Found 2 bugs so far: - sound in WhatsApp is crickling all the time. Music everywhere is flawless, so I believe this to be a software issue (I mean distorted sound - it seems as if the sound is repeating itself delayed and distorted) - the screen does not turn to landscape mode sometimes; hitting home button and opening the last app fixes the problem so far

No wobbles for me (my Blackberry PRIV did "wobble" a little - this one does not at all).

Yes. It's not blinking as fluently and gradually as say that LED of one of the Samsung Galaxy smartphones do. But it does not annoy me. It also blinks in mixed colors (all at once) if I say got a mail and a sms. So indeed not perfect, but imo okay and possibly fixable via software. What annoys me more is the screen. It looks quite nice at half+ brightness, but has a terrible green tone to it if I go under 50 percent brightnes. But I can live with it.

Thank you! Now that's awesome support. Didn't decide to root my pro1, but TBH I am not happy with the built-in launcher as it annoys me when I pull from bottom, because it shows the recent apps. I have to pull again to actually open the apps view. So I think I will give Total Launcher a try.

I doubt anyone is interested, but Microsoft Word for Android (haven't tried the other office products) seems to work nicely with the keyboard.

Honestly I hope so, too. There's room for improvement on the pro1, but it does well for what I bought it.

No need to do that. Just update Gboard and make sure to add the proper languages in the settings. Had the same problem yesterday and solved it.

Well - I still got a fxtec device, but since it's almost the same price and I already got it (as opposed to paying slightly more and getting it I don't know when), I decided there's no reason to wait. I mean.. my order was around 650 first, but I didn't order it back then and when I did it was around 730. So I figured I could just buy a device from a reseller in ny country. Honestly - there have been about 2 months of wait time and no transparency from fxtec. Got mine! From a retailer, but since it was about as cheap as fxtec was selling them - I don't know why I shouldn't have jumped ships. As far as I could figure out, it works (with android). Gonna take me a while to figure everything out. German retailer, about 720 Euro, next-day-delivery. Thank you, you know who you are! Edit: it's quite thick, but the sound and keyboard are awesome.

Seems I got mine today (at least the package says so - I'm still at work and didn't want my wife unpacking it - I want to have that fun with the phone 😂). Now I just hope fxtec will respond and refund (they still didn't reply).

It's not just trust. Why should I wait longer and even pay slightly more just to get it from fxtec if I can pay a bit less and get it sooner? I have been billed 7xx-something Euro for the phone that I still wait for. Since that's not the preorder price - why should I wait? So I cancelled the order (didn't get a reply from fxtec yet though).

I thought batman would have gotten his pro1 in advance - perhaps not as far in advance as Chuck Norris, but still...

Since I got my tracking number from the dragon shop and it turns out to be even cheaper than ordering (and waiting) from fxtec, I cancelled my order from fxtec. Just hope the money back from fxtec will ho smooth, because I hate to be a grinch and force my AMEX insurance onto them.

The price is 721 Euro (minus 115 Euro tax and 6,30 Euro for default DHL-shipping).

I bought one so it went to 14. Honestly it even ships from Germany and is cheaper than ordering from fxtec (by 15 Euro) - 721 vs 736 I believe. So if it arrives earlier, I'll cancel the fxtec-order. Also I can imagine them getting their stock before the usual orders because imagine someone cancelling 1 order vs e.g. 15... so I am hoping for the best.

Is remapping of the button possible, @Craig, or is it just the sound missing? What about appearing in the link list you mentioned earlier - did a gcam port do so? I'm just curious, because I also like that sound so I know a photo was taken.

*sigh* guess I should get used to delays.. read about them often enough. Luckily I didn't really expect the phone to arrive the next week - don't even have a stock assigned yet.

Germany here, paid a few months ago - just when it went from 650euro (2 days before I ordered) to full price (736euro). The wait is the same, guess I just wasn't lucky enough... QWERTZ-layout btw.

Honestly? If I were allowed to choose, I'd rather not have anyone actually get and keep my data. I do not care what good they might or might not be doing. One reason I liked Windows XP and even 7 was the fact, that they were much more privacy-friendly. I dislike Windows 10 for this reason (yet as a software architect I am using it both at work AND at home - though only on my laptop and my gaming rig, which will become one and the same computer in a few months thanks to eGPU).
