Hi Guys Is there any option, app or solution that will keep the pro1 unlocked while in the keyboard slideout mode? its one of the option E7 had that would keep it unlocked while sitting on table and touching screen will wake it up to home screen5 points

I have successfully flashed LineageOS on my recently arrived Pro1. People here were right, it really is more polished than stock. Good job devs! A few issues have arisen. Here's what I can remember off the top of my head: * An app from an airline points program doesn't work. I suspect it to be SE-Linux/Privacy Protection related. Confirmed working on other phones (Moto One with stock firmware, Priv on stock FW) -- App is called "Smiles" from "Gol Linhas AΓ©reas" - com.pontomobi.smiles * Choppy graphics do occur. Curiously enough, happens exactly after I run the aformentioned app4 points

Pull quick settings down and tap the pencil looking icon on the bottom right to edit.3 points

If there is no option within the launcher's settings, it might still be a part of the beta program. Within the launcher settings check for updates also, that likes to force with the MS servers for updates rather than the play-store. Note: the app titled 'preview' is not the same as the normal version's beta program. EDIT: I should have been a bit more clear: in the launcher settings -> home screen -> more3 points

I wrote code to rate limit the fingerprint reader in order to reduce that eagerness. But since the fingerprint hardware driver is closed source, I had to put this between the driver and Android. This means the fingerprint driver is still detecting your finger and (trying to) pass that information up, but I'm discarding it. It is possible that the driver has some limit where it disables itself. Or perhaps I made some mistake in my rate limit code.2 points

Just flashed Lineage to my device today and a couple things i wanted to note. 1. My bootloader came from the factory unlocked, so i didn't need to unlock the device. Seems like maybe the last batch never had their bootloaders locked, which might be an issue for those that need to run apps that verify the bootloader is locked. 2. When flashing open_gapps-arm64-9.0-mini-20200808.zip i saw a message saying "Signature Verification Failed. Install Anyway?". I didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the instructions, but clicking Yes let everything continue as expected. Everything all s2 points

Nice! I'll have some fun later. Some of my apps have been sticking in quick tiles I didn't know about. π2 points

I use opengapps-mini no problem... I also like choose what you want, and that its updated (no hour of updates like mindthegapps), and that it can replace AOSP apps.2 points

I see this issue. But my device is preproduction so I thought it might be fixed in production devices. Guess not. Does this happen on stock? I haven't run stock in..... well, ever, really.1 point

I'd take the phone off your hands if the warranty is transferrable. It wouldn't make sense otherwise.1 point

Thanks. Did the same exact configuration change (enabling WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK mixed mode via router options), after that the Pro1 and the router made ammends π€£1 point

As for autocapitalization, it seems to be some high-level mechanism. I noticed that when I'm writing im in the Messaging app, it's automatically corrected to I'm, even when I'm using Polish for both hardware and software keyboard. This doesn't happen in some other apps, such as Conversations. Btw. it appears that on my old OnePlus 3 running LineageOS 14.1 there's an option for autocapitalization when I plug a USB keyboard, however, this option does nothing. There's no such option on LineageOS 16.0 on the Pro1.1 point

You might try checking the security settings on your router. That seemed to work in the case in this thread, though not clear why.1 point

Having Tasker set the display timeout based on keyboard out state seems viable if nothing else comes along.1 point

Lineage has a quick settings tile to keep the screen on. It looks like a coffee cup. Not exactly the same but it might work for you.1 point

Optimally with an option allowing the screen to time out, but without locking.1 point

For those like me, whose phone is stuck "Checking for updates" of the android system forever without results- The following fix worked for me: I checked the option to "automatically download when on wifi" in update settings. Then the check lead to immediate results and I could download all updates until 20200707. However: After the update, I wanted then to untick that tickbox. In 20200707, I cannot access the update settings menu anymore. When I click on settings, I just get a white page....1 point

Or you could just read this topic... Especially the highlighted post. Put some effort in it.1 point

Exactly the reason behind it π. I used to be an avid XDA member. Pfff took a break for a few years. A month ago I had to fight with a FairPhone 3. That thing on LOS is Hell. Before you mentioned it I hadn't even thought of all the different OG-packages. For some reason just flashed MTG without any thought. A comparison is in order... Now to schedule it π .1 point

Great abridged version of the instructions! For those somewhat used to flashing but maybe didn't do it for a fewa years now (my case with a Priv), these quick simple stpes helped a lot. Flashing now! Is OpenGapps still not working? I like their concept of "choose what you want" from GApps. I've downloaded MindtheGapps as well just to be on the safe side but would prefer the larger "stock" collection from OpenGapps as I understand it'd come with the Google Camera app as well..?1 point

Hi all, I just got a nice phone protector from MediaDevil this week (I found the link here on the forum) : https://mediadevil.com/collections/apple-iphone-7-accessories/products/artisanwallet-wallet-pouch-case?variant=38665797777 I prefer the "wallet" shape to a simple "pouch" because it provides 2 layers of leather on the screen. I don't want to try a drop test but I hope it absorbs more shocks! The black variant was the only option with "size 4" in stock. Dimensions are good but it's a bit tight to get in/out the phone easily and quickly. I hope the leather will fit better ove1 point

Yes I understood you and tried the 2.4 separate from the 5 (sorry if I didn't sound like that). As for the security on my netgear router/modem, the ones I had listed in the previous comment were the only options available.1 point

Just thought I'd resurrect my solution for all the newcomers. I hate cases and, going back to my Palm PDAs, have never used cases. However, the back of the Pro1 is pretty slick. So I put a black matte textured skin on and it gives it just enough grip that I never drop the phone in the first place (haha famous last words. π ) The skin is very snug and months later shows no wear or coming loose at the edges. Perfect solution for me, YMMV.1 point

There's still a wifi issue that causes rebooting and it has happened while I sleep. Less these days because I set it to only use the 5ghz band. But if you alternate with 2.4 try using only 5?1 point

Not exactly a protective case, but it sure does add some texture, This is a matte black DBrand skin intended for a Note 10. Didn't have to do a lot, The camera fit fine and the microphone hole was *almost* right. I trim the width and that's about it. My production skills with trimming are not the best, but the matte black color hides most of my flaws. It definitely gives the phone more grip while leaving the nice feel of the phone in your hand. I wasn't brave enough to try a cutout for the F(x) Tec logo. π1 point

I was thrilled to receive my new Pro1. I had ordered it in November 2019 and patiently waited until it showed up on my doorstep earlier this week. I excitedly opened the box and inserted my Verizon SIM card. It did not work at first but I followed the troubleshooting suggestions on the forum and got Verizon to work for about 10 seconds before it stopped. I followed the suggestions again and again got Verizon to work for about 10 seconds and then gone. WiFi worked great. Unfortunately I need a phone with reliable network service for my work so as excited as I was to have a physical ke0 points
