  1. Well we have seen the mechanism. As I described here the inventor himself struggles with it in their own presentation video (from 01:00 to 01:20 here). But obviously they might have improved that since, but we are to see that first....
  2. There is a big IF in this. You are assuming that they are going to produce to stock. You could be right. But I wouldn't if it was me. I personally would not at all be surprised if once all pre-orders are handled, they will pile enough orders, before they produce a new batch for those - plus a few extras. I don't think they will want to produce more than they feel quite certain they can sell (plus what they need for guarantee repairs & swaps) If my guess here is right, I would expect that the more the order flow slows down, the less beyond the already ordered they will produce.
  3. I have blown away some dirt (pocket lint?) and given the two sides of the top end of the support plate on my retail unit a tiny drop of silicone (the type you can use for the rubber sealing on car doors). Opened and closed it a dozen of times, and removed the excess with a paper tissue. And it moves smoothly again.
  4. (lineage-16.0-20200928-nightly-pro1-signed.zip installed smoothly, with and without addonsu)
  5. Interesting, Unfortunately It seems to only record in the left hand channel from the right hand microphone when selected... 😖
  6. I have had similar experiences. I normally either use it with a headset or hands-free on a desk though, so rarely I use it as a classic phone next to the ear. I have installed an app to automatically detect to switch to hands-free, and actually thought it was the app that was buggy, but could be something with the sensor-driver...
  7. Ah, yes, unfortunately this is stock only. I have tried to copy and sideload the apk to Lineage, it does not work. 😥 On Stock you can also see an action installing "KeyEvent display", as stock sends a key sequence (Ctrl+F4/F5 if I remember right) on close/open, but it is captured deeper in Lineage, so not as easy to check, Maybe @tdm got at test-tool? You do get a keyevent sequence activating the other hall-sensor on Lineage also though. (Detect case lid close/open, slightly different sequence than stock).
  8. There is both the sensor, and what is supposed to read the sensor. Try the factorykit build in test (but look out for triggering the emergency call) Here my translated list. See top of thread on how to open.
  9. I was referring to those that stated they have been waiting for a year. Though you are over nine month and that is sad too. I do not know how deep the stack is. The latest info we got with a number was with the large batch that was partly blocked by the Covid, and here they said they had reached 70% of the pre orders. But they used this complex nation-based system to decide who was next, so hard for us outside the system to guess what this means for your particular order in your 'national stack'. But they have said a new batch was expected in September so hopefully you will be part of that one
  10. Well if you go to Settingsâ–ºSystemâ–ºLanguage & Inputâ–ºPhysical keyboardâ–ºKeyboard shortcuts helper You will see that it officially is not Ctrl but the magnifying glass. Something somewhere maps Ctrl+Space to this. However it is not limited to the Pro1 see e.g. https://github.com/klausw/hackerskeyboard/issues/142
  11. I just made a completely fresh install of Lineage, and here Ctrl+Space does NOT cycle through the languages selected, so it can be turned off or altered somewhere (do not know where though) Please ignore... Only selected one... 🙄
  12. It is actually not a physical contact but a small magnet that affects a Hall-sensor when closed. (The magnet is roughly under the right Shift key)
  13. You are not limited to a single layout, you can easily change. So if one is better than the other for different purpose, swapping is simple (Ctrl-Space in stock). I swap between Danish and English (and got a few others for testing too)
  14. Are you on stock Android or LineageOS_ On Lineage fewer satellite systems are in use than under stock (Mentioned in the Lineage thread). I must admit I have not really used the GPS for ages, as I upgraded my old car to another old car that got GPS build in, in May. So can not say if things has changed with the latest updates. ADD: Just turned location on, on stock. It started 300Km away where I last used it months ago, but within 10 seconds outdoors I got a fix within less than 10m
  15. I noted that the ones mentioned are qwertZ, that are currently also marked as "out of stock" for new orders, I have no idea why they seem to have troubles getting more of those, but that could explain it.
  16. I do not think that F(x)tec ever planned to produce more than what was ordered. Perhaps a small overhead buffer, primarily for any needed warranty replacements, but I never heard that they would carry an extensive stock. There MIGHT be some dealers that want to take that chance though. We know that a few dealers had bought a handful for stock a while back - but they were sold out practically immediately. I do not know if any dealers currently got a stock.
  17. I don't think it can from internal, but if an sdcard is installed a second option is presented
  18. Maybe a silly question, but has it installed an SDcard?
  19. The bug is in the viewer, or the transport-layer ignoring or throwing away the exif rotation info. See this:
  20. Quite a number of users usually make a comment or pose a question when they have received their device. So I think the questions on the status of the announced "Early September batch" is quite reasonable to pose on September the 23.
  21. Last time I used the build in was on Gingerbread, if I remember correctly that far back... 😂 (Textra also handles the receipts well on SMS sent to multiple recipients in Bulk mode)
  22. I meant on the router, so we can rule that out then. Poor signals are always problematic as the phone needs to send with high power for the other end to see it.
  23. Try forcing it to 2.4GHz, that made a HUGE difference with my old router. But also use the statistics tab to see what is actually using the battery. It COULD be rogue programs, that are doing something in the background when you think it is idle. (The graph is from my PreProduction unit with no phone functionality, so use it for various tests only - currently installing latest LOS)
  24. This must be magisk. This is from a rooted Pro1 on same LOS. From 98% to 12% in almost eight days (less three hours), so about 0.46%/h
