Android 10 seems to present some additional challenges with the external SD card. With Open Camera, I had to go to "more camera settings" as usual, but unlike with Android 9, I had to toggle on "Use Storage Access Framework." Then it allowed me to give permission for the "Save Location" to access a folder on my SD card and now Open Camera is saving to the SD card again. Google seems to be determined to make things as difficult as possible for using SD cards. Grrrr

Odd. It has storage permission on both phones. The only other thing I can think of is both phones are on versions of Android 10. Have you tested on Android 10?

I've never used it before, but the export and import bookmarks seems broken. When I go to "Export bookmarks to backup" I get "Error Sorry, bookmarks could not be exported!" with an OK button. I tried it on my Moto G8 as well, so it isn't just the Pro1 nor is not being on stock.

It installed fine for me sideloading, and I found the new keyboard settings, but they don't include anything about the keyboard backlight and I can't find any other setting for it. Needless to say, the backlight on the keyboard still isn't coming on by default.

@tdmI must be doing something wrong. It says it downloads, says install. I tap install, it does something quickly and then gives the prompt to reboot. I reboot and I can't find any new controls (no backlight) and information says I still have 02 NOV build and updater says install again. I've never done OTAs, so maybe I'm missing a step. Anyone else tried this?

Notice, not surprising, the play store version is one version behind the version I have, Just curious, what is/are the in-app purchase(s). Just a support option? It doesn't have ads, right?

Assuming you are using the default AOSP virtual keyboard, the vibrate on keypress toggle in in the preferences for that keyboard.

I raised that issue above and tdm said he would look into it.

Okay, I had used the zip for 20.4 add it seemed to fail, though I can't swear I didn't type something wrong. I just tried 21.0 and it worked just fine flashed from recovery! Yay! I'm rooted.

Boy, I am enjoying AICP. Pretty much have everything I want without root, though I hope a simple SU option is coming. I tested the Magisk zip that works flashed via recovery in Lineage 16 and it doesn't work. I don't like magisk enough to do the whole patch the boot dance. Really, I just want SU, like addonSU. @tdmam I overlooking a buried setting or is there no keyboard backlight in this ROM. Not a big deal as I don't type often in the dark, but I would like it to work. Very solid, stable ROM so far! Reminds me a lot of Dirty Unicorns.

So far, I'm really loving AICP, but I haven't really done much with it yet. I'll spend the day with it tomorrow. Did a clean wipe (The nice thing of having split off phone and Android Auto functions into another phone). I can tell you wifi worked fine. Right when I was doing initial setup, my phantom screen touches fired off-- the physical keyboard was a lifesaver as, in portrait, it started typing a bazillion character password because the phantom touches went right across the soft keyboard. I was sort of waiting to hear if an SU would become available, but I don't have to. I'll need to wipe to go to LOS 17.1 anyway if only because I will be changing to opengapps. So I might as well make a stop at AICP on the way. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Thanks, but I actually work split screen a lot and my real solution is to ban portrait only apps to my Moto G8 because, like everything else on that phone, including the phone itself, I don't use them very often. 😄 My serious work apps, where I am inputting a lot of text, don't seem to have any problems with landscape. Email, text editing, outliner, browsing, spreadsheets, terminal/SSH, file manager... all fine.

You could always really confuse people and merge the posts at the end of this thread. 😄

Me too. Don't really like Magisk. I just want SU, not trying to hide root or get fancy.

IGG has nothing to do with warranties. They guarantee nothing, including whether the device/perk gets made or gets delivered. F(x)Tec has clearly stated each Pro1x will have the same 2 year warranty as the Pro1.

In the video, I squeeze the top part in landscape, again the part of the screen that would be next to and just above the camera button. It is just that spot on the screen. No other does it. Yow, it just went crazy again on it's own, When I set it off it's over quickly. When it does it spontaneously, lasts longer.
