Lineage recovery will offer to install from sdcard if, and only if, a physical sdcard is present and it is able to be read without any decryption (eg. it is not used as adoptable storage). Lineage recovery will not offer to install from /data (including "internal storage" because the data partition is encrypted and Lineage recovery does not have any decryption capability. And yes, file-based encryption counts, because all files in /data/media are encrypted under FBE. This is not a bug. This is how recovery is supposed to work. TWRP bends the rules with data decryptio6 points

The majority of the orders are complete. It's only natural for people to discuss a problem in the community, not the lack of. We barely ever hear from the customers who have received their devices in contrast to those who haven't. It's the cycle of purchasing a Pro1 - order > join the community to see if you're the only one waiting > receive the device a few months later > exit community. Of course, we are lucky to have very supportive Pro1 advocates who discuss the positive experiences with their Pro1, but a complain is typically a lot more of a reason to speak than a posit6 points

The majority (2/3) of Pro1 pre-orders were placed in the first few months of us accepting pre-orders. Those were the small percentage of people who are happy to pre-order a product and wait for it. The biggest rush was in the first few days, as that's when everyone was rushing to be amongst the first. Most people who want a Pro1 haven't placed an order because it doesn't ship tomorrow like most people are used to. That is a segment we haven't explored yet as we haven't really launched with readily available stock. In contrast to how much we have shipped, the remaining orders are very few.4 points

I got a tracking number and they apparently just replaced it. Looking forward to that delivery.2 points

Could you email your order ID to info@fxtec.com? I don't see one linking to this community account. So would you say those 12 months now count as an outlier? And I'd like to join the request – September 19, 2019, QWERTZ. If nothing else, this definitely has been a good training in patience! Maybe I've even become a bit more even-tempered overall along the way 😉 Most of us who are employees, "sellers" of their labour to the "customers" aka bosses, will know that principle quite well, if they think about it... 😉2 points

Quite a number of users usually make a comment or pose a question when they have received their device. So I think the questions on the status of the announced "Early September batch" is quite reasonable to pose on September the 23.2 points

Sorry guys, I'm a bit busy with work lately, plus just had a couple kids birthdays. But I'll get the kernel with stock keyboard driver as soon as I can.2 points

My nails are chewed halfway to the quick, and have been for almost five decades. No dice.1 point

I don't think it can from internal, but if an sdcard is installed a second option is presented1 point

Good point, it takes some getting used to to avoid touching the screen edge while using the keyboard's number row. My solution is to make sure my nails are long enough 🤣1 point

Ordered and paid 20th of November 2019, QWERTZ, to Germany. Still waiting. Are you sure the majority of orders has been completed? Should I be sending a mail to info@fxtec.com?1 point

I received a screen last Monday. this was two weeks later than expected. I would assume my screen was sent from the same new batch. So surely some people should have received their phone by now, right!?! 🙃1 point

I just sent mine in on Monday. Should be delivered on Friday. So not looking forward to beg for my phone back 🤔. And all that for a working USB-C video out.1 point

I am also using "Textra" as messaging app and this function works in it unlike the stock application.1 point

Take your time and enjoy life. I'm guessing it will be months before I have my phone back 😪😇1 point

On the silence sms app,, when i click on the info button for a particular message, it shows me time sent, time received, and type of message.1 point

This is a more general Android thing, than a specific Pro1 question. The delivery receipt is something the sending phone can request, but we have no guarantee that the recipient-system will actually send a receipt back. I've been using "Textra" for years, that also exposes this, and on most SMS I get it. But on MMS it seems less stable. And if people are roaming on another net than their home net (e.g. during holidays) don't expect the receipt to be transported. For the messages you already sent, you can only get the confirmation if it was requested at send.1 point

I got trough the support instructions, i'm not new to the ADB, root, flashing and custom things but those instruction wasn't an easy one BUT! it all ended with a complete working touch screen without replacing it again so i'm pretty happy with all this thanks1 point

I used the chat on the Verizon website and said "Hey, I have a new phone I'm trying to use and having difficulty sending/receiving SMS/MMS. I spoke with a Sr. Verizon Tech online and they told me to ask you to enable "CDMA-LESS" on my account." They quickly agreed and within 30 seconds I had SMS rolling in that wasn't received before. Hopefully that clears it up a bit. I know it sounds rather nebulous but that's the approach I took. Happy to answer any more questions if you have them.1 point

It's a minor nuisance. The number row of the physical keyboard is very tight to the screen, really the one substantial criticism I have of it. With the keyboard closed, keeping your fingers away from the screen require a precarious basketball-palming grip on the frictionless device, which can be harrowing. I despise curved screens anyway, but so far, have managed to live with it without feeling the need to download a solution.1 point

Here are the files again: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vydlyn2obudlv5x/AAAEa3yOoUxzSIg5INjXqv5ma?dl=0 As I don't like to use cases myself I lost interest:P But happy if it helps someone make a good case 🙂1 point

@ErikI just sent an e-mail to support hoping to get a status update on that repair or replacement. You've had that device for about 10 weeks already. Here is a short reminder of my story: Got a Pro1 in January. Touch screen started acting up 6 months later reading ghost inputs. Bought another Pro1 from a gentleman who did not use it and it turned out the keyboard had an electrical fault. Swapped the screen assembly between my two broken Pro1s to have at least one working phone which is still working to this day thankfully. Sent you the resulting Pro1 with broken t0 points
