  1. But it is rather confusing the whole thing for sure. The order numbers reflects the time the order was put, And this affected when emails requesting payment were sent. And the reception of payment gives the queue position. (So the order numbers are not unimportant, as equally fast payers will end in that order) And then the IGG coupons add further to the confusion given priority among those paid.
  2. Erhmm the order number is related to when the order is put, not when it is paid....
  3. Yeah it is really complex, to cover the different variants, Especially with the US, Already complex without taking into account the IGG coupon (or the one that somehow went up on ebay from the US).
  4. Yeah, A rather bold ad to post - let us hope it is not Hybris... 🤭
  5. So now you by "whatever else" include anything unknown - I see.... In this long thread of conspiracy theories we already have had posts on the numbering, try reread the whole thread... I got (forcibly cancelled) orders separated by 2 and by 3, so it seems pretty likely to me that every number was reserved/allocated, But how many have ended up in actual orders is another story, and part of the guessing game in here.
  6. There are several out there, and of different types. See the thread on screen protectors(!) and have a look at ebay and/or aliexpress. I'm currently using these ones
  7. You did see the "e.g.", right? I have NO idea of all scenarios what would make the system skip a number, just gave an EXAMPLE on what most likely would, but that is not the same as this being the only thing... 🙄
  8. I have used the method on other devices, so would almost certainly work here as well.
  9. Most likely allocated sequentially, but not all actually used. e.g. if some put it on the shopping cart, to see if there were some extra fees, and then cancelled.
  10. There is a nice app, that now supports the Pro1 keyboard. FinQwerty improving the functionality. I have used test-versions of it for months for both QWERTY and QWERTZ, and it works just great! See the current layouts here http://android.onse.fi/finqwerty/#pro1, here a few examples It is (currently) especially great for those that wants to use the physical QWERTZ for standard US or for Scandinavian languages on either QWERTZ or QWERTY UPDATE: The authour @Anssi Hannula has added more layouts, including Czech, US-International, and improved version of
  11. I have not tried on this, but on other devices spraying some de-mineralised water on the screen before applying can solve the bubble problem, as it is easier to squeeze out the water than air (as air compresses when you try to push a bubble away). With a device like this, water should be used with the screen facing downwards. (That is why I was lazy and did not do it)
  12. If I remember right, the turning off was something added - and there were a backside of turning it off too - frankly forgot what it was though. But was enough so that I kept it On, despite all the nuisance.
  13. Well it depends on the materials. The current ones are not good enough, but if it can be a more elastic base, it might be durable
  14. I'm almost certain that they stated that they are send by air. Ships are way too slow. I guess they might change to ships when they got enough stock in their warehouses, to save some money.
  15. Yup they stated that somewhere in the spring. They had considered both types, but in reality they found out they did not have a choice.
  16. Believe it or not, actually I have come across people that prefers these horrible touchpads over real mice. For those it could be interesting. And for use at some random remote location borrowing a display to show something, it would simplify to not have to consider a real mouse also.
  17. Thanks for the clarification. It would have been more clever if it was the same partition BUT with two directory-trees! So the running version just saw some space gobbled in a RO directory while new files were added. In the other tree existing files conflicting were logically moved into a reserved RO space when new versions were added. This way you would only be 'wasting' space for the files that differs and done cleverly you might even share the part of the directory that relates to non-system files. ... You could even allow for keeping more than two versions, with minimal waste... Of co
  18. ...and this especially includes portability. We could be on the edge of a new revolution in usage with foldable and rollable screens within the next five or so years.
  19. Rather than the "GPD pocket" I would consider something like this type. Add: Exists in more than one variant, see e.g. this review.
  20. I feel very much the same way. And rather than seeing them as competitors as such, I see it as variety, and that is the most important thing. Different people, different use cases, different needs&wishes. And thus different devices best suiting those. And frankly I see more potential Cosmo users that could use a Pro1 instead, than the other way round. Had they had a double hinge for bending over and no secondary screen, then they would have targeted an audience that want/like a hard shell protected device and a landscape keyboard device (plus a slab) in one. I could have bee
  21. People using a purse might also find it easier to fit in than even the smallest laptop.
  22. Do you got any other pictures? I'm a bit surprised if this is all bleeding, especially at the end (green arrow) it looks more like reflections, being quite far from the display area. But at the sides (red arrow) it could be. Have tried to look for similar on mine, but found none. The screen protector I added (not unexpectedly) acts somewhat like a mate disc, and thus can 'light up' at the the edges, but that is the screen protector and not the screen. Here a few of how the screen-protector looks (bubbles and all)
  23. I simply don't get why they did not give it a double hinge, so it could 'bend over' Yoga-style, as more serious laptops do now. They could then ditch the secondary screen, and save size and weight. Had they done that, I most likely would have been interested.
  24. Or could be that something on the assembly has to be done extremely careful not to trigger it - I have no idea. But that could mean that they could not pre-test the displays. On the Elephone U Pro replacement screens some reports green lines, again we do not know it this is due to assembly. A wild guess could be an extremely sensitive cable.
  25. Nice, thanks. As a compare the Pro1 (AFAIK) only got on/off for backlight. Not even a setting relating it to the ambient light. I have not yet found a situation where I found it too bright, nor one where it was too little.
