Although I currently don't have a Pro1 and I can't imagine *ever* having anything approaching 20 tabs open at once, I just used my slab phone to subscribe. A small enough effort to support this. 🙂

On the other hand, I'm happy someone finally made a keyboard slider for someone with big hands and thumbs like me. I hated my work issued BBs-- I could never type on them, I also remember rejecting the original Droid way back when because the keyboard was just too tiny. I do hope FxTec thrives enough to get another model for you folks who want a smaller keyboard, but this is the most comfortable phone keyboard I have ever used.

Because I paid to ship from US to UK rather then they just shipping me a part at their expense. 😉 They will pay for the return trip for my phone.

You are right, of course, especially as more of these cases pop up. They may want to go and do a deeper cause analysis. I don't begrudge them that. It's inconvenient (and a little more expensive) for me, but I can see why they are doing it. Ran into no problems with shipping to the UK... no new extra tariff on my end, don't know about their end.

I do too. They said something to the effect of they had no way to know for sure that would solve the problem. Sounds like a change in policy to me. I worry a little bit because the problem is sometimes intermittent.

I got 4, almost 5 days of my glorious Pro1 and then the demons came back yesterday, the same day support asked me to send it to them. So my Pro1 has gone off to the UK and I will be sadly keyboardless for a while for the first time in a year (except that I haven't really been able to use it much for 6 weeks anyway.) 😞

Sooo... back on topic (but AICP is still going to come up)... As I had indicated above, things kept getting worse and worse. I referred to them as demon possessions because the touches would end up firing off in bunches, launching apps, pulling down the notification shade, launching things from there, etc. It went from happening after 2 hours of using my Pro1 to 1 hour after to 5-20 minutes of use with only turning off the phone for a while worked. @tdm A small request. Right now the logo key does nothing. Unless there is already a keyboard shortcut I don't know about, can you have the logo key be "Home"? I tried doing it with that key mapper app, but just can't seem to figure out how to get keymapper working. That's my fault-- but it would be nice, since it is really the only mapping I care about, if it could be natively available.

I tested with a 128GB SDXC used in my laptop which reported itself as exFAT and the Pro1 read it fine and wrote all it's default folders onto it. 😄 So I think it's good.

Yes. The Pro1X is simply a Pro1 with (if chosen) more memory and a different colored case. They have done no redesign of any sort here. Of course, I am just basing this on converging evidence (I'm not from FxTec), but I have very high confidence that what I say is true.

Actually, if you are not doing anything fancy with Magisk, you just flash the zip, just like addonsu. I don't even open the manager, although it installs it. Works just like addonsu for me (although I am on AICP and not Lineage right now). I get the flashable zip from here: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/

I forgot to add, I am puzzled by system and vendor being commented out. You need those. I almost suspect they included one of their test batch files by mistake, I would restore those.

I'm no expert here, but based on the first factory image files from October 2019, I don't think you need the set the active partition (and you certainly don't need to set both active) because you are sending the same files to both partitions. Really doesn't matter where you boot to. Also, in the Oct 2019 bat file flashing "userdata.img" is commented out and there is no such file. I would try commenting that out and just doing fastboot erase userdata, which is what I added to the October bat file when I used it to flash the October 2019 stock. They also have mentioned renewing their contracts, which I think is a positive thing. Their communication is still pretty bad, but I have some hope for the future as long, as @VaZso mentioned, new Covid difficulties don't arise. I think the batch of Pro1s that will be shipped this month will fill most of any previous orders of long standing (and I suspect fulfill the ten Pro1X orders promised for Xmas). Obviously, I don't have any idea what the cut-off will be. I would expect, if there are still a lot of Pro1s ordered but not fulfilled, we would see a shipment in Jan or Feb as they gear up

Bump. This may be just me. My Pro1 is currently almost useless because of ghost touches-- I can only get an hour or two after leaving it off a while before it returns to demon possession level (awaiting new display). But I would like to know if there is a keyboard shortcut that is supposed to wake up Pro1? Thanks.

@tdm and anyone else using AICP, I am having some trouble waking it up with out the lower button and am wondering if it is just me (always a good theory). If the lock screen shows, pressing space bar always unlocks and takes me home (I have swipe unlock, no security). If the screen is off, pressing the spacebar once does nothing. Pressing it multiplebtimes sometimes wakes the phone up and unlockes it, but not always. Is there a keybord shortcut I'm supposed to be using to wake the Pro1 or has that not been added yet. Are you using the charger it came with? If the battery got very low, it may not respond well to other chargers. How long did you leave it plugged in. Id leave it a few hours and see what happens.
