  1. Note the "Set Preferred Network Type". It MIGHT say "Unknown" in the above image (do so here by default!), and if you change things when it says "Unknown" things does not work at all afterwards (not even sms), and you will need to set this, I did that from the 'official', settings, network settings, ..., and not from this 'hidden' menu. I do not know if both works equally well, but just a warning if others experiences issues.
  2. FinQWERTY already got a layout for Czech based on qwertY. And I guess it would not be hard to persuade him to make it for qwertZ too. You could try using his Donate button 😇 If one or the other is the best generally divides people. I personally prefer the qwertZ print even for US-qwertY usage, as it is closer to standard layouts with national letters right of the A-Z block, despite the swapped Y/Z.
  3. After the forum change everything is super easy for me compared to the horrible mess of approving each and every comment.... So If they prefer edit limited, fine with me. It is a long discussion of pro's and cons, if not everyone always uses the quote function. If I write something that I later find out has changed (say a bug fixed), it is really nice to be able to go back and strike out my whining about it, not to confuse new readers. But If it is just edited away, following replies/reactions can look far out of context, even if they were originally totaly on topic...
  4. ...At the least it is not as silly as calling the Android Market by its current official loony name. 🥴
  5. Here 3½ day (82h) over Christmas, using 53% battery:
  6. How odd. I will suggest them to open it up.
  7. They technically both work, but you are sort of 'on your own', as everything except the numbers are 'wrong'. So If you got a good memory, or a steady hand so you can scrape of the black for each symbol you are fine... And only plain and with Shift&Ctrl works. Nothing with Alt or Fn, as far as I can see. It seems like the standard on a QWERTY, based on the US shifted QWERTY (The differences between the two layouts are very small btw)
  8. That wont help much, as this is the Latin based letters only, not the Cyrrilic ones.
  9. I'm not sure how much you can squeeze into the "Member title"...
  10. Well yes and no. As we are not told where we are in the queue that would not help much for the individual. But what they could tell with each would be something like . The batch that just left the factory will cover pre-orders with IGG coupons with payment received before DD MMM And after all coupon orders handled . The batch that just left the factory will cover pre-orders with payment received before DD MMM
  11. If I do not recall wrong he wrote that it would cover about 3/10 of the pre orders.
  12. It is VERY interesting if you can make this annoying bug reproducable, as most see it rarely, I have not seen it since spring on a preproduction unit. So please try to describe the steps needed, and if it is related to specific apps or the like.
  13. I noticed a rather weak signal for both Phone and WiFi, This can significantly reduce the stamina. But of course the almost 7h screen on time can be expected to eat a LOT of battery by it self, depending of the brightness.
  14. For FinQWERTY have a look at the key-maps in the link above. For some languages It is shift, and for other Fn. E.g. For US it it us Fn+L, for US International Alt+L though. Things could easily be mapped very differently, but Anssi tried to keep it as close to the printed a possible.
  15. Oh I have a suspicion you might be using the wrong layout! In general you get the yellow symbols with Fn (=Yellow arrow) with the correct stock layout 1) For stock/build in, If your device is qwertY do NOT select any language! That is clear ALL tick boxes. Do NOT select e.g. US. Fn+L gives a "?" if your device is qwertZ, only German is currently supported. Fn+ß gives a "?" 2) For FinQWERTY, choose one of the languages matching your pro1 hardware qwertY/qwertZ You can use either Shift or Fn I strongly recommend the second option.
  16. Yes indeed, important detail, thanks. I actually usually do that. Just updated the primary post here on that.
  17. Here a video trimmed&reduced below the limits YouCut_20191225_143841610.mp4
  18. I have not used Opera for many many years, but could you be a bit more specific in where the keyboard does not work fully? Is it everywhere in the app, or specific places? E.g. searches or entering bookmark names? Is it the stock layout only, or do you see the same using e.g. FinQWERTY ? I just tried to install Opera, and "?" works fine here as far as I can see?
  19. Yes could have put it more politely, But I have always been a bad teacher that hated to repeat the same thing, that was already said (by my self or others) The magic is in the word "random", as it in many contexts are seen as "any", but not in math. IF we had picked a truely random set of all members, and they ALL had answered THEN we could have used it as representative. It is like an election poll, it is NOT a simple task. e.g. If you take an exit poll at 11 am, it is very likely to have an overweight of those that (for what ever reason) are not busy at that time of the day, so you
  20. That only holds IF (and that is a HUGE if here!!!) the subset is representative of the population in question. I'm not going to give you a math course here, look elsewhere.
  21. It is very fundamental statistics, that one can not draw conclusions from a very small dataset.... Theory 1, all the people that got it voted, and only the few of the pre-orders. Theory 2. all the waiting pre-orders have voted, an only a few of those that got the device. Both of these wild theories are HIGHLY unlikely, but the numbers could back either of them. But of course does not make either of them true...
  22. Interesting. What do you mean by "alternative characters" is it anything but A-Z, or is it limited to special characters like sharp S? And in what context is it failing to accept them?
