  1. Yes, it may be better. Anyway, ordinal Hungarian keyboard also has Y/Z interchanged compared to US keyboard, however, I don't really like that idea. Non-shifted US layout would be the best as at least one layout would be correct that way (which is usable mostly in terminal mode)... but as keyboard positions are not shifted, that would be a better layout. Otherwise, in my current laptop, I use German keyboard because I didn't really feel that I have to change its keyboard to Hungarian one... (I have the layout burnt in my brain and also use English layout often for programming.) Anywa

  3. I may choose Hungarian keyboard and I know somebody who may also interested and preordered this device, but I'm afraid we are really few for FxTec to manufacture a specific keyboard for us. However, I really hope they will offer an unmodified US layout which I would prefer. I mean I think it is a really wrong way to give an offset to keys and leaving unnecessary high gap on the left for normal typing and really inconvenient on the right for special characters. If unmodified keyboard layout would be used, we may use normal Hungarian layout and accient characters can be at normal position
  4. Thank you. Naturally, image quality can change a lot and it depends on the current state of implementation, but basically RAW data should be good enough to provide appropriate end result. (It also depends on hardware implementation like wiring, the noise / filtering of power line and also other possible noises. Also, noise in the image may also depend on configuration or actual settings.) So, mainly if you feel image quality is not bad, that is a good news for us. :-)
  5. @EskeRahn: That sounds good, thank you. Although it may still have some modifications, what is your opinion about the current image quality of the rear camera? Does GPS reception work well - if you know, what are the supported GNSS / GPS systems?
  6. I really miss the feature in my current phone of scrolling by keys instead of touchscreen. I still remember how convenient was to read something on my N900 and use arrow keys for scrolling down the text. That way there is no sidewise movement of the screen content by mistake, no unwanted zoom modifications, no unwanted popup menu of copy text, etc. I often run into these issues in my current phone or at least more often than I want. :) Also, several webpages has mobile view of fixed size which is good sometimes, but not in every case - for example by using it in a car on a bad road. If I
  7. I hope no... maybe for Pro 2.1 (as an "alternative"), but I hope to keep a usable landscape keyboard as main conception and maybe landscape as a "brother" for others who like it the other way. :) Anyway, as far as I know, Blackberry has / had this conception, however, I don't know if they are still actively developing phones with hardware keyboards...
  8. For me, if the battery can be replaced relatively easily (like unscrewing some screws) and can be replaced by an available battery, I would be happy as it means the phone would not be something like a "throwaway phone". I'm also hope a more easily replaceable battery in a theoretical Pro2 later and also SIM1 + SIM2 + microSD simultaneous possibility. I'm also don't like the idea of creating too slim notebooks and now also creating notebooks with internal batteries. I feel that area may also need a revolution soon (back to usable machines). :S
  9. I don't know if the numbers should be shifted together with letters as I don't know which method is more convenient (in practical use). ...but I would like to have a standard keyboard instead of shifted letters and / or shifted numbers. So, for working in a shell (by ssh for example), an unmodified standard keyboard would be highly the best thing to have. Otherwise typing characters like / \ : - would be hard which reduces the usability of the keyboard itself (for working).
  10. I would prefer that layout anyway... as I would not need to learn another placement of my modifier keys for áéő etc and there are also correct placement of keys for working conveniently on a terminal like doing ssh to another machines. So I would vote for an unmodified version of QUERTY layout.
  11. Agree, I would be also happy to have Sailfish running with Android support.
  12. I think no... my Indiegogo ID was nearly 1200 and I have received my voucher on the evening of 2nd of april. So it seems it is currently in progress.
  13. Here is a quote from last Indiegogo update: "If you have already placed a pre-order, please submit your coupon code in this page https://www.fxtec.com/apply-a-coupon-to-an-existing-pre-order/ and we will add the coupon to your existing order."
  14. @EskeRahn, yes, I think search is better to be called using a modifier button. Also, I have used ctrl + shift + x combination on my N900 to call the terminal several times, so a similar function to launch apps is a good thing, although it is a software issue. ...but if a specific key on the keyboard can be programmed to lauch applications (by a combination of that key and another one), especially if the phone has a software written by the team to specify which apps to launch, that would be a good thing to everyone.
  15. Yes, I also like that function. However, I don't know if it is patented some way.
  16. For me, I need a modifier key to be able to type language-specific characters (á,é,í,ó,ö,ő,ú,ü,ű) and their capital version. It is also good to have Alt / Ctrl keys to be used with software. I don't know if SYM or "Search" key is more useful as I don't know their functionality in Android. However, "Search" function may be reachable as a second function of a button - am I right?
  17. Potential Sailfish OS support is a very good news, please don't forget to update about the progress.
  18. @EskeRahn, For me, I don't really need a power adapter - my current phone's adapter is still in its box as I use another, quality one which also has QC3.0 support. So that may be a good question.
  19. Hello, As it has not been answered is 'Various questions to the PRO1 not yet answered' topic, I try to ask it in a separate place... What GNSS (GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / BeiDou) systems are supported be the phone? If you could share what model of sensors are in this device, it would be also good (like the GNSS / Accelerometer / Magnetometer / Gyroscope sensors). Thank you in advance.
  20. One thing which is not clear for me in specifications - what GNSS (GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / BeiDou) systems are supported? Anyway, if you could share what model of sensors are in the device would be also good (like the GNSS / Accelerometer / Magnetometer / Gyroscope sensors).
  21. I have noticed the "Forgot your password" option is not working. (At least e-mail does not arrive.)
  22. @Noir, I agree Today phones are absolutely too slim and a hardware keyboard / sliding mechanism need some space. ...but again, today almost every phone's thickness goes near or below the usability margin - harder to ensure you will not drop the phone and some of them are easily bending. There is no need to create paper-slim phones by getting closer and closer to the usability limit of the phone and technical limit of physics. I think, for a well-equipped phone with correct slider mechanism, 14 mm sounds not a really high thickness...
  23. @Vlada For this reason I used the blue modifier key on N900 for my own keyboard map to write letters which has accents (so áéíóöőúüű). That way I was able to type very fast using its hardware keyboard. I expect a similar behaviour using this device as software keyboards method of waiting / selecting another letters is really uncomfortable.
  24. The worst thing in this forum is that it doesn't show which are the new (unread) messages in a topic and the inability to track which topics have new messages.
  25. I would also like to see official Sailfish OS support.
