  1. I took the Pro1x with me and tried getting it to work during the flight. I'm not quite sure what happened or why. But after about 10 hours into the flight I got it up and running. I've been using it heavy as a portable travel pc instead of my bulky GPD WIn4. I ordered a router from Japan Wireless so I'm connected to the internet. My only issue so far is that the camera won't work from within Signal. During my stay here I have missed 2 telephone calls. I'm assuming this was because of the connectivity issue with this phone. But it could also be because all the noise and just how busy Japan is

  2. I believe you have to flash Magisk as a zip in recovery the first time and then set it up in Magisk Manager in order for root to survive OTAs. If that's what you did, then I don't know.

  3. Two actually, and I also have a couple of replacement screens in my stash. Also got a couple of custom made leather smart cases too. Not sure when or if I'll be willing to part with them. As a developer being able use them for testing apps is convenient. Testing Lineage OS is also a plus. Though to be fair it looks like they are both bound to spend a lot of time in a drawer.

  4. Unfortunately many are still waiting, some that bought years before you...

  5. I have this problem sometimes but I think it's caused by ACC. It appears like there's some bugs in the custom android kernel which doesn't like when some of the settings inside /sys are used. I'm still probing because this only happens to me many hours after I start charging. However, if you have root permissions, this script works well for me: echo 1 > /sys/class/power_supply/battery/input_current_limited echo 0 > /sys/class/power_supply/battery/input_suspend echo 2 > /sys/class/power_supply/battery/charge_control_limit I appear to only need it if I have the phone connect

  7. In my case, I never parted from my dumb phone, however, I use my Pro¹-X every day. It's my ultra-portable laptop in which I do all sorts of stuff. I believe I open that keyboard a few dozens of times per day on weekdays and a few on weekends. Given claude001's answer, I think I'm lucky that the keyboard still works perfectly. When I reach 1 year, I will certainly write my 1 year review of my experience with my Pro¹-X. My dumb phone is mostly used for calls and SMS. Pro¹-X's call sound quality is fine but for me, my dumb phone is more reliable to not run out of battery when I most wan

  9. I would open the box and double check. They are using the old Pro1 boxes and, yes, mine had the right label sticker identifying it as a blue 8/256. But I wouldn't be sure that couldn't get mixed up. Opening the box won't affect being able to return it, and maybe when it turns out to really be a black 6/128 it will be doubly disappointing, but with the shipping chaos, I would want to check. Wrong phone or wrong box?

  10. So does this mean that you have a Pro1 you are not using and might be willing to part with @Slion

  11. Errrr, yeah. Completely glossed over the "on" in there. Sorry.

  12. Agree with you, I haven't received the pro1x yet but I'm afraid about reported connectivity problems, especially if it means hardware or firmware problem. I'm not very interested in a keyboarded brick, wich means I will have to dismantle it completely to see what happens. Without guarantee but for the sake.

  13. Right, and we really need the "stable version" of stock OS which has all basic functions working. Maybe we don't really need google certification (correct me if I am wrong) which is one of the most expensive part of the process but we need improved kernel modules / firmwares to make Pro1X a usable phone. Basically, Pro1 works really well using LineageOS and I would be happy to have a similar state of Pro1X - I don't need stock Android but without updated modules / firmware, this phone will not have 100% functionality and only F(x)tec has chance to improve these parts.

  14. Maybe we can ask the dedicated support team? 😂

  15. Hello all, after 3 years I have received my phone, ordered January 2020. I received an email saying that my order was completed, before that, I filed to be reimbursed. No tracking number were provided, just an email saying my order was completed. I received the email about 2-3 weeks ago, I’m also located in New Jersey.

  16. Looks like I keep losing Magisk/root every time I update Lineage using their automated updater, but once I figure out how to do it smoothly I'll try it thanks.

  17. I opened the box and as it says on the back and on the shipping slip it's a black 6/128. So it's not the updated one I ordered and paid extra for.

  18. That really doesn't give me any warm fuzzies. Still waiting in my case, I guess I'll wait longer and be less surprised should the wrong one show up.

  19. I received a phone today, a phone, not the phone I ordered and paid extra for to upgrade it. I received a black qwerty 6gb ram 128gb rom, while I ordered and paid extra for a Sapphire blue 8gb Ram 256gb Rom. I haven't opened it, send an email to fxtec and await their response. After 3 years I finally got the wrong phone....
