nah - I would, but I somehow get a feeling that would end up in a video of you, drinking a Pina Collada and typing "YOLOLOO" on a Fxtec device...

this is indeed a possible scenario

How many blenders could a blender blend if a blender could blend blenders?

Also inb4 someone asks if the boxes contain the phones or if we just get the boxes now and the phones will be send later.

Dear Bastian,

Thanks for your message.

I can see that we have successfully charged your debit/credit card. It's a Mastercard ending with 5926. Your order is fully paid, and we expect to ship it with the 2nd batch in mid-November.

Feel free to let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

Kind regards,
F(x)tec Support

A new week begins. And we're officially past the middle of November now. Will the second batch be shipping from China this week, I wonder? @Erik is that still on track?

Yep, still waiting.

The sup...well, a little birdy told me that the second batch will be send by the end of November. I am not sure what kind of shipment was mentioned (factory - HK warehouse or UK/US warehouse to customers). Psychologist know that past behavior is a useful marker for future behavior. Since communication and shipment of the first batch were handled rather "flexible", I guess this will apply to the second batch as well.

They have obviously done a good effort to improve communications within what is possible for them at this time, and the second run will be smoother by learning from the first one. I'm pretty optimistic it'll come pretty soon.

I have:

PM'd @Waxberry via the forum;

referenced him in a comment;

tweeted him directly, with a link to a forum comment -

> asking for a % percentage of pre-orders incl. in the second batch .... Nothing to report 🙁 I guess the factory may not have reported this yet?

It is somewhat a bad idea to directly contact Waxberry. You should write a Mail to the support-team.
I know some people here know him and he often replies. But it is not the default case that the CEO of a company handles these things.
You would not write Tim Cook about the sate of your order, would you?

I tried this comms possibility because other routes are either unofficial or very vague ☹

Also because he has been to & knows the factory directly!

No, because he is not a CEO like Chen 🙂
Chen ask the customers, which functions they wish or come to a private event to meet the customers and Chen know, what´s going on at the factories in Shenzhen 😉

Of course, and I understand the urge to ask him. But he is still the wrong guy to ask specific support questions regarding your order!
And of course I didn't wanted to compare Chen to TIm on any personal or professional level, Chen is obviously a nicer guy! It was just an example.

I wrote the support 4 days ago asking when the 2nd batch will receive their stock assigned emails. Only got a bullshit template response "blabla you're not in the first batch, the second will be bigger". Then I wrote them again, CCing Chen, and then they finally responded:

We are doing our best to fulfil everyone's orders, and there is a very large quantity of orders which will have to be processed before yours. As per my previous message, if you haven't yet received a stock assigned message, this will happen between the end of this month and early-December, even though the stock will be in transit to our warehouses before that.

Our support team has not been provided with a list of which orders are being shipped, or when exactly that might be happening. We only have the estimates that were given to us. This typically remains unknown for everyone until the logistics team drafts up the shipping docs, and then they’d email the users from that batch with a notice that stock for their device has been allocated.

So nothing mid-november, but early december now. And that's the stock assigned, so we will have it mid december. I sincerely hope the phone is any good. Support, communication and organizational FXtec is on the level of UPS.

This may be hard to understand, but there are some errors everybody new to these kind of stuff has to make.
FxTec is a bunch of engineers and may not had this experience before. Imagine yourself in this situation:
You have a delay, not much but maybe 4 weeks. Your career depends on your customers staying happy. So you contact all your delivery partner about the new situation and ask them when they will deliver. They tell you at latest in the middle of October. So you update your customers because you want to keep'em happy and that is where the trouble begins.

Sales people of company's (including logistic companies) will almost always communicate time frames they can not full fill. Often selling contracts or products not yet existing. This is something you have to learn the hard way. Having multiple companies involved usually ends with each of these company blaming the other companies for the Delay.

What you should do is write your customers that you don't know when it comes, that the current ETA is the middle of October, but that it likely will be pushed back even further. What everybody does, because they want to make us happy is ask a new date (f.e. beginning of November) and communicate that. So the whole thing starts over.

Of course I can not know if something like that happened. But I want to remind you that it is a task with a lot of pressure and needs a lot of experience to handle.
And somewhere they have to learn.

Yes and no. Early-December is the time within which we expect all Pro1 pre-orders to have been shipped. As you might know, we want to be in general availability with a stock surplus at least 1 week before Christmas. From now, until all orders are complete by early-December, our customers will still receive their stock assigned and dispatch notices as soon as units are produced and are on their way to the logistics warehouses.

Can you please also post your order number, so that we can see at which number they are with processing?

Numbers are not relevant, as some customers with the order range of 1XXXX have only paid for their pre-orders last month, while we have orders from the range of 3XXXX that have been paid for 3 months ago.

What affects shipping is when the payment was received or whether an Indiegogo coupon was used, in which scenario the order would be prioritised.

Thank you very much Erik for responding here. I am an IGG backer, QWERTZ, and my payment was a couple of days later after it was possible because the ordering system back then was quite buggy and I had to create a new order, because the support couldn't rescue my first order. I was told be the support two weeks ago that I will be in the 2nd batch. Now my simply question is: When will the 2nd batch get their stock assigned emails? Would be great if you could get this information for us, thank you for your help!

Erhmm, that is EXACTLY what he tried to answer in the second part... From now, until......
