Yes! Stop fooling around and hit flash. Not like you're going to make it any more broken.

@tdm i'm using this as my daily. I'll report back any bugs.
-
Very annoying, just to ask are you running the latest version of stock? First i've heard of a GSM carrier whitelisting popular phones for VOLTE. If you are, I would suggest getting root and trying to enable VOLTE using the various patches out there.

For what it's worth, the only hardware issue I had was with the USB-C cable. Bought a new one and it's all good. After several months of usage I'm still enjoying the phone. The new pro x looks like they took my suggestions of a bezel around the edges and adjusting the keyboard for f and j keys fall naturally on my thumbs (hope this is the case). The pro 1's experience was a 7/10 for me. Just a lot of customization that needed to be done to get it to a point I'm happy with.

Once upon a time, when keyboards dominated the mobile landscape software was designed to work effectively with them. Unfortunately, with the rise of Asian consumers demanding phablets because they're too poor for laptops left us with prioritizing screen size and eliminating everything. Now we're stuck with a mish mash of designs tailored for a screen only world. A few browsers (like Kiwi) at least have chrome style shortcuts. In fxtec's defense, there's only so much they can do before we're butting up against a wall of design choices that neglect enthusiasts like us.

Kiwi Browser is the only browser that fits your needs. 1. Ctrl+T opens a new tab. 2. CTRL+L goes to the address bar. 3. Supports all chrome based extensions. Download nano ad blocker and defender for the perfect desktop 4. Google Amp remover, night mode, and webpage night mode Not to knock the work of the fulguris team. Kiwi supports all of chrome's pc shortcuts as well as browser extensions. That's an all around perfect browser. You'll find it on the playstore.

How intrusive are the curved screen accidental presses?

It's annoying but not the end of the world. Use EdgeNull if you like stock. LineageOS has it built in like Eske said. -
So here's an update on Verizon. Service works again. There appears to be a local outage that that is rolling around sporadically. I'm going to chalk this up to the extreme weather out west.

Glad I'm not alone. I'm having problems connecting now too. It was working fine all of yesterday but late last night it started acting funny. I don't have any signal now. It finds it and then just drops. No amount of tomfoolery will get it to stay. Thankfully I have a T mobile sim for red pocket and I can switch to that. Big shame!
-
Probably doesn't help, but this issue doesn't affect me in stock. I sadly switched back during test 21 or 22 for LOS so I didn't have to deal with this issue as well as others. I haven't gone back to the official build yet. Will give it a shot sooner, but I figured I'd let y'all know.

Zero issues with my pro 1 on versions volte. Once it was set it hasn't come undone. Been going on about 3 months now without issue. This has been with stock and updated as fixes are made available.

The wifi reception is disappointing. I ultimately got some power ethernet adapters and ran new wifi routers since I live in a flat with a bazillion neighbors with poorly configured wifi. Now, I own the wifi channels!
-
For starters, I would up your call volume to max. There may have been an update to the phone app via playstore.
-
Yeah, these posts always confuse me. If TWRP is so important, maybe research what you're buying? Or better yet, use a root back up. Weird
-
OH absolutely. It will basically 4g everywhere and LTE with more bands will be a dream!
-
It's the unlock command but unlock is swapped for lock.
-
Weird, I can't believe sprint has specific sim cards for specific phone models. 3G CDMA needs to hurry up and die already.
-
Specifically, what I meant is that if you have 2 wireless networks appearing like this: HomeWifi HomeWifi-5g Go into your router settings and switch it so there's one SSID for both your 2.4 and 5ghz networks. Next set up your password as just WPA2-AES. Don't let it include WPA. If you want a good router, I second the Archer C7. Super cheap, great specs, and well supported
-
Do you have another phone with a wifi Hotspot? Try that instead. Also go onto the router and set it up so both the 5g and 2.4ghz channel names match as one. See if that helps.
-
You should be able to use a text editor to adjust these since you already have root.
-
I've been running the latest version of stock on Verizon for well over three months now without issue. Are you on the latest update?
-
LTE is going to be as good as 3g in the whole of the country. Grab a cheapo mule phone to faux activate and plug it in that way. It should work without issues. Just don't forget to enable volte mode.

FxTec was really accommodating for my screw up. It's really nothing fancy at all and uses the same EDL paths that @tdm's restore tool does. Really, FxTec didn't have to help me at all and this was my screw up alone. They went above and beyond, more so than any other OEM and for that I am greatly appreciative. I guess the moral of this story is, if you do something stupid, Papa Chen cares about you and will do what it takes to fix it (within reason).
-
Yup exactly like mine. Contact support, they'll take care of you. It's really easy to fix but must be done by the OEM.
