Thanks, I ordered Querty because Quertz is out of stock 🙂 So I will ask the support. If I find the answer helpful I will add the information to this topic. Thank you!4 points

Here is the debug kernel: http://files.nwwn.com/android/pro1/boot-keylog.img The file /sys/devices/soc/c17a000.i2c/i2c-6/6-0058/keylog records the last 256 key press/release events, one per line. The line format is: xxxxxxxx dK Where: xxxxxxxx is the time stamp in jiffies (1/100 sec), in hex. d is the direction, > for press, < for release. K is the key (without modifiers). It will only log the normal keys, not the gpio keys (shift, ctrl, alt, logo). You will need root access to read the file. I suggest an adb root session.4 points

I did once at the beginning of the pandemic. The sim i normally use has very little data but that's fine. I had a broadband outage tho and so bought a prepaid sim at walmart with 14GB or something. Anyways places like WalMart have a whole section of prepaid SIMs. The walmartfamilyplan or whatever ones are t-mobile, but they have a few other carriers there too.3 points

Just a thought, as I assume from the bank used that you are from Germany. The qwertZ model is "out of stock", so if you ordered that, they just MIGHT have put your order on hold. But just a guess. And as @netman said, you should ask support what is going on.3 points

Yeah, the green tint issue is partially fixed. I mean it is still there but not on the lowest brightness. So, if you slide the brightness slider you start to see green tint between 50%-10% but below 10% green tint is gone. So no more green tint when I use Pro1 just before bedtime in dark room. Also, my eyes are not burned! 👍3 points

I just received the update yesterday. I'll continue to monitor it and see if it helps.2 points

Since nobody is replying yet I will, but I held off because I don't recall what the order statuses mean because it's been too long, all I remember is that they are confusing xD. I think in any case though the best thing to do would be e-mail support or contact them here since they can see whether your payment arrived or not and tell you exactly what's going on.2 points

Hmm mine started to show these ghost input symptoms this week... Just like that. Didn't drop it, didn't drown it... It's pretty horrible. The ghost taps and swipes occur over 1 specific line in the screen, it seems. It renders the phone useless, basically. https://photos.app.goo.gl/sbs7gXwpfm9waTJQ7 Sent an email to F(x)tec just now. I really hope it can be solved. The Pro 1 is the best phone I have had in years... Thx @Slion for your tool; it allows me to make the phone ignore touch input and use the keyboard to control it 🙂2 points

You need to clear the fingerprint HAL data in /persist. But since you are on stock you don't have root access. So you need to flash the persist partition from fastboot. Find the thread from Liancheng about how to go back to stock. Get the files. Reboot to bootloader and run fastboot flash persist persist.img. you will reset your WiFi Mac addr but that should fix the issue.2 points

well with some smartwatches you can get them with LTE connectivity built-in meaning you can leave your phone at home and use the watch itself as a phone. I think you can even share the same phone number between them. It's good if you need to make and receive quick calls and texts.2 points

Woah hey fellow Masshole 😆 Just kiddin. But, which carrier are you on? T-Mobile way up in the Essex county is really slow and spotty (at least for me). Previously I never had an issue. But I second the idea of getting a prepaid phone. Or perhaps if you can, look into a smartwatch with LTE support?2 points

Pay-as-you-go, which I have always done (never had a contract) in the US is now a reasonable option finally well supported by even the big telecoms. The downside of the wide support for it is that it is harder to find plans that allow you anymore to just pay money and take as long as you want for what you paid for. Most require a monthly reup, although you can let the account go dormant and revive it when you need it-- you will just lose any rollover the account might have. Investigate the smaller companies (called MNVOs)m such as Ting and many others, as they will offer the best prices. H2 points

Sounds reasonable, I've never looked into it, as I've never heard of anyone using prepaid phones for legal activity. 😆2 points

Switched to to 2.4GHz and you are right, I am having about 0.6%, less than on 5GHz. But difference is not that much and I am not sure that it's a bug (in my case). Do you have access to any other 5GHz network? May be this problem is related to some Huawei specific issue? I don't have any Huawei wifi hardware around at the moment but give me some time..1 point

This kind of ghosts inputs are "normal" if the charger is too noisy. I mean I have experienced similar behaviour using other phones and bad quality charger, so it is not uncommon. Also I don't think it is related. Maybe if we could reduce sensitivity of our touch panel by software, it may help to eliminate this problem anyway. I also don't necessarily have to touch the display itself for a normal touch input, so a minor dust which could go at the edges of the screen may also can be the cause of this ghost effect. It may worth a try not to replace the whole display but clean1 point

Well, I'd like the GPS feature as a backup (just got my friend out of nasty fog when his unit went on the fritz; that was the drowning mentioned above), and I suspect calls on a watch wouldn't go well in wind, waves, and possibly motor noise. Worth a thought though.1 point

Since January. Great device, have been using it happily since. Until last week...1 point

Sorry, no, not connected. I get the ghost inputs regardless of whether the phone is connected or not. As I type this (on my PC), the phone is on the desk unfolded, screen on, and the ghost touches are frequently visible without me touching and no cables connected.1 point

We can not see the bottom of the phone, is it connected? Mine reacts poorly to touch when connected to a third party charger (Does not see the pheneomeny when connected to a PC though, and do not use the original charger) Just to narrow it down. I do not see it as bad as on your unit though, here touches are misinterpreted, not spontaneously generated as on yours. But I still suspect sensitivity to static charge could be the mechanism causing both.1 point

For info (as the above on fingerprint is a bit scary for potential customers): I did not have to re-enter my fingerprint after this update. It still works. I guess the reason is that I only recently set up the fingerprint (in the previous stock version) and I did not experience the early bugs of the first stocks (February-June).1 point

The US is a pretty foreign world to me, so hopefully someone more informed can comment 😅 . The prepaid style of billing I'm familiar with is where you just pay certain amount to get "credit" and then that gets eaten only if you call/text - usually expiring after 12 or 24 months of not using it. In some places it is different of course, in Malaysia for example it seems most carriers have the credit expire depending on how much was purchased. The prepaid plans are usually not advertised much lately, probably more profitable for the companies to take a fixed sum every month. I vaguely recal1 point

Indeed it looks like the greenish tint it was taking in very low brightness using Fx Service is mostly gone.1 point

Hello Fxtec community, my order was placed on 27. August 2020 and paid the same day. The order status is currently "on hold" which if I guess correct means that the payment was not yet successful. I chose direct bank transfer as method and transferred the money from a bank of Germany. Is the duration normal or did I make a mistake so the payment cannot be assigned to the order? I hope someone had similar thoughts and can help me :) Thanks for taking your time! Greetings Julien Steininger0 points

I have also experienced this kind of ghost inputs a few weeks ago. I don't know what happened, but the screen looks to be intact. However, I have found a minor insure on display frame which I don't know if it is related, but I think so. I can barely see it anyway and there are no any more issues on the frame and my phone is in a protective case (on back), also having protection foil applied on the back and on the screen. However, I can feel it with my nails a bit. So I don't know the reason but I assume the screen has been damaged for me but in a part which can not be seen a0 points

Got the update, but it seems like my battery life took a nosedive. The drain on idle is almost equivalent to me playing a game yesterday. https://imgur.com/a/9pWlBDD0 points

I'm on Verizon, which seems to have good coverage everywhere but my house, my girlfriend's apartment, and my workplace.🤬 If you mean run the smartwatch from the Pro1, then no. I had a display on a Samsung S4 crushed in my pocket from getting bounced around in a small boat, and then after I fixed it, drowned in my PFD when it got splashy. For all the great things about a Pro1, they are utterly defenseless from pretty much everything, so I won't take it anywhere near water.0 points

After updating firmware to 20200825 fingerprints are lost after first reboot, as on previous firmware versions. Has anyone this fix works?0 points
