  1. This is a fruitless discussion... This list as an example we all have, so all can test it. The functionality is not a big miss here. But it might be in another context. I merely tried to point out that a functionality build into Android is prevented from working with the fix Edge null give us. Whether it will be missed or can be circumvented is a totally different story. And for many it most likely is a less nuisance that the edge is passive than the accidental grabbings.
  2. If you grab the grey slider you can go from the top to the bottom of the list in one screen length, grabbing the page, you can move one page at the time only (and more swiping)
  3. Sure, you can do classic scrolling swiping like crazy (and the more apps installed the worse), but you can not grab the scroll slider and scroll quickly, as it is at the very edge. ADD: Actually Pie is a little odd here, as you can drag that slider, but you can NOT drag the similar slider in e.g. Developer options 🙄
  4. ...I do not think I break any secrets by saying that something similar to edge null is already active in the hardware driver. The outer most pixels are not touch sensitive. The whole display was active on the early builds, where the problems was much more pronounced.
  5. I meant the installed apps list. "Setting", "Apps and notifications" "See all ### apps"
  6. The only problem with edge null, is that it is touch only, so interaction along the edges are no longer possible. If you open e.g. the apps list, you can not pull the scroll bar slider. But it is for sure a big help for those having issues.
  7. For me it changed a lot when I added a case, And I'm still using the rather bulky (21mm) flip case, as the device is not currently easy replaceable. But I guess I will go back to a shell protecting the bottom half, but that had about the same effect, as the fingers grab the case, and thus about 1mm from the device (and fingerprint scanner), unless I deliberately grab and unlock it in one go. (The pre production unit that can not connect to the net, I keep in a simple shell)
  8. Thanks, yeah thought so. I do not know if there are some reasons why @Anssi Hannula got the source but not the .apk linked on his page. Of course I (or anyone) could just take the current from a phone for a test but would prefer an official link. But I merely tried to signal, that the fn thing most likely would be fixed by that. Of course the lack of backlight-support is not as easy.
  9. Very interesting. Did you try it with FinQwerty? I suppose that would fix the keyboard issues with Fn (=Yellow arrow)
  10. Too bad. There are also those that do both charging and data-transfer, but does not allow the full set of stuff an USB-C can. The one you got can most likely do the full set.
  11. Thanks for the hint. I can not get it to do reverse portrait in any of the Auto options. If it does on yours, what are your settings? "Forced Auto" and "Forced 3/4 auto" does not seem to work at all, But "Auto" does what I assume "Forced 3/4 auto" was supposed to do (=Anything but reverse portrait)
  12. Strictly it depends on your settings, if you selected the classic buttons (Settings, System, Gestures, Swipe up on Home button), it would be the app-list button that is in this slot. (Autorotate is pushed further towards the edge)
  13. Then the "reverse portrait" mode holding it 'upside down' would most likely be perfect for you. I found apps that forced "Reverse portrait", But oddly none (yet) where auto rotate included Reverse portrait (For may of these app, the setting is there put it does not work on the Pro1. I have no idea if it is a Pie or a current Pro1 limitation) ADD Those that prefer holding it in the right hand (for either one or two handed operation), might consider this minor app, and select "Reverse portrait". And it works nicely with the default setting of the Pro1 of forcing to landscape when open. Un
  14. Despite my love for the Pro1, I would say that if a Passport suited your wishes and needs, The Titan sounds like it would be perfect for you.
  15. Yes. It is controlled by a setting in the "Settings" menu "Slider". "Landscape orientation lock".
  16. Det er temmeligt upraktisk hvis vi hver især skriver på vores eget sprog herinde.... Please: English only in this forum. Use personal messages if you want to communicate with another member with whom you share another language.
  17. This one is about 5.35mm in it self and Including the slightly sideways protruding plastic it is about 6.10mm, but you can cut that away, if you should prefer. Leaving the plastic, you will have slightly over 1mm clearance under the plastic part The female part that goes over the whole thing has an exterior thickness of 6.4mm, leaving a clearance of slightly under 1mm to the desk. BUT this plug protrudes 4 to 5mm from the top to bottom, of the slanted end. And I hope to find something closer....
  18. Ah! That height is not an issue on the flat ones. Only the round ones - At the least I have not seen any of the flat reached the desk. What I'm talking about is how much it will protrude. It MIGHT be that this is identical to (or even worse than) what we would have if we removed the white piece of plastic of the ones we got. And that of course would not help at all (if anything making the plug easier to accidentally be pulled out, getting caught in something)
  19. I have seen measurements on other pages indicating that it indeed is smaller (6.8mm+2mm). But that might not be correct (could be a charge only plug) and/or we are looking at optimistic renderings.
  20. I confused the mentioned Titan with the Cosmo, sorry. Ah! the top buttons! I thought you meant the buttons on the keyboard shifted to the right, my bad too. The fingerprint sensor is perfectly placed for the right index finger in landscape. For portrait the Pro1 is clearly designed for right handed people, that will hold the device in the left hand, and operate the display with the right. And here the sensor sits almost perfect for the left hand ring finger. I fail to see how your suggested placement would be better for right handed people in both landscape and portrait? Are you
  21. I got one similar looking to the one in your pictures. The one I linked seems more compact, without the white plastic.
  22. I'm pretty sure that FxTec stated somewhere that they initially would simply swap phones and not do repairs, for accepted warranty claims. (How long they would do that was not stated, as I remember)
