  1. Thanks for the update. I'm a little sad that my restore and lock scheme won't work, but that was a long shot anyhow. I was hoping to be able to receive a device with unlocked bootloader, flash magisk, use root to restore backups, remove magisk, lock bootloader.
  2. I'm actually back to using the find7, as my moto z died waiting for the pro1. As far as I know, you could also not really brick the find7. The big issue is people not knowing what they are doing. Are 4gb worth it on a 128gb device?
  3. I quite like the seamless updates ... and coming from a device where I needed to reflash the partition information (Oppo find7) I can tell that the forums are full of people who either bricked their device or failed to switch.
  4. DId I miss a bunch of bugs? with bluetooth only aptx (one of many audio codecs) doesn't seem to be working -> easy software update hdmi -> probably software google pay (not play) not working, because the certification is not finished -> easy software update sensor issues -> probably one selinux setting (explains the reboot) -> easy software update screen freezes -> probably software
  5. Sagem MW3026 -> (maybe) Sagem myX-5 -> Siemens SX1 -> Nokia 9300i (got it used) -> Nokia E90 (got it used) -> Sony Ericsson Xperia pro -> Photon Q (got it used, SIM mod, Backlight voltage regulator died) -> Oppo Find 7 -> Blackberry DevAlphaC (Q10) -> Moto Z (got it used, battery died) -> Oppo Find 7 -> Pro 1 (soon)
  6. Does that mean no support for Android pay, as it will only pass basic integrity of the SafetyNet check?
  7. As the battery in my Moto Z recently died completely, I'm back to using my Blackberry DevAlphaC (developer version of the Q10) and I mostly miss Whatsapp. I'm however still amazed of just how good the UI and the messaging hub is in comparison to Android.
  8. I'm also not in the first batch (Indigogo + QWERTZ). Fingers crossed for an early second batch.
  9. My payment issue was also the fraud protection of VISA.
  10. As my previous post is awaiting moderation. The order page (via the account menu) still has my old name. Maybe that is the issue.
  11. I have the same problem. VISA, name and address matches, enough money Only information: Card was declined
  12. On my old phones with physical qwertz-sliders, I've used the predictions mostly as a very convenient autocorrect :) I somehow never got used to the included autocorrect, as it was either to cumbersome, or often wrong (dual language). I also feel that its different with a slider vs an external keyboard, as my fingers are much nearer to the screen on a slider.
  13. I've testet with a USB-keyboard: Gboard: No keyboard and recommendations, or full keyboard -> fail Blackberry Keyboard: Only recommendations in portrait-mode, but full keyboard in horizontal mode -> 1/2 fail?
  14. @Waxberry will suggestions still appear, as an extra bar, when the virtual keyboard is hidden?
  15. They are working fine using magisk as root-solution.
  16. @Waxberry I'm with @EskeRahn on the layout, as pressing two modifiers for an upper case umlaut would break the typing experience. (I think that I don't really have an issue with moving other symbols to the left)
  17. I hope this hasn't been asked before, but will the pro be certified for ARCore?
  18. 1. It's all personal opinion. I'm just stating my perspective 2. Flicking the phone just works. (on moto z) 2.1 no need to find the right key 2.2 no need to change your grip to enter a key combo 2.3 upside down / sideways doesn't matter, it just works
  19. @TeZtdevice my question is also about the convenience. Worst case is me writing my own crappy app for the feature.
  20. Hello, I'm currently using a moto-z (hoped for a keyboard mod ...) and one feature I would miss on another device is the ability to shake the phone to enable/disable the flashlight. It is incredibly handy not having to unlock the phone, or turn on the screen just to have light. While there are some apps that try to provide the same feature, they all fall short on either functionality or annoying ads (I would be willing to pay, but could't find a paid app). I think this (small) software change could provide real value to the phone. Thanks, Benjamin
  21. I think it would be best to make it user-configurable, if this is possible.
