I haven't started from scratch since before Lineage went to using the multiple image files (I didn't do the betas), but I'm assuming from the official instructions on the Lineage web site (there is no official Pro1x page yet, they send you to the Pro 1 page) That I only need to flash "boot.img" and I will have the Lineage recovery and can just flash the zip. Anyone know?

You may be right, but that would surprise me. I would think if that were the case, messenger phones would be much more available from the big companies. Most of that audience out there look at me like I'm either nuts, eccentric, quaint or Grandad,,, sometime all of the above... whenever I snap out my keyboard (rarely ever use either my Pro1 pr Pro1x without the keyboard). They are somewhat mystified by how good my internet is, but they don't see the cheap moto on Verizon in my other pocket serving a secure WPA2 connection. 😉

I understand frustration over the phone not working for many people, but don't quite get these two choices being the only ones. Sure, if you wanted the phone to work, try and sell it and get your money back. But box it and forget about it? All of us invested in a keyboard phone. Presumably, people didn't need a full slide out keyboard to make phone calls. So people, like me, had needs and uses in mind that made a physical keyboard far more ideal than an on-screen keyboard. What we ended up with, in my opinion, is a pocket computer with one of the finest keyboards I have ever used on

We are a user-to-user forum, so we don't know. I would guess that the first paragraph means they have expanded the range of units slowly shipping but it doesn't mean all of the previous range has shipped yet. I'm hoping the second paragraph means they have found a way to ship a much larger batch more quickly and are hoping to accomplish that soon, but I don't know. That was what was supposed too happen back in August, before they ran into the contract problems.

There has not yet been an update to the stock Android 11 it comes with, which is why the updater says that. Hopefully they will get updates released in the future, but so concrete information at this time. Lineage 20 for the Pro1x will be officially released this Thursday. Currently, flashing that will be the only way to have security updates.

No OTA has showed up, but there was at least one time that happened and then it showed up on Wed. But it may be all hands on deck for getting ready with the Pro1x Official release scheduled for Thursday. 😉

Mine does fine... Win 10, USB 3.0 hub. I can browse both internal memory and the SD card folders. This is with stock Android 11 (non-beta) that it came with, Google and all.

I had no problem with the 20230410 OTA. Something else maybe glitched while it was installing? Hopefully sideloading will fix it.

Something is definitely not right if the front/selfie camera isn't working. They are fine on mine with the original camera app (I don't use it, I use Open Camera). I would contact FxTec. It might be that they could send you a new top (display and frame, which includes the front camera), which is pretty easy to install (5 screws and a ribbon cable). They may or may not have immediate availability of that part, so there could be a wait, but check and see.

Seems odd if true (and maybe it is since all of my customer support for the past year has been handled by him exclusively-- I just assumed they only had one guy.) That name as FxTec staff is also on Discord, but he never says anything. But if it's made up... why "Francisco" as CS for a UK company. As in "San..."? Now I'm curious. 😉

It's not really a new website. It's more of a new front page that links to both the old smartphone website and their more recent but also not new Linxdot website.

Oh, and just to bring this back around to the OP, you can no longer back the Pro1x on the IGG page. You would have to either look on Ebay or wait to see if they become available in the FxTec store at some point.

The new website is actually a new front page. If you click the "Explore Pro 1 and Pro1x" link it takes you to the old part of the site and you can get to your account there, or just click the shop link at the top of this forum.

The new FxTec front page is not fake. Their Linxdot business has been going on for some time, is successful, and is likely how they are paying to get our Pro1xs to us. The additional IGG campaigns are clearly fake.

Yeah, this stuff is complicated. Is your Pixel also on T-Mobile? Is it set up for 5G? I'm entertaining the theory that my success is due to magic. 😉

It would be nice if I pulled his phone out and it immediately grabbed Band 4 and just worked. But if that doesn't happen, there are other variables here, Before drawing any conclusion about the phone being faulty we probably would at least need to try my sim in his phone and his sim in my phone and might even need to factory reset both to eliminate software differences.

Well, it could be a little more complicated than that. If Thanks, this may be useful once I better figure out how it works. It seems to confirm that where I am is blanketed by B4 but shows me a couple of nearby pockets that have very weak B4 and mostly B12. All bands seem to be available from the towers, including 66 and 71, but in town, 4 seems strongest. I'll try to do some tests over the week-end.

Being a user-to-user forum, we don't know. They will have to get all the stock out to IGG backers and pre-orders first. I would watch the updates at Indegogo, as that will tell you how the things that have to get out of the way first are progressing.

I received mine recently, but I believe it is from the same batch that has been sitting in the warehouse since July. I don't believe either hardware or firmware has been changed(it still has the June 2022 security update). There is no indication there was a "later batch." The secret of my success with connectivity seems to be, locally, the ability to hold onto band 4, which probably has more to do with the choices T-Mobile has made in their implementation here where I live than anything to do with the phone itself. Probably got side-lined when you requested it to come out of your refund. I would follow up. Maybe @Casey can help. I just requested both a battery and a screen assembly for the Pro 1 and they got back to me with a quote in 2 days. I just sent them my address so they can calculate shipping, so now at same point as you. Hopefully, I'll hear back more quickly. 😉

Okay, I have been using my Pro1x for two weeks and it is now officially replacing my Pro1 as my daily driver. So I will not only be answering the thread question, but I will also be comparing my Pro1x to my Pro 1.
