We're getting a nice slider keyboard phone for the first time in 5 years (more if you don't count blackberry), and all some people can do is complain it's too little too late... Unless you have some very special needs SD835 is pretty damn good for quite a few years to come, miles better than anything mediatek and the likes have to offer today.

A tangent, but you do know that with LOS you can get arrow keys for the software keyboard (in Portrait)-- the setting for it is in System/ buttons. Most AOSP ROMs have that feature and was a life saver all these previous years when I had no hardware keyboard. The arrows appear on the nav bar when the soft keyboard is invoked.

Your are one Year old now, I was hoping you d have grown up a little more, to a shipped order, or even a received order. I started working on Fulguris Web Browser. It's primarily targeting F(x)tec Pro1. Now available on PlayStore for free.

I ran into what may be an issue. https://froggi.es/mario It takes a minute to load. Once the game loads, the sound is messed up, has a weird crackle. And if sent to the background sounds like a fan/motor running or something. Seems to work ok in firefox tho.

Sent them the requested details today. Fingers crossed. It's unlikely I get it this week but next week is promising.

I dunno if its easy or hard to implement, and probably requires google services so you may not want it if you're writing this to not use those (havent paid attention).... but I'd love one of those microphone icons in the search field (like firefox/chrome). Even tho I love my hardware keyboard, I still often use voice-to-text (and then correct mistakes with hardware keyboard which is easier than virtual keyboard, especially thanks to arrow keys as i can never get the cursor exactly where I want it by finger!). Just published release v0.7.7. If you have home screen shortcuts to Fulguris you will need to recreate them. Hopefully it's fixing a nasty issue preventing to login to Google services. You may need to set back your user agent to default if you had changed it trying to workaround that issue.

I'm guessing that batch of qwertz had been waiting incomplete in the factory for a while. That could explain it.

This is interesting. I got my Pro1 (qwertz) yesterday and s/n is 302. So, whose old phone I have?

It was a preorder for months after I paid. I guess they changed it so their promise to fulfill the preorders until a certain date would be easier to fulfill (we all know how that went). It's alright, I bought and paid in september so technically it wasn't a preorder anymore. But I really don't see why that is more important than changing the delivery time on the website for new buyers. And looking for a change on my (pre)order that was not exactly what I was hoping for...

All looks ok no dents. Also tried clearing the phone app out no effect restarted ofc as well. This is purely when on a call mic doesn't work or speaker. But speaker works fine playing music etc. The thing is I don't think it's the phone app directly as whats app also won't make calls.

My pro 1 stopped sending SMS last week. I sent several days working with Verizon Tec support who I have say was really great. Each time we did not get it figured out they elevated me to more knowledgeable higher skilled technicians. I finally got to a women who immediately knew why the pro 1s did not send SMS. (She gave me a lot of information that I did not understand but I can give you the basic). She said Verizon pushed out a up date to their system. That up date changed the language that their network uses to send and receive messages to mobile phones. So when a pro 1 sends a SMS the

Quite impossible to tell I think. They're beginning shipping again, and before this whole mess it seemed they were close to done with shipping pre-orders. So I'd guess we're mostly waiting for them to ramp up to complete productivity again. But if that is weeks or months? No idea.

I am sorry you do not have your phone. I understand your misgivings and frustration. But I can tell you it is SO worth it. Zero problems and I have had it since January.

Actually, more issues than stock. Nothing worked and all the switches that might make it work in the phone menu were grayed out. Luckily, I did have an option to switch networks.

My unit came with damaged keys, really minor except for the V key missing the top right corner. Overall not quite as bad as having the unit get lost in transit when sending back afterwards. Does that count as permanent?

Actually, I think if we want it resolved in lineage, someone will have to send @tdm a verizon SIM (that had been activated on another device already). Hook recently tested Verizon LTE only under lineage and had issues too, so unfortunately it's not currently a solution.

Yep, there was bloating underneath the keyboard (battery maybe?) so I sent it back. I'm now waiting on a replacement device...

fedex has not been able to deliver the phone for two days, even though I am on site all the time. now they have written to me that I was not there. that's incredible. i hope it won't be sent back to Hong Kong or anywhere else now.

he will be delighted to sort and tidy up his apps to be able to keep up with the performance of the low end smartphones after delivery. He can revel in thinking how nice it would have been if he had got his smartphone back when it was still up-to-date.
