I believe we were told at some point that the battery for the Pro1x was not identical to the Pro1 battery, but I can't find it now. I'm sure you can order Pro1 batteries direct from FxTec. @Casey, can you clarify for us. I dont want to be giving wrong information.

Pro¹ X – state of production and delivery

They don't ship the phones as pallets. There are no distribution centers located in those other countries. Each phone is individually labeled and shipped from Hong Kong (as it was with the Pro 1. They actually tried shipping all Pro1s for the US to A FedEx hub to be distributed by FedEx very early on in 2019 and, yeah, hit a wall with customs(I wonder if they ever got those original Pro1s back from US Customs). That's when they switched to labeling and shipping individual phones working with Expansys HK. -
I also use my Pro1 as a PDA (though I prefer "pocket computer," one of whose functions is PDA). I run lineage on it. I use it to to work in landscape almost exclusively. I use it as a PDA (Calendaring is especially nice with a full moth on screen where the appointments are all readable), email, browsing. writing and editing (yes, I can actually write long text comfortably using Textmaker from Softmaker Office or Markor, depending on what I'm writing, ssh-ing into a Linux server I have access to, IRC, and messaging. (I'm not a programmer or IT guy. Also not a gamer.) Basically, all things

I agree. I was merely reacting to your wording that could be interpreted as Lineage is available for the Pro1x now. 🙂

A couple of clarifications. I am assuming the OP is talking about ordering a Pro1x (he says "pre-order). The Pro1x has a one year warranty, not a two year warranty. Also, while Lineage is definitely in development, it is not yet available for the Pro1x and we don't know an ETA yet.

Pro1, Ghost touches and other digitizer and display issues

I can confirm it is from the receiving date. My last screen replacement/repair (never been sure which it was) came when I had a problem occur 3 weeks before the end of my warranty calculated from when I received the phone. I checked with FxTec and they agreed with my calculation and also agreed that it is when the problem occurs relative to the warranty period and not whether they received it for repair while still in the warranty period (by the time we worked out the trouble-shooting and arranged repair, it was after the end of the warranty period when they received my phone). I would -
Hmmm, did they instruct you to send by cheapest method possible? They always instructed me to do that. That is USPS International Parcel Post and is usually about $50 (at least from VA). It seems very effective at getting it delivered properly, although you can't insure it for what the phone is worth because Parcel Post has a maximum much lower, but that was never a problem the two times I sent mine in. I think in England, USPS hands off to Royal Mail. I don't know what happened with the adresses. I always used the addresses Francisco provided and had no problem. Sorry you have had such a d

And there is yet another possibility I have seen in the contracting world (In US, not China). (Again, I have no idea if any of this is what is happening here). So even though FxTec got phones to warehouse before contract end, lock downs and low staffing prevented most of the phones from going out before the contract end. This means all work has to stop until there is a contract extension. (I've proposed this before). But here is where December comes in, which I have not mentioned before. Even if the contract extension is mostly pro forma (mostly a rewrite of the work order with new da -
I think we are having a terminological mix-up here. There are three possible elements being talked about here. There is the display itself. There is the frame for the display. And there is the upper housing. What @claude0001 is talking about, I think, is the frame. The frame is what separates out when you undo the 5 screws and disconnect the ribbon cable. I've always presumed that is what you sell as a replacement. It involves no gluing as the display is already set in the frame, but it also doesn't involve the hinges as they connect with the backplate which does not come off when you

I recommend you take @Casey up on his offer. I suspect you'll get a pretty fast turn around, especially if you share your ticket number with Casey. And your problem will be solved. I had to send my Pro 1 to London twice and was very happy with the results both times. 🙂

It never will. The contractor who was responsible for stock Android on the Pro1 is no longer involved. Your best bet (for so many reasons) is to switch to Lineage which is up to Android 12.

I can only speak for US where FedEx handles it all the way to our door. If there wasn't a mix-up with customs, I would have had the Pro1x for my friend on the third day from getting the tracking number. I did get my Pro 1 in two days also. And my friend who already received his from FxTec, much the same as I recall. I said "once FedEx picks up" because of things like Expansys picking and shipping requires people and the people only work M-F until 6pmm HK time, so if you order on a Friday and it is close to or after 6 on Friday, nothing will happen until Monday. Picking and shipping appare -

Expansys has been their shipping partner since 2019. The problem isn't shipping-- when Batch 1 and 2 ship, people will get their phones quickly (2 day air once FedEx picks up, same as Expansys orders). The problem is something about their contract with Expansys which has to be resolved. Expansys themselves have no such obstacle. -
LineageOS 19.1 Official Release for Pro1

Updated via OTA. The usual 2 hours to finish, but seeing neither of the symptoms you described so far. I don't use gestures, -
Take a look at the last couple of pages of the Production and Delivery thread. We don't know as even the latest update doesn't address it. We do know, from Discord 1)They know about it 2)They have explicitly said the will honor the warranty on the Expansys devices. The silence may have to do with the close hold discussions of the shipping contract, but I don't buy the conspiracy theory that Expansys HK is stealing our phones during the negotiations. Expansys has been around a long time and is a reputable company. More likely, I think, they bought stock which they are free to ship o

Here in the US, $338 for phone plus $15 shipping. No any other fees, even after my uncharacteristic paperwork snafu with customs. 😉 It has already been sent off to my friend. -
If a large number of people with different phones in NYC are having problems, it sounds like a system outage of some kind, not a Pro 1 problem. Either T-Mobile is working on infrastructure or there has been a breakdown in the local system. I would check with T-Mobile and see if they are aware of problems. This may pass, as annoying as any system downtime is. I know of no move by T-Mobile to whitelist phones like AT&T and Verizon. Another possibility is is T-Mobile in NYC is moving to use one of their newer bands (I think it's band 71, but that's off the top of my head) more. It's

By the way, I did buy one (which just got released by US customs after a paperwork snafu that doesn't usually happen in the US), but not for me. I talked two friends into buying a Pro1x. One received his in August and I just wanted to be sure my other friend would get his. I will wait for mine from FxTec and if they come through, I will end up with two Pro1xs because my friend will send me his if it arrives from FxTec. I did not buy one of these for myself. I still have faith in FxTec. I know they will come through if they can. And if they can't, it won't be because they were eit -

A couple of things. I don't think Expansys USA exists anymore. It may have been an off-shoot of the original operation, but not the exactly the same. Expansys in Asia has been pretty dependable over the years (I used them long ago and they have always been FxTec's shipping partner). Secondly, Fxtec has stated in Discord discussions that they will back the warranty on the Expansys sold models. -

Just wanted to point out that I never use a case and I had a severe ghost touch problem at the end of 2020. I only have a thin textured skin on the back for added grip. -

The automated system says that while awaiting input from the folks who pick, package and ship. There are no people available outside the hours of 8am-6pm M-F Hong Kong time. You will probably see this change somewhere around mid-day Monday HK time. People who ordered on Discord saw this, as did I. They received theirs. Mine is sitting in Memphis, TN right now because for some odd reason customs decided I must be an importer and I'm in a paperwork mess trying to convince them otherwise. I'm wondering if Expansys mislabeled. This one came straight from HK to Memphis, when usually the -

I don't use it often, but the forum ignore feature is nice. I can see a certain someone is generating a lot of posts, but I don't have to read them, having figured out that this person never posts anything new nor engages in discussion. 🙂 -

As I stated above, Fxtec has alredy stated in Discord that the Expansys units will have full warranty from Fxec (which is one year for the Pro1x, not 2 years). -

Hook replied to Rob. S.'s topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
Another, less ominous explanation,,, (though I hope Fxtec will let us know) is that Expansys had ordered some for themselves that were manufactured at the same time as batches 1 and 2. Those are not affected by problems in the shipping contract. Those went to Expansys Sales, and Expansys ships them for themselves, not Fxtec. Expansys may have remaindered them because of lowered specs, which looks bad but isn't crooked. They didn't have to pay for R&D. People on Discord have ordered and received. FxTec has acknowledged them and say they will be covered by FxTec for warranty.
