xhajt03 27
I understand that I'm lucky compared to others (since I received my FxTec Pro1x rather long time ago), but although the report states that accessories were shipped as well, I ordered a spare battery through the Indiegogo campaign and received nothing (neither the ordered battery, nor anything else - I believe that someone mentioned a plan to delivery earphones instead of batteries due to unusability of batteries after long time spent in stock, but I received simply nothing). If I receive no battery this way (which I suspect to be the case 😕 ), I wonder if there's any chance to get a new battery from some other source once the original one becomes unusable. Does anybody know if there are other batteries on the market having the same physical (dimensions) and technical (capacity, etc.) parameters which might be used for replacement in the future? I don't know if it has any answers, but you might look at some of the discussions in this thread: It is mostly a discussion about the Pro1, but towards the end of the thread there is also discussion of the Pro1x. It may not resolve anything, but will give you an idea of what has been tried and with what degree of success.

I was just attempting to express my frustration at the situation of waiting all this time, giving the benefit of the doubt to fxtec, and still finding out that I was (likely unintentionally) lied to in order to keep me from canceling my order for a Pro1. Will try an e-mail again. I'm indiegogo contributor instead. Just for the record, I had been told earlier that website orders would be shipped "at a leater date" (than Indigogo orders), and now I asked again with their Indiegogo orders reported as done, and I just got the answer "very soon I expect". For Indiegogo backers who didn't get their device yet, I suspect only contacting support can help. But be patient, they can be really slow, and don't send "several emails"; their ticket system has been said to bump a case back to the end of the queue when a follow-up email comes in.

Might just as well be that they've run out of the earphones, now, too... Should I really get that phone *and* decide to keep it, I still have another, partly damaged Pro1X that I got earlier, so I could salvage its battery if must be. Otherwise, the thread @Hook linked to does seem promising. Edited November 10 by Rob. S.

"Very soon" is a very flexible term coming from FxTec, but good to know they have it on the backburner. Better than nothing, I guess. 2

And waiting 5+ years for that phone has had one nice side effect – it has increased my patience 😉 (Getting a Pro1 and two Pro1 X from other sources in between did help there, of course; on the other hand, I haven't had an actually usable Fxtec phone for quite some time now.)

My advice is to be polite and patient. Send one email and then wait at least a couple of weeks for a response.
