  1. Can't wait to try it when my Pro1 gets back from London (on it's way). More beers coming after payday Wed.
  2. If you are not rooted, Accu Battery is a useful app. It is not as good as Battery Charge Limit as it doesn't do the slowdown and stop, but you can set an alarm for a certain charge limit. Unfortunately, not great for charge while you sleep, but cheaper and less easy to lose than the Chargie. πŸ˜‰

Hoping FedEx to US does better.

    Pro1 Just died.

Just got an email from FxTec that my Pro1 was repaired by replacing the display and is on it's way back to me. So, one month. Pretty good, especially given lockdown. Thank you, FxTec!
  5. Just to tie my story up, just got an email from FX that they have replaced my display and are shipping it back to me (FedEx to US). Only a month, I'm very happy! πŸ˜„ I was worried with lockdown it would take longer. Thank you, FxTec.
  6. So you would rather get a blue phone than a black phone? Or you would like to pay more to upgrade memory? Because the Pro1x is not a "newer phone." They both have the same parts and specs and are manufactured as needed, not stockpiled in some warehouse, so the Pro1 isn't "outdated" compared to the Pro1X. Just saying. πŸ˜‰
  7. Tony, just so you know, this is a user to user forum. Will try and invoke @Erikto help, but messages here are not necessarily seen by the FxTec folks.
  8. Someone else will have to answer. I've only done fastboot on Windows, but I'd be very surprised if you can't. Hopefully one of the Linux folks will be along.
  9. Here are the instructions for restoring to stock. And here is an invite to the unoficial Discord for FxTec. A lot of good people there to talk to: https://discord.com/invite/pfUkxQ9
  10. Well, you are entitled to your opinion, and, no doubt, your frustration, but Fxtec are neither crooks nor "horrible people," as their history has proved. Not great at communicating, yes. But the phone is fantastic, you will get it (I'm guessing from the same factory run as the Spring 1Xs), and it won't matter that it doesn't have the most cutting edge specs. If you want to see if it can be changed to a 1X (which would just mean the blue casing as the only difference) or upgraded to the version with more memory , ask them via email. Can't hurt.
  11. Yes. You don't download OTAs as a file, you get them from the system updater. I've never used the updater, so not much help there. I would expect if you are on the 03 Nov version, the updater would update it. If you are on the December version, then nothing should happen until @tdmupdates.
  12. Yes, the newest flashable version is from the link in the OP. The post hasn't been updated to change the date and the file doesn't include the date in the filename, but it is the latest version, newer than 13 Nov. It is from 06 December (I dated my copy when I downloaded it).
  13. Motos are great cheap phones. I'm using a G8 Power right now that I got on sale from Moto US a while back. The worse things about Moto phones is their USB ports seem to lose their grip after a lot of use. My G8 power would be a fine phone if it only had a real keyboard. πŸ˜‰

I'm sooo happy for you and sooo jealous. ☺️

Honestly, it isn't that easy to brick your phone installing Lineage. What happened to PokeParadox didn't seem to be related to flashing other than by coincidence. Believe me, if flashing were dangerous, my Pro1 would be in London... Oh, wait, nm... πŸ˜‚
  16. I think you mean 2020. I think Chen and Eske were the only ones with a Pro 1 in May of 2019. πŸ˜„
  17. Not at all. There is no device specific Gapps for Lineage. Go to Opengapps and pick what size package of Gapps for the version of ndroid your Lineage is compatible with and download and flash.
  18. I'm pretty sure I received mine Dec 10th, 2019. It is currently at FxTec for a problem it developed, but I still love it and am going through severe withdrawal until it returns. πŸ˜‰ I even invested in a Pro1X.
  19. As one who has a second phone to be my dedicated phone, when I see a full slide out keyboard, I think pocket computer first. πŸ˜‰ I do understand the frustration of people who do need one device to be both. Luckily for me, I only really need a pocket phone when I am away from home and I am at home most of the time still.
  20. Sadly, this is the most common breakage with Verizon, even if you did have it working once. You seem to have tried everything anyone else has suggested. I'm sorry, but I suspect you will need to switch, AT&T works very nicely if you have good coverage where you are. I gave up and took an even more radical solution. Got a Moto phone to be calls and text only (on Verizon) and made my Pro1 a PDA. πŸ˜‰ So, yeah, basically, what was already said in the Verizon thread.
  21. We haven't had an official update since the New Years one. As for refunding, I'm not sure, the way IGG crowdfunding works, that refunds will be offered. From a post on IGG: Knowing them, I suspect they would issue refunds if they couldn't deliver, but honestly crowdfunding doesn't even require that. As IGG likes to point out, it is an investment without a guarantee. I'm not worried. I think they will deliver, but may not be able to make the target of March. I'm willing to be patient once more.
  22. If by "plan" you are referring to the "Timeline" on the IGG page, you'll notice no bubbles have been filled in since October. πŸ˜„
  23. In other words, is it any different than what is described here?
  24. As I said in another thread, I'm a bit more optimistic than this. I will be surprised if they hit March, but I don't expect anything on the scale of 6 months to a year unless there is another global shutdown. I do think 2021 is different from 2020. Of course, I have no particular facts to base this projection on,

    Spare Parts

The parts are also "scheduled" for March delivery (estimated). I'm guessing the spare parts are ordered at the same time as the parts for all the phones.
