Would be nice. I would prefer an Omni-search tough. Typing 'Sky' f.e. should give you a list with 'call skyler', 'write skyler', 'open Skype' and so on. This should include settings ('Wirel...' => 'turn on wireless'), apps, contacts and so on (custom defined macros).

The N900 not because it had the best hardware, it probably hadn't, but because the whole OS was designed for a keyboard phone (with a stylus). Go back in a menu? just click somewhere on the background. Call Peter, just type peter anywhere outside an app and press enter, sms? the same but with an arrow-key in-between. This grade of efficiency will most certainly not be possible with android at the moment. But I hope some lineage-devs will work in this direction. P.S. The single-key shortcut to an app is nice but pretty static.

So sounds like a normal windows 10 update and most supplier-versions of android... I still remember the time I had a phone which worked all the time, it was a N900 with maemo 5 on it (fantastic OS, unfortunately marketing beats quality). But you are right, a backup may save some nerves. Imagine having to ride a train for an hour and your phone does not allow you to stream a movie.

Sure, I agree, more resolution would be better. But again it should not be the focus of that phone, the keyboard should be. Sure it is expensive compared to "budget-china" phones. It has a 2160 x 1080 (FHD+) panel not a 1080p. Okay it is a small difference in numbers but important for the form factor. Higher resolution also means higher power use, while adding not all to much more quality. To have a good panel is way more important than to have a higher resolutions on these small devices, the ppi is already high enough. I do not know if the panel is actually good, but i hope for a good brightness and a good black, than the resolution is more than enough

Don't get me wrong, I hate "social media" as much as you, and I believe that only 4% of dutch people use twitter, but the real question is, how many people do not have twitter but are interested enough in a smartphone with a keyboard? These numbers may look different. The real point however is, that a newsletter is much more work than a twitter account and has less visibility outside of the bubble (people on this forum here). But as said I would love a Newsletter too.

Vienna would be lovely, wouldn't say no to a trip there. And of course I would also love to invite, but I don't think Switzerland makes any sense at all. Small, Expensive and unfortunately clearly an iPhone country. Unfortunately I think Vienna is also rather on the small side. I think they should look at the pre-orders and not choose a Location somewhere in the middle. Maybe it is only me, but with my current schedule it is hard to find time for a longer travel and it is somewhat expensive just for a phone. So while I would love a trip to Vienna I would most certainly not make it.

But we have to understand, that writing a newsletter for a company is not a quick thing. New companies rise and fail with first impressions. Writing a newsletter is a lot of work (Deciding what is going in, writing it, style it, correct it) everything with multiple people. Absolutely agree on that. It is hard click baiting. But to be honest I would love an official statement on how things are going!

I do not think it is safe to assume that they don't make it in July. This thread seems to be a bit confusing. There is no official delay (yet). Could be possible that they started their production run, and further pre-orders have to wait for the second run. Could be delay. Could be a safety net. Nothing against your points, and I wouldn't wonder about a short delay neither, but it is all guesswork here.

Don't think so, only crowdfunded projects continue to burn money as long as possible. I do not think they would design IEMs while knowing that the project is failing. They would supply stock black ones! Why throwing more money into it, if it is already clear that gets cancelled?

Don't get me wrong, of course there could be delay. But there should be nothing which sends them back for 6 months or so. August, September? Of course can happen (happens my projects all the time :D). But I still hope it is coming before my phone dies of completly.

Yeah, really hard decision between free IEMs and audio technicas... xD Don't now that exact Model, but chances are good that the sound of your ATs is better.

I have actually nothing against the bigger screen sizes. But 6" seems to be a bit big for the keyboard from what you can read. So a 5.5" would probably be better while still using a stock display. I would go for a 5"-5.5" if I could choose (would have to try it to be sure).
