  1. Now I don't know, maybe it is about 60-80 km distance from me but motorway is not toll-free and I am traveling using company's car. Maybe a GPS logger application would help to find out the exact place of reboot anyway (or at least something close to it depending what part of data was lost on reboot...).
  2. This is the second time it happened for me. Both times it was on the same direction of the same motorway - but as I am traveling in every two weeks, it is definitively not always happen.
  3. Yes, it may be related... and it may depend on if it communicates at that transition or if it is idle. Theoretically, it was idle for me but I have it connected and I have also enabled IMAP idle so it may have communicated or also not communicated depending on software state. Also, I have two SIMs inserted if that matters... on one of them, I have LTE and mobile internet enabled. On the other, mobile internet is disabled.
  4. Just for the record... as I have mentioned it yesterday, I ran into the same problem again today near the same place at motorway (I usually go there by every two weeks). It has rebooted, asked my PINs but my fingerprints remained set which is not usual between reboots. Also uptime was 45 mins when I have noticed it, so it has really rebooted.
  5. Unfortunately, not speaking about F(x)tec, the same case applies to Chinese manufacturers... basically nobody knows what is going to happen.
  6. My friend told me about this strange behaviour a few weeks ago. Before that I ran into this problem but as pressing an other key solved it, I didn't really care of it. A little bit after he said it I ran into this thing again and showed him if he is speaking about this behaviour. It was not after a reboot but I have opened the keyboard and started typing... so I showed him I pressed one of the buttons several times and nothing happened... then I have pressed a button nearby which appeared and then the previous button also worked. Anyway, I thought it is much better than the previou
  7. I haven't noticed this problem, however, I use Nova launcher. ...but I have checked it in Guest mode with official launcher and it worked for me, however, it showed only a few applications in that mode.
  8. Maybe it depends on the hand size / type or anything related but I like its keyboard. So it seems unfortunately it is not suitable for you. 😞 I don't feel pressing keys are hard anyway. Now I have compared it against three of my N900s. Two of them have a really similar strength of keypresses - maybe only a very little bit easier to press than my Pro1 but I am unsure if there is really a difference so I may say there is almost no difference. The third N900 has much easier keypresses anyway. I don't really like the curved screen either but I can live with it... fingerprint sensor
  9. I have experienced unexpected reboot only once while traveling on a motorway (it was requesting my PIN). That was the first time of travel after I switched to Pro1 and I thought I may pushed power button somehow as a cause of reboot. Since then I may had a software upgrade (unsure if it was before or after that travel) and switched to another case and it has never happened again yet...
  10. I have bought a foil from https://www.bestskinsever.com/ and cut it, then applied to the back of my Pro1 just before I started to use the phone. I think it is a very good and strong material - it was not really easy to even cut a small hole near noise microphone using a sharp pliers when I found it during the apply of the foil. First I have almost cut it in the wrong place but it can not be seen. So I want to say it is stronger than I thought it first. Unfortunately, they are not selling pre-cut foils for Pro1 but I am thinking to cut my own also for display. However, I am afraid h
  11. I think maybe all of them have this issue or at least one in the 02x, 22x and 3xx range. @EskeRahn also has pre-production unit(s) anyway and as far as I know, initially they had an other kind of display which was replaced by this one not too far before they had a final sample run then production runs. So an early pre-production unit may also has that other display model which was replaced in production units.
  12. I did a quick check. It also stops recording if I press F5 or F6 on Pro1's keyboard (own layout) and unfortunately Pro1 sends these keypresses on opening/closing event. I have also checked on my Motorola G6 using a bluetooth keyboard and it also stopped when I pressed F6 or F7 keys (yes, it seems to be shifted). So it seems OpenCamera has a function mapped to these keys and that is why it stops when you open or close Pro1's slider. It also reacts when I press yellow arrow anyway. So this behaviour will change if F(x)tec assigns a better keypress event for slider open/close f
  13. ...and in practice, it does exceptionally well photos using Google camera (so not the stock one).
  14. It seems to be not an easy thing as if somebody would like to buy a new phone then it should be intact. If you use the device for days then send it back, there is high chance it will not be intact and the next buyer may receive a device which is not really new. So it is much better if you may meet with somebody around to see the device...
  15. My friend did not even notice it until I have asked him about it - since then he does... Anyway, he has even repaired CRT televisions earlier and he was able to set colour temperature correctly even without additional instruments, so he can look at it with his own "calibration glasses" (-:
  16. These completely different behaviours are interesting anyway.
  17. I am using stock software without root access anyway so I don't know what really happen in my phone. The only thing I know is I loose my stored fingerprints every time I restart my phone. (It remained there only one time when I have checked the state of charging the phone while OS is not running, then set it up and checked again. I don't know why they remained set that time but every other restart caused my fingerprints to became unset, so I had to re-register everything.)
  18. Restart the phone - it works for me. 😀 Without joke - it forgets all of my fingerprints if I restart the phone. I had only one time it remained set whe I have rebooted the phone several times to test something.
  19. Hmm, I have just wanted to see my mail server's log when I have realized I was registered using my Gmail account. 🙂 However, I think they have not sent me this update as I don't have a pending order now, but it is good to keep us updated as I wish them the best and would like to know about it... Anyway, SPF should fail only if they sent that e-mail from an address other than what was written in TXT record or if that e-mail was not sent by them... However, it also fails for e-mails forwarded by another server if that server is not mentioned in TXT record.
  20. Also local PCB manufacturers have problems sourcing materials and I have heard news about car factories are going to have problems in sourcing parts because of the virus.
  21. I don't care about the aged processor as well. First, it is not slow at all... second, my Moto G6 had weaker processor and it was also working well (except the slow flash). As long as the processor and its components are supported in kernel, updates are expected without real problems. I don't know the ratio of closed-source blobs in Pro1's kernel but it may be related to long-term support... so the less closed (not maintainble by 3rd-party) part, the higher chance to be maintainable by community or even by F(x)tec. So higher closed-source parts causes higher dependency of others (manufac
  22. That is why I like my QWERTZ keyboard (and would be much happier with unshifted QWERTY anyway). Keys are exactly where I would expect.
  23. They will see how selling of Pro1s are going after general availability. If demand drops, lowering the price may help... but if they bring the price too low, there will be too low gap between production price and their actual costs (not production but altogether). So they may decide to sell phones at lower price but also to have higher price but able to sell if someone need it... This decision may affect the future of the company anyway and only they can see the numbers...
  24. Yes - for the USA, the reduced keyboard is fine. However, in other countries, where there are also other characters (in my case áéíóöőúüű and its capitals but other languages have û, è, ê, ë-type characters and so on) there are more buttons needed for proper use. They are similar characters like a,b,c - so o,ó,ö,ő are different alphabetical characters which are not exists in standard US keyboards. As of programming and terminal access - for these purposes, I use a PC... but in a relatively rare case when there is no PC around and I may use my phone instead, it is a life-saver... So
