  1. WiFi Hotspot works fine here. I'm on the 7/27 Nightly (official)... I don't have a lot of reason to use WiFi Hotspot anymore since I am home so much, so never tried on earlier versions. But it sure works fine now.

  4. The keyboard itself doesn't have the functionality, it comes down to the keyboard software you pair it with. Swiftkey provides the said functionality.

  6. I am pleased to announce that the Pro1 has received official support in LineageOS 16.0. You can find the builds and installation instructions on the official LineageOS Downloads page. Please note that LineageOS does not include the proprietary Google apps (aka. "gapps", Play Store, etc.), nor a "su" binary. These are "extras" or "add-ons". You may use any appropriate gapps package for Android Pie. I personally recommend MindTheGapps which can be found here. LineageOS maintains an official su add-on and a couple other extras here. Note the Pro1 is arm64 and be sure

  9. I only had similar problems (on stock) when I had an application installed which monitors some key combinations. I felt the keystrokes are lagging, I had missing characters and so on. After uninstalling it, all of my problems with keyboard are gone. So try to look if you have similar application(s) installed.

  10. I'm experiencing some keyboard issues with LOS. I use Google Hangouts a lot for IM. Sometimes charcters aren't registered. Sometimes words are repeated. Spcae isn't registered most often. When I take a look at my previous post I notice it happeneqed before. THis is a good example... WTF is that q (happeneqed) doing there!? There is no way I could have typed that by accident. So, anyone else having keyboard issues? Also, shortcuts to special.l characters keep popping up. See the image. I have absolutely no idea as to why... Ow and btw (off-topic), the coating on my "e" is dammaged

  12. Just updated to newest Nightly build. Turns out I was running test11 and not 16 as I said above. I also did wipe because wanted to have a fresh start and see how many of my existing bugs/issues will follow me... Update went well and everything works... well, almost everything. Shortly after update I realized why I hadn't done this before; Because of losing MagiskHide. I know this is not the favorite topic of our main Lineage developer, but is there still a way to get 'ctsProfile: true' or some other working way to hide root in the official build?

  13. Encryption is specified in the fstab, /vendor/etc/fstab.qcom. Unfortunately, there is no way to edit the fstab on stock due to Android security measures. You should be able to successfully edit the fstab on Lineage.

  17. USA telecom company abusing their users? Just another day at USA telecom. /me still laughs in 2G Yes. Where I live, 2G network is still the near-total coverage, 3G is available wildly and 4G only available in major cities.

  18. Lots of posts in the last few hours so I'm going to do a bulk reply. here... @Wasmachineman_NL @DieBruine the Pro1 has not licensed aptX and the required aptX libraries should not be installed. Therefore aptX should not work. I am not familiar with the meaning of "HD audio" as it relates to BT. Perhaps someone can enlighten me? @EskeRahn @FlyingAntero the new build is larger because Nolen added "firmware" to the build. I'll have to look into this to see exactly what was added and where. Also, the changelog does not update exactly in sync with the builds. I'm not s

  19. "Mistakenly" sent out a message to try to get people to re-sign their 2-year contracts in the midst of a pandemic where connectivity is crucial... totally a mistake. I'm sorry but I have zero faith in any US/Canadian carrier not trying to screw with their customer base on a daily basis.

  21. Samsung is using its own Fast Charging technology which may not be compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. I can confirm that my Pro1 does not charge with Samsung charger (Fast Charging) but my Xperia XZ1 Compact (QC 3.0) does not charge either. Both work great with QC 3.0 charger and Sony "normal" charger. See more information from here. Quick charging technologys are not compatible very often and even the cable can an issue. Pixel 4 does not charge with Huawei for example. https://www.androidauthority.com/state-of-usb-c-870996/

  22. Only the included charger works, I've tried two other Samsung branded ones, they're the same. So it's not a bad charger, they both work on other phones. why doesn't every usb c charger work with this phone

  23. That sounds great. Am having some bluetooth issues as well as experiencing the phone being sluggish overall. So was thinking other OS's might adress these issues. As well as being better options in the long run, with a bit more dedicated developers? Anyhow, looks like it'll be Lineage OS for me. Thanks a lot.

  24. Just a quick note: It finally worked for me! I just ignored the device for 4 or 5 weeks, supposedly letting the battery drain completely just like suggested above. Then, I held down both volume keys and the power key before inserting a standard USB cable. I let go of the power key after a while and the QUSB__BULK device appeared in the Windows device manager. The flash tool detected the device and flashing a stock firmware image worked on the first try! Thanks to everyone!
