    Looks like my Pro1 is stuck in a state where it thinks the physical keyboard is always present. The virtual keyboard won't show up anymore. Rebooting fixed it.

    @netman @EskeRahn I like both ideas very much. However there are a bunch of basic stuff that are not quite working as expected and I will prioritize those over more advanced UI experiments.     I started working on Fulguris Web Browser. It's primarily targeting F(x)tec Pro1. Now available on PlayStore for free.

    Just published Release v0.0.3. Settings were reworked. By default status and tool bar are hidden in landscape and shown in portrait.

    @Luke I understand your frustration concerning the delays but surely you realize our world is facing its toughest challenge since WW2. Most planes world wide are grounded people are dying, grasping for air by the thousand. I'm sure you will find in yourself the strength to wait a few more months for your shiny electronic gadget. In the worst case scenario you loose a few hundred dollars surely that's not such a big deal for someone of your stature. TBH at this stage we could count ourselves lucky if Fxtec survives COVID.     @ahunterYes it works in messenger but not in any chrome or webview browsers I tried. Sometimes the popup in blank sometimes it just shows the add and delete entries.

    How is the quality of the leather? Could you provide pictures? How long did it take to deliver? What's the brand? Could it be sourced from somewhere else?

    That looks awesome. I like that detachable feature too. What about rear camera and mic access? Moreover since this is detachable I wonder if you could use the P20 Pro variant of the inner case together with the P30 Pro variant of the outer case to get larger camera cutout.

    There is a new kid on the block: Fulguris. Nothing much specific to Pro1 yet. Expect soon Pro1 friendly keyboard shortcuts.

    Yes it should but some development is needed. I guess you would notably need to check if you are in a phone call to avoid locking the phone while calling for instance. It's usually straight forward and more reliable that the proximity sensor.

    I respectfully disagree. Used my Samsung S7 Edge for years without ever burning it. Then again I'm often using low brightness levels.

    Actually a lot of the stuff I was trying to do on the DuckDuckGo code base is already available with Lightning.

    Just re-published that custom DuckDuckGo v0.0.1. That status bar should now remain hidden in landscape most of the time.

    Just published a DuckDuckGo build that's hiding the status bar in landscape. Well that build was a little rushed so the status bar pops back when opening the menu for instance.

    Another plus for DuckDuckGo is that the code base is also available and can be built easily on Windows using Android Studio. Building Chromium is nowhere that straight forward unfortunately. It means that customising DDG for F(x)tec Pro1 should be relatively easy. Notably on my task list: Adding support for keyboard shortcuts. Adding option to hide the status in landscape.

    So it looks like it is using Chrome Web View rather than Chromium directly. That would explain why it does not feel as snappy as Bromite or other Chromium based browser. Going through Web View comes at a slight performance cost I guess. Still DDG is the best landscape keyboard experience IMHO. Even though shortcuts like Ctrl+T don't work there.
