I have payed my preorder using a Debit card anyway. Just saying it because one not need to have specifically a Credit card in order to pay it, that is a bit different card type. Credit cards are not common in my country, almost everyone uses Debit cards and I don't have any problems paying with it electronically, even Pro1 payment went through.

It is definitely too early to say. They have to concentrate on Pro1 for a while even when it is launched. This is their interest independently if they are working on Pro2 or not. At least for the wide public. Otherwise, I am also would like to know how Pro1 sales are compared to expectations. I hope the best.

A teardown video would be a good thing to see - I think it will be done sooner or later anyway -, but not with prototype hardware. (Software doesn't really matter from this point of view.) Even a not fully-working (faulty) production unit would be good for this purpose anyway.

I am completely agree with you. I am not surprised as everybody of us are happy to have a chance of owning a phone which also has a real keyboard. Also, we had to be fast on ordering because of two main reasons: - to show F(x)tec we are really need this type of hardware - to have a chance of receiving this phone even if there are not enough similar users like us So waiting for a layout when (if it will ever) will be available for ordering seems to be a really bad idea - can be bad for users and even the company. I don't want to compare / refer to an effect I think about right

For me, they even have not received my e-mail about being a Beta tester, so I have completely missed that option - even not received any reply about refused message. I bet their mail server treated my e-mail (sent through my ISP's official mail server) as SPAM and took over the message but has instantly destroyed it. Try to send your message from a "trusted" e-mail provider's own system, it may help reaching them. I mean send it from Gmail's or Yahoo's web interface for example. Me too (Hungary). ...or the sending server's IP address is excluded from the permitted IP range

I am with you. :-) For me, I am thinking of buying another Pro1 if I receive my preorder and I still like it after a few weeks. If we may have some discount, it would help in the final decision - even the existence of additional layout options may help in it. :) You are true. :-)

I hope F(x)tec will also produce Pro2, Pro3... later - and that also means it worth manufacturing earlier devices (Pro1, etc). I also hope they will also make good quality phones which would make most of the users buying from F(x)tec again also if other manufacturers come up with similar phones. On my Motorola G6 (using Android 9), I have Termux installed and I can ssh to another machine. However, it is very frustrating and slow using it with on-screen keyboard, not speaking about the space on the screen that keyboard uses, so it is almost useless that way. Otherwise, the keyboard itself is supported by Android, so with real keyboard, it should work just like on Nokia N900. What I still miss from N900 (as my phone is currently not rooted) finding a proper way of reaching my phone using ssh from a computer. It was very convenient for me on my N900. Unfortunately, it is another problem which may affect users as it is still the 2nd day of this month... I don't know how much time they allow for payment, but I hope they will not cancel pre-orders too early.

The same for me, also QWERTZ and Coupon calculations were right. I hope they have the exact time when payment e-mail was sent and when payment receipt arrived for them that way they would know how "fast" was the user's reaction. However, if I would them, I would treat all payments as fastest which arrived in 24 or 48 hours from the e-mail sent of the specific customer. That way everybody has the chance of completing the payment even if she/he was on the roads that time or working at a company where not reaching private e-mails or having payment issues with the bank, etc. So, that way

I don't know how they are doing it, however, normal transactions are also working a similar way. :) It usually takes some days to go from locked state to real payment, but for user, it seems as payment from the first moment. I remember several years ago (maybe 10-20), I was in my bank and the administrator told me I have X amount of money in my account. I told her it should not be true right now... then she told me they also see locked but still pending transactions on my account - that was the first time I heard about it. Otherwise, I don't see these information on their web interface

I have just received my e-mail, so it seems they are currently near order number of ~11600 as of 10:00 CET. They are working on sending these e-mails. :)

It works using Mastercard, but as far as I know, there is no Paypal option. I am still waiting my chance of paying as it seems they still not reached my pre-order number, which would be much lower if I was not wait for Indiegogo coupon - practically that way I know I would have been received my payment e-mail if they going through pre-orders systematically. Otherwise, I check if there are new messages really often, but unfortunately this moderation delay causes high degradation of interactivity... I don't know why Spamming was good for whoever did it...

I know somebody who has already received payment instructions, so something is happening right now. I am still waiting my own mail anyway. (I think I am a bit later at pre-order number here as I was waiting for Indiegogo coupon code to be able to enter it on pre-order).

It may be a good idea, however, I don't know how complicated for them to program a similar behaviour. However, theoretically, they have the data necessary to separate these users as there should be an (applied but still pending) coupon code in the account of the first group, so it should be easy to filter them. The second group is easier to implement as it should be something like "order number" < "specific number" at some point in time. Anyway, they may give everyone the possibility to pay at once, then write a query which lists everybody in the order of payment date ordered by pre-or

For me, I will pay as soon as possible, which means less than a day or almost immediately when I am not on the roads (which is rare for me but can happen). I am one of the backers of Keyboard Mod anyway. For F(x)tech, I think they are not want to wait too much for payment as some of the pre-orders will not be fulfilled and they want to keep production to be able to fulfill as much orders as possible in the shortest time and it also means that production price not go too high because of delays. I think a few (maybe one or two, or even three) days of delay in payment may be tolerated, but

I doubt a Hungarian layout will be available at all - unfortunately, I don't think a relatively high demand which would make F(x)tec to think about it. For me, I have chose the German layout because it is not shifted. If a Hungarian keyboard would be available, I would chose that, or if an unshifted querty keyboard would exist, I would choose that instead of German one. I would use Hungarian or Hungarian-like keyboard for web browsing / e-mail / chatting and US keyboard for terminal applications - so I would be much happier if at least one of these layouts would be completely the one writ

Do you know what beta testing form mean? Just because I wrote an e-mail on the same day when they sent the initial e-mail about beta testing, but I did not receive any reply or form-like questions... Maybe they didn't even receive my e-mail or it landed directly in spam folder, etc...

@Swond, I also hope the same. I would like to use Sailfish but without Android support it is not a real solution as primary phone... but I will use Pro1 as my primary phone, so for long-term use, I will only use Sailfish if it will support Android apps on Pro1. As of Sailfish / Jolla, I feel it would be a good idea for them to fully support this phone if it will have good feedbacks and reach some critical number of sales.
