Mine shows 4G, which is LTE. It's just how this rom is displaying it, nothing to worry about there.

I've been playing around with this. Think I've settled on 35,0,15,0. The 35 prevents bumping touchscreen when using number row and moves special keys etc from some apps up a bit to more reachable position. The 15 gets the android status bar out of the curve a bit and hopefully helps with being able to hold it w/o touching screen. This isn't enough to get rid of the rounded corners. This is something to play with, a problem that could have been avoided with flat screen.

The indicator reports '4G' for me (not LTE) on Pro¹ Pie.

In windows 3.1 I could go up to 1600x1200, but not with all colors. for 256k colors 1024x768 was the max i think. 16m at 800x600. if I remember right; I could verify if it matters. But that shows dosbox handles SVGA, etc.

It can. But that's enough game testing for me, the main point to see if it was doable with Pro1 & it's keyboard, and yes, other than a few limitations. Missing Esc and F-Key functionality. Like that game needed F12 to exit. Ideally F-keys can be implemented on the number row with the slant arrow or Fxtec key, and Esc key and be made to function as Esc.

Then don't you have to change your pro1 iemi to the one from mule? Which is not quite as simple... or am I missing something else about this mule strategy? Or is your goal to only use LTE and ignore CDMA?

The only thing you need to flash is the modified boot.img, and boot.img has probably not changed in the updates since the zip we were provided. If/when an update changes that, I guess we'll need another root solution or another flashall from fxtec, or maybe it won't matter anyway and we can keep using the old boot.img regardless.

To elaborate, it's not just supertux and android games, what it really matters even more for are DOS games under dosbox, console emulator games, etc. Since the keyboard doesn't recognize two buttons at once, it makes play somewhat difficult (can't run and shoot/jump/turn at same time, etc). Also the key labeled 'Esc' doesn't function as Esc, which is needed in some dos programs/games, etc. And F-keys... not sure if they're implemented somehow already.

Anyone planning to take one into a Sprint store? I'm anxious to know if they'll activate it...

And those tasks you suggest can be accomplished just fine with Android 9, surprisingly enough, until Android 10 is released as an update, at which time you'll probably wonder why you cared because you'll still be able to accomplish the same tasks.

I'm will have to wait for a new OTA to be released before I can test, as I applied 10December update before I rooted.

Lotta simple games on Play store won't go landscape. I have found one built-in solution if you want to force landscape on such apps... put them splitscreen. Obviously not ideal as it makes them small, but does work... Also, in regular settings, setting font small and display small and playing with dpi, you can get a lot more on the screen than default.

I tried GTA for DOS, seems to work fine with keyboard, other than issue present in many games, can't hit two keys simultaneously and that the Esc key isn't actually mapped to Esc, (which I hope are software issues fxtec will fix) so you have to pull up on screen keyboard (from dosbox) to do that, and for F keys also (F1 F2 F3) which I didnt need when I tested this game but have needed in other dos stuff... I've never actually played GTA; shortly after starting it asks if I want low color, high color, or 3D, if I say 3D I get a unable to load DLL fatal error, high color the screen goes bl

It behaves as android back button, not as esc. And other games I've tried, same issue with arrows and another button at the same time, not possible. Certainly hope there's a fix coming for that.

I played around with dosbox and windows 3.1 on pro1, and besides the lack of ESC key, another thing lacking are function keys F1/F3 etc. Ideally that F key could be used with the numbers to make them act as f-keys. Next solution would be to use the left slant arrow for that (while making shift work for the symbols at the same time).

You have to disable all keyboard layouts and leave it set to default. Then slant arrow with P & L get you / & ?.
