was introduced in 2019, and we could have defined "their job and duty" to include all kinds of stuff of which we now know that they've notoriously neglected it. In the end, I don't care, as long as I get that phone, whenever that will be. I've been waiting since September 2019 for their phone, and when I get it, the fact alone will be a major miracle in my book. And I definitely prefer getting my phone over getting metadata about its shipping, and I won't ask them about that metadata because it won't accelerate the delivery.
  15. So after my phone had already developed a big black spot and several bright lines across the display, now I've won first-hand experience with these ghost touches, too (no unresponsive areas as of yet). Funny! I just hope the ghost doesn't do anything stupid while I'm not looking. Good thing is, as of now, I can reliably stop the ghost touches by pressing the display half of the phone together, between thumbs and fingers, once or twice over the whole area after sliding the phone open. Then it's ok at least for a good while. My USB module and display replacements (from Fxtec, as report
  16. September 2019, here. Right, in the meantime, I got a pre-owned one, which is hardly usable anymore due to several defects, though, and so I'm still eagerly awaiting the originally ordered device. If the sending of the first batches back in 2020 is any benchmark, we should expect a few more short delays to be on the safe side, but at this point I'm confident we'll eventually get our phones. Just don't expect them tomorrow morning. Or, at this point, this week...
  17. The operation is definitely much more active than it was until recently. In response to my recent support request, I got a reply today that the USB module and display unit were available (£30 + £149 + shipping), and our dialogue went on to determine the shipping cost via FedEx, and the package is already 'in transit'! I guess I'll wait for the Pro1X to arrive, though, before I undertake the adventure of disassembling the old Pro1...
  18. Same as those of the Pro1X: 154 x 73.6 x 13.98 mm, 243 g
  19. Very interesting. Maybe the developers could make something of out this piece of information. (Unfortunately, with my broken USB connector, QC seems to be the only way left to charge my phone at all.)
  20. Thanks for the reminder, I had already forgotten what I chose! (Turns out it was option 2, with QWERTY instead of the originally ordered QWERTZ layout...)
  21. Just for the record, I've been in contact again lately with Fxtec asking whether there was anything to be done with regard to my USB connector and my screen, for which I'd prefer an original replacement because of the margins problem. Of course I'd want the screen only if I can get the USB fixed, too. They came back quickly informing me that displays were currently available; then they wanted me to confirm whether I meant the device's USB socket, which I did. It's been a few days since then, but let's see what comes out of it.
  22. Good question... another question is the Pro1 backlog size, so what part of new orders will receive Pro1-X from the first batch. As I'm likely one of the first persons to have ordered the Pro1 and not received it yet, and also one of the first couple of hundred orderers of a Pro1X, I hope to be able to add some data points to those questions soon...
  23. Suspense is rising. Have they succeeded in flashing our devices? Will shipping commence next week? Will my battered Pro1 survive long enough?
  24. Whoa, then it has finally started! Or he's got something else coming from China, too, like I did a few weeks ago?
