  1. I finally decided to buy the tech bundle... I could not reasonably get a second pro1, but want to modestly support fxtec. It would be too bad if they sink now. My pro1 is still in perfect shape, but knowing me, having some spare part is a reasonable anticipation ˆˆ. It is true it would be even better if the bundle includes some keyboard parts. I know it is quite robust, but these tactile buttons have a life time. I remember my old blackberry Q10 has the "M" button starting failing after 3 years... Anyway, I let you know how it will going with th bundle.

  2. This is intended as a central entry point with links to known ROMs for the PRO1/PRO1X. You will need android adb / fastboot tools that officially can be found here (Windows / Linux / mAc) Important step BEFORE changing from Android initially!! If you want to ever be able to change the phone back to the state it had when you received it with stock Android, there is an important step that is needed before flashing any non android-based ROM, That is to backup the persist partition. If the device is unlocked and a recovery boot is present a fairly simple partition backup method (fo

  3. I have tried everything to get my SMS messaging problem fixed. Nothing worked until I did what PlutoStark suggested and used the Verizon messaging system on verizonwireless.com to request they enable the "CDMA-LESS" option on my phone number. They made the change, and the problem was immediately fixed. It may be that this was a cumulative issue, and all the other steps like choosing "LTE Only" and enabling the VoLTE & other options were a part of the solution, but enabling the "CDMA-Less" option was either the solution, or the last step to the solution. Either way, I am sending and r

  4. AICP is not Lineage based. It does incorporate a lot of the QCOM hardware support and a few other things. But it specifically does not use the Lineage SDK. And I think the telephony stack is more similar to AOSP than Lineage. So it is quite possible that VoLTE/IMS is working on AICP. Though I haven't tested it myself, as my carrier still won't work with this device. 😕

  5. So let me do the math. Mine were received by FxTec on the 24th of September and the 11th of November. So I would have to add five months 🙈🙉🙊. Hopefully my phone will be back in March. The second one in April? So I can sell that one as new, one year old (replaced by now with a different phone). I wonder, is my warranty extended for the 9 months it was in for repairs 🤔?

  7. I've done a first build of AICP Q using the Lineage 17.1 sources as a base. After it is tested for a while, I will probably try to get official support. The boot image is used just as in the Lineage test builds. Flash it with fastboot, boot into recovery, and then flash the main zip. If you want gapps, I tested OpenGapps pico for Android 10.0. Don't forget to switch slots before flashing gapps. Please report any issues and I will try to sort them out. Boot image for initial flash: http://files.nwwn.com/android/pro1/aicp_pro1-q-boot.img

  11. Yes, warranty case. Took 5 months. They had warned me beforehand that it might take longer because of the lockdown, but I didn't expect it to be that long.

  12. I assume that further repairs will happen faster as long as there is not another full lockdown in Great Britain. I just asked for a warranty extension. Let's see what the answer will be. (Even though I think I wouldn't be allowed to share it here.)

  13. Jacob_S DieBruine, Thanks for sharing. Did I understand correctly: these are warranty cases? 6 months for repair? Can you please clarify?

  14. Would really be nice if they told us when they cannot stick up to the 12 weeks they promised on their homepage

  15. @Ivan Raiskiy I am in the same boat as you ... ordered Jan 22nd ... was hoping I would get notice in the next batch ( end of Oct ) ... but they have focus'd on new product release instead!

  17. My phone has run into this issue as of today as well. The sensor is hot enough to burn you and it gets that way as soon as the phone is powered on. I'm probably just going to disconnect the sensor since it appears to just be attached to the main board with a removable connector looking at tear-down photos. I am a little shocked to see how common of an issue this is with fingerprint sensors in general.

  18. Mine was recieved by them mid June and back in the middle of August, when I asked for an update, they also talked about 1-2 weeks. Then 6 weeks later, when I asked again, they said it is queued for service. I sent another mail a week ago, to which I have no answer so far.

  19. Thanks Erik. Appreciate being told something at least. Bulging under the keyboard. Potentially the battery, but I didn't take it apart and fxtec haven't told me anything. They've had my device for about four months, so that should give a decent estimate for how long these things take.
