  1. I still would like to see a rotate-in-place method. I realize that works well for icons and symmetrical widgets, but not for widgets that aren't circle/square, but there's compromises with every option and that doesn't affect me as I don't use any such widgets anyway 😉 For the two-halves approach, i can imagine a kinda compromise of what I said above, perhaps in landscape, allow one center widget (thus on both halves). When rotated back to portrait, that widget gets rotated in place so it's still centered.
  2. Seems like there's quite a variety of things some apps may check, I dont understand all of them, but things I've heard of include: cts google play protect su (root) bootloader lock safetynet widevine secureboot
  3. I can also also confirm it worked for me fine on stock (and don't recall if I had to set it again when I switched to lineage or not). Perhaps you could describe exactly what's going wrong....
  4. If it's not outlined, its the same procedure as installing gapps. Reboot to recovery (I do so from restart menu, theres a setting to enable the advanced restart menu), select apply update, and adb sideload either lineagesu or magisk. If you're starting with installing lineage, after sideloading lineage in recovery, you select advanced reboot to recovery, then sideload su and/or gapps.

Deebie, if you broke it yourself, then inexpensive method is buy replacement screen from aliexpress (less than 60USD) and then either replace it yourself (there are instructions available) or just take phone and sceen to any mobile phone fixit shop to do it for you (although I'd still bring them the instructions...)
  6. I use opengapps-mini no problem... I also like choose what you want, and that its updated (no hour of updates like mindthegapps), and that it can replace AOSP apps.
  7. Thats a trebuchet (lineage default launcher) issue, and yeah I remember mentioning that myself before switching to Nova launcher.
  8. And facial recognition tablet thermometers of course. But I think only 3 people have got their headphones so far, the rest of us still waiting, but yeah people waiting on actual phones is far more important.
  9. I've had mine more than 6 months and initially had problems with backspace/del too but as you suggested, you get used to it, I forgot about it until you mentioned it now, but remember it did bug me at first. Wake on keypress and kbd backlight on keypress and sticky shift all work in LineageOS..... but yeah still waiting for those fixes on stock... hopefully soon.... The kbd backlight is weak, but for me it's enough to see the keys even in pitch dark, but hardly noticeable its on in dim light but still can see keys. But I imagine your behavior is the same as everyone's, so it is wha
  10. Does that mean official has a new recovery that allows loading updates from device? That would indeed be nice, no more need for usb cables... I'm still using test18 which, like previous test versions, required adb sideload.
  11. Well I'd be curious if its a quirk with your router, or a problem with phone. So I'd go test some public wifi, wherever you go, work friends/family library fastfood walmart etc. And if those work, get a new wifi router, some are super cheap. But I assume other things work with it so weird, more likely your phone is broken.
  12. Why not? (Kept reading; you ordered 3). Yeah I'd be worried. They probably sent 3 to someone who ordered 1 and 1 to you. I'm reminded of the married couple who ordered two and only got one, and the corresponding guy in same country who ordered one and got 2.
  13. If you want FinQWERTY layouts for Lineage, you could probably ask the author, in the past he was quite responsive when developing layouts for stock.
  14. The version you linked is the one that doesnt work for Android (stock or lineage) due to encryption. It can be used with Sailfish which is not encrypted. Use Lineage Recovery to install Lineage.
  15. I would be surprised if he heard something this month. Seems like they're almost caught up.... but next month more likely...
  16. Unless tdm or someone secretly released it, we can't flash LOS with TWRP. Even the µG version I would assume. Use lineage recovery to flash LOSµG.
  17. It is already win/super/meta. But yeah Android steals it for assistant before it gets thru to VNC. I ended up just using ctrl-esc when I was testing win95 under dosbox.
  18. Yeah, Lineage fixed this by assigning the yellow F key to 'Meta' (aka Super, Windows-key). There are the built in Android Shortcuts and Bookmarks. Regarding the SYM key, that should be Right-Alt (also fixed on lineage) which brings up a symbols menu when used by itself (like the emoji menu on left alt). from my reddit post oabout lineage: https://www.reddit.com/r/fxtec/comments/fjoj79/lineage_16_on_pro¹_keyboard_shortcuts_features/The yellow F F(x)tec logo key (assigned as Meta) in combination with various keys is used for Bookmarks. The first time you use a bookmark, you'll be prompt
  19. Yes using the wrong apps! I can only think of two apps I use regularly that force portait. One of this is a solitaire card game and I play it one handed touchscreen so no need for keyboard, and the other is google hangouts and it is indeed very annoying when it forces portrait in some screns... to the point I installed 3rd party app to keep it from rotating back portrait on me. Every other app that I want to use keyboard for is fine landscape... obviously browser and email apps, plus chat programs like discord/riot/telegram... games like supertrux, supertuxkart, rvgl, sonic cd, retroarch em
  20. For a thumb keyboard, actually smaller is better. Less travel, less thumb stretching, etc. As long as its not so small as to cause you to press two keys at once or be uncomfortable, and as long as you have some bezel right and left so far right and left keys arent so close to the edge to make it uncomfortable. I think Pro¹ could be improved if every key a little narrower and thus screen and device a little smaller. I think Photon Q keyboard a good physical size, but add a few more keys like Pro¹ so would still end up wider with same sized keys.
  21. Agree. QWERTY is faster available. Just not quite "in-stock". And recent developments have led me to believe they are no longer taking orders for qwertz at all anyway, so does seem to be significant difference.
  22. That's who they used when they shipped mine last year. So that's normal for most destinations (Russia not included I think). My guess is they truck them from factory in sz to expansys in hk and fedex picks them up from expansys.
  23. We're all still waiting for those. I think three people total have received their earphones.
  24. Hmmm interesting development to happen right before what I imagine to be general availability. Maybe they finished all the QWERTZ backorders in the last batch and don't have any left and decided to discontinue before even release?
