  1. I don't want things to be smaller on my screen. But it is a good point that it should also adjust to fit if someone does pick "Large" in that screen, not just work with "Default". UPDATE: Oddly enough, it *does* work when set to "Large", because it reduces the icons to one row instead of two. That's probably more by luck than design. Default still needs to work though.
  2. I tested this just now on my new phone. It was barely there. Then I realized that my P20 Pro TPU case is acting as a bumper for this purpose, so the screen doesn't contact the keyboard when tapping. If I peel back the case a bit on one corner, then it does make a louder noise. Hard to tell if it is as much as the video or not. I'd say similar or less.
  3. Issues noticed in the last couple days of using my Pro1: - I can't get MTP ("File Transfer") to work at all. I will test with other computers, but PTP does work. - PTP only shows the internal storage, not the SD card. I somehow randomly got it to show both the internal storage and the SD card one time, but I couldn't get it to come back. - The phone doesn't retain the USB Preference after the connection is disconnected, so you have to re-set it every time you plug it in. - When in landscape, pulling down the settings shortcuts results in the Edit and Settings (pen and gea
  4. I have not seen that happen when connected to my laptop. I have had that happen with phones in the past and there are constant sounds of Windows recognizing the phone appearing and disappearing. I am using a 3rd party Type A to Type C cable, not the one it shipped with. Could it be your cable? If it is the port, you might want to talk to support about it. It could just be an issue with your particular port. I really hope it doesn't become a wide spread issue, because that is one of the huge benefits of USB-C vs micro USB. On the other hand, the USB-C port is supposed to be mo
  5. That seems like a very nice idea for people who need many symbols. If only Steve Jobs would have taken that approach rather than going for the virtual keyboard. :-/

Are you saying the letter printing on the QWERTZ keyboard has bolder/thicker letters? I noticed today how thin the printing is on the Pro1. To be sure I wasn't imagining it, I compared it to my Relay 4G. The Relay 4G's letters are at least 2 times thicker, possibly 3 times thicker. I also thought about the lighting issue and thought it was a doubly unfortunate design mistake (doubly, because they are much easier to see at a glance when they are bolded, lighting or no lighting). Did they realize the mistake and make the later designed QWERTZ keyboards have thicker strokes on the lett
  7. Today was a hectic day. I did do some file transfer speed testing various ways, but that was about it. I'll report on those details tomorrow, most likely. One thing to note was that the Pro1 fits perfectly in the belt holster I got for it. I'll post the details of that later too. I had it in that holster for over 6 hours this evening, while I was busy doing something else. It was at 100% battery when I put it in the holster and it was at 100% battery when I took it out! That is almost unbelievable to me. I'm really going to like having a phone that I don't have to charge many time
  8. We'll see how it all works out. I'm not promising I'll be successful. :-)
  9. Mine has done that a few times since I to got it yesterday. I haven't done any OTA updates yet.
  10. I am testing out my new Pro1. My Windows 7 laptop installed drivers automatically when I plugged it into the USB 3 port with a USB 3 cable (just mentioning, not that it is important for that purpose). I then enabled developer options and USB debug mode and then set the USB Preferences to "File Transfer" (which should be MTP). However, the phone doesn't show up in explorer. If I set it to PTP, it does show up (only the internal storage). I haven't installed the OTAs yet, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone else has gotten MTP to work? As an aside, it copies very fast from i
  11. https://community.fxtec.com/ 😉
  12. More test results from another app. The internal tests may be skewed due to caching. I don't know. But the external SD card shows the same slowness. For some reason the test starts out faster on the SD card and then slows down over time (for writes). I'm guessing caching has something to do with that. Internal storage: SD card:
  13. That's more awkward to lift up to your ear though. 😉
  14. I haven't used mine on cellular yet, so maybe that is just normal unless you are transferring data. It just seemed like the x would mean no signal or meant something wasn't working right.
  15. Odd. My Ring volume setting matches perfectly with the bell volume in that double slider popup.
  16. What is going on with the x on the phone signal? Was this before you got your T-Mobile working?
  17. You missed (4). A cat that won't skin you alive if you put a pearl necklace on it. :-)
  18. I can't see the label on that port that it is plugged into, but if it says QuickCharge, that's why. It will still slow charge if it is plugged into most computer USB ports and other non-QuickCharge chargers. Some of the newer PowerDelivery chargers will support QuickCharge too. And then there will be those chargers that are faster than a USB port, but still not truly QuickCharge. But it sure does charge quickly on a QuickCharge charger. :-)
  19. An easier way is to tap the volume (whether you are at the home screen or in an app) and then tap that gear icon at the bottom. This will give you a screen where you can set the volume for all the different options (Media volume, Call volume, Ring volume, Alarm volume). It also allows you to set the default sounds for the various options. It is the same screen as what you get to when you go to Settings->Sound, but it is a faster way to get there.
  20. Alternatively, do it under a pillow to muffle the explosion. :-)
  21. Yes, thanks for clarifying. And thanks for testing. I reported it in the Bug thread. It seems to be operating at "Fast Speed", which is 25 MB/s max, instead of UHS-I, which is 104 MB/s. Or it could just be a coincidence that the speeds are close to the Fast Speed bus limit. Either way, it isn't operating at what it should.
  22. Usually you won't get the full speed out of a card in a phone as you do in a computer. However, I have seen other people get these speeds from the same card on their phones in Amazon reviews. 80/60 and 78/52 Do you have all the latest OTAs updated in the phone?
  23. Can someone else who has an SD card in their Pro1 run the A1 SD Bench app against it and report the speeds? I am only getting about 20 MB/s, which is much slower than it should be. I haven't applied the OTAs yet, so maybe that will fix it. I just want to see if anyone's phone can get faster speeds and whether you are up to date on OTA updates. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a1dev.sdbench&hl=en_US I tried other apps with the same issue. Oh, and you might get 0 MB/s for the write tests in A1 SD Bench. I thought I might have gotten a write test to show no
