  1. EDIT: The cause of the problem has been found: Original post: monitored couple game sessions with KFMark and noticed that Pro1 has indeed some issues with gaming performance. The phone cannot keep up steady FPS during game play because CPU freqs goes up and down all the time. To me it looks like issue with kernel settings rather than throttling. Here are few gameplays compared to the Redmi Note 4 which has much weaker CPU. Both have FullHD(+) screen so results can be compared. Light game: Subway Surfers F(x)tec Pro1: average 52FPS (limit 60FPS) Redmi Note 4: av

  2. Hi, the purpose here is to "track" the amount of devices having factory hardware issues. If You've had: -problem with hardware buttons, -problem with hinge, -problem with hall sensor, -problem with fingerprint reader (not working at all, working by itself etc. - not talking here about it's accuracy), -broken USB or headphone jack (caused by normal using), -any other hardware, definitely non-software related problems Then select "Yes" (permanent or temporary, depending on the nature of Your problem). If You've had: -problems with fingerprin

  3. Alas no, we are waiting for a TWRP that can decrypt first. Until then TWRP is only really useful for SFOS users.

  4. I've also got this one (the only glass one I could find that had curved edges) and have had it on for a month and it seems fine. Nice glass feel, and it's nice that it goes over the curves so you don't feel an edge when swiping from those sides. It is important you get it lined up correctly though. If it is rotated at all, it will peel up from the corners as I understand it. I managed to avoid that, thankfully. Recommend.

  6. One thing I've found is my hand does get cramped playing retro console games for sure. Especially when I have to hold in a key pretty much the whole game, like the gas pedal on supertuxkart. I've tried to figure out the most comfortable place to hold but it doesnt seem to matter. Plus, on games with 4 way controls, it isn't comfortable. I typically use QW3A as my left/right/up/down and it just isn't right. For side scroller games with occasional up/down its okay, but when I regularly have to up-down like 3-d mario it's annoying. I really want gamegripper @Hyrum

  7. weird. I had to try it in chrome to confirm, and it won't even start in chrome for me. Just sits there doing nothing. sanity checked, firefox and fulguris still load it. edit - I was just impatient, took forever, finally loaded in chrome, and yeah sound bad here too. weird. I don't particularly care about this web game, just reported it cuz I thought it might actually be a real issue that affects more than this game when I tried it after somebody shared a link. If I wanted to play SMB64 for real on Pro¹ I'd use emulator like retroarch or mupen and play offline anyway, not a

  8. Had this one since last October. Can't recommend at all. Despite it being smaller than the display, the edges still lift up from the starting curve. I tried to blow on it with a hair dryer to maybe soften it up a bit but I also didn't want to risk killing the Pro1. So if gravity doesn't do a miracle over the next night, I'll try the included soft protector. And after that my Pro1 will go naked.

  10. I'm guessing that batch of qwertz had been waiting incomplete in the factory for a while. That could explain it.

  12. We're getting a nice slider keyboard phone for the first time in 5 years (more if you don't count blackberry), and all some people can do is complain it's too little too late... Unless you have some very special needs SD835 is pretty damn good for quite a few years to come, miles better than anything mediatek and the likes have to offer today.

  13. It is definitely persistent so I've contacted support, they will be sending out a replacement screen with instructions on how to replace it. I had the option of sending it the phone off to a centre in London but decided I'd give it a go myself instead (I like a little tinkering). Will update this post when it's replaced to advise on the outcome.

  15. Play in the hinge and a stuck pixel in my display. Riding out this NCOV shit before sending it back.

  16. My unit came with damaged keys, really minor except for the V key missing the top right corner. Overall not quite as bad as having the unit get lost in transit when sending back afterwards. Does that count as permanent?

  17. Yep, there was bloating underneath the keyboard (battery maybe?) so I sent it back. I'm now waiting on a replacement device...

  18. Sound very plausible, let us hope some with deeper knowledge on Android reads this and can come up with a hint. Otherwise it seems almost certain that a factory restore would fix it, but that is of course rather tedious.
