Yeah, and your countryman @Anssi Hannula made FinQwerty to handle the differences 🙂
-
Yes the odd thing is that you can select the English (UK) on the list, that would give you the Pound, but then several other things would not match the print. I have suggested @Anssi Hannula to add it to the FinQwerty. Let us hope he will do that at some point. It is a free open source app, But the homepage has a Donate button, so i people tries that, it might help entice him to add it,... 😇 And on the App thing @Craig and @VaZso debated it technically is an app that exposes at set of .kcm files to the system, as we can not just copy those in on a non-rooted device, so it is not an a

a £15 dongle will do, and it is supported by the Pro1. See e.g. this -
I also noticed US, Switzerland, Austria, Czech, Finland and the Netherlands mentioned
-
I can confirm that goes for the ones I have tested. 🙂

I fear you are right! It can be found using US-International on the open source FinQwerty https://android.onse.fi/finqwerty/#pro1

If the keyboard is not THE important thing for you, then sure you can get more bang for your bucks with a slab. And you might consider a bluetooth keyboard. On a desk the functionality is quite similar. For some of us the keyboard is THE most important thing, and the rest just 'has to work'. Yes I did! Sorry, saw it as the first DID get a stock assigned, sorry!
-
This is really weird compared to this above, so I suggest check you spam filter an extra time Please ignore, misread the post I compared with.

He he. You will find the fingerprint reader is MUCH more useful with a case, as it will not accidentally get triggered, so practically no more "Too many attempts...."

Could be @holter told in the other thread that the reference number they use is the Fxtec order number, so try and see if one of them matches 🤞

The camera in it self is fine I think, but the software/driver can clearly be improved. The Camera2 API is implemented (though not flawless), opening for a range of third party apps, So you can use an app like "Open Camera", but here the HDR is not currently working well (the app does HDR fine elsewhere)

We have one of those reported in this thread yesterday, but I do not know if that was a general mail or a personal answer to a support question. But would be nice if they sent out a mail to the remaining 30%, to clear things up, and not leaving people with a false hope of a missed mail,

Well what matters (as I understand it) is the fraction within each country, so if a large fraction in your country paid even earlier than you, they are the lucky ones. It is a matter of how early it is needed to have paid to be among the first 70% in the country. The fluctuations are larger for countries with few orders, as each order matters more. If in a country with only three orders, the two first will reach close to the 70%, leaving out the third. But this also means that just a single additional order paid after the third would have put the third person in the lucky group, even

Bought one (£15) that arived today, and it seems to do HDMI just fine, both landscape and portrait. The icons looks a bit overwhelming in landscape on a 43" monitor though 😂 In landscape it Letterboxes on my current 16:9 screen, but in portrait I get gigantic side borders. Ending as 36% black + 28% display + 36 black. But in Landscape it is just fine with 5½% black + 89% display + 5½%. Though the monitor used might offer PIP or various split-modes, that could be useful. PIP could make a lot of sense on a large monitor. Trying a restart, The display is broadcasted before

I got the exact same urge, And I'm not quite sure how I have been able to restrain myself from talking it a part. Perhaps because I know that in the unlikely event of messing it up disassembling it, it would not be easy to replace (yet)

Wauw, so we are talking delivery in Europe before CNY. Now that was a pleasant surprise! 😎

Indeed. If that trend holds I guess I'm not the only one using qwertY with qwertZ hardware to avoid the shifted letters. It should be remembered that they still are not active on the wrong side of the Atlantic yet, so we should wait at the least 24h before we can expect more representative numbers. And actually I would expect an over-representation in Europe, as many languages are Latin based but have additional national letters usually on keys to the right of the A-Z letter block

Awesome job! On the buttons, I commonly see cases where the buttons are covered BUT the material is thinned around the 'block' covering the button. That is, there is a thin flex-zone that allows the button to move, . Apart from that, in my experience cutting cases for the Pro1, the opening for the fingerprint reader need to be rather large, and preferably with slanted edges towards the device Tried to make a rough and exaggerated sketch, blue button, orange case, read fingerprint reader

Actually it could be interesting if there were set up some (preferably multilateral) agency that could give us something in between closed source and open source. Some sort of "Verified source", that would allow companies to keep their trade secrets close, but yet have independent parties verifying that the code is benign, and does what is described only, ....But now I'm moving the thread off topic.

Despite the less than 1000 downloads in the Android Market, it sure looks interesting. Is there a setting to NOT put the icons as far out of reach as possible? The default is certainly not one-hand friendly in portrait. (Listing a group book-style from top left) It took me some guesses before I found out that a long tap on any category tab is the way to add a new category or widget (the help is not quite up to date here)

Though always a good idea to vote for people like that, promoting that to a "solution" is a bit on the optimistic side IMHO. But at the least it can remove the option of doing stuff like that legally. A part of the solution is open source, so all the shady stuff can be detected, as is needed before it can be avoided.

That clearly sounds like a bug (so moved the comments in here), but COULD be another aspect of the known bug that some links are messed up...

We have had this spread in various threads, but perhaps it would be nice to get it gathered. If you ask me none really work super well. The build in has its benefits, but are quite simple. The big ones like Nova, does not really work well with Landscape nor keyboards. Usable, but not really good. But those being used to a specific third party launcher, that supports landscape, could continue to do so. I just use the stock, as the pros outweighs the caveats of its simplicity to me. ADD: I strongly suggest to change the Android setting under Settings, System, G

As far as what I know the only relevant we got recently is this but that was quite pessimistic it seems only expecting stock assigned by the end of next week, and it seems that at the least a fair portion of those have already been emailed today. Earlier batches via warehouse took about two weeks from stock assigned to it arrived on the doorsteps in Europe. You can see some examples browsing in this, Mine took 15 days. Four days between tracking code and delivery to DK.
