The combined thing feels stiff, but I have no idea if it is a thick protector with a paper thin adhesive protection, or a thin film on a piece of 'cardboard'. So Better ask one of those that has applied it.

Nope, never let it drain so deep that it turned itself off. But purely academicaly, there is an 'issue' if you only have a very poor power source (much less than a pc USB port) offering less power than the Pro1 uses booting. But It should be fixable by using the supplied QC3 adapter that has 18W output, and there is not a chance in H.. that it will use that much during boot - so a VERY academic 'issue'.

Well frankly I just applied the one I knew worked immediately, before doing any examination of the one provided. Applied it before even touching the screen...

Could well be, especially on qwertZ, where caps lock is represented by an up side down shift arrow (like the ancient Shift lock on typewriters) .

... Found another app, where the sensors can be tried one by one, There are 50, it is the one called "Motion Accel" Shortly after displaying, it restarts the device. (I have tried a few times, but not enough time for a screen shot) ADD: Note that there are more than one app called "Device info" (Also "MultiShake" at the bottom of the list do the same, if you do not exit within about one second) ADD: This bug was originally seen with CPU-Z, a lot on this have been moved over here

A tiny BUG: The battery is reported as 1000mAh to any app asking.

Well with some extra thickness to get a better protection, we are talking a case/shell, not just a film. I don't think that we can get more than scratch-protection from a film.

Hmm, that it restarts the device, sounds like something deep getting in a very bad state. So my GUESS is some buggy code in a hardware driver.

It is a setting somewhere. Double tap to wake works fine on my retail unit...

Oh, then I must have some setting that turned that off, that follows when I restore. No Idea where I've changed that.... Will try to see if I an find it.

I also would like closing the slider to turning off the screen (like power button). But please as an option, as not all might like that. Then we can select the lock-delay under Security, The cogwheel next to Screen Lock, Automatic lock, e.g. 5 sec, that should be more than enough to press the power button, double tap or reopen, before the password protection kicks in.

There is a "tap to wake" setting, under Display, that is Off by default. It works fine if you turn it on here.... 😉 How you set it to wake the camera I do not know.

See earlier posts... pointing to this The Huawei/Honor ones does not fit properly. I assume due to different corner curvature. They simply pop off. I haven't tried the Lenovo S5 one.

If you ever tried an Iphone 6- or the like, then you will know how slippery a phone can be. 😈 But sure a little extra grip is always welcome in my book. I do not recall having said anything on it, though I might. If I recall right, the preproduction unit I got in the spring was said to be improved over the very early prototypes, but not sure.. I haven't had a single incident of it slipping my hands due to a poor grip. And now I added varies Note-7 cases on them, the grip is further improved.

Well I would not say that I recommended it, That was the cheap one I tried as a proof of concept... I guess about any shell or case for the Note 7 would do just as fine. And the modifications needed really are minor not "heavily" 1) Open up near the Fingerprint 2) Extend existing holes for the 3.5,mm and USB plugs 3) Make a cut in the back for the camera/blitz (and secondary microphone) 4) For the flipcase I cut away the credit card part, to reduce the thickness. To be more precise it is a film that can curve, it it is not shaped curved like some plastic protectors are. This one is flat when you unpack it. I did not apply it, but from what I can see it will cover the full display.
